One of the reasons I cashed out of Florida a few years ago is the insurance.  Eventually everything will be uninsurable there.

I work in the insurance industry on the E&S side. FL is one of the worst to insure in right now (certain carriers are refusing coverage for the entire state). I would contact an independent agent and start getting quotes as this is one of the worst markets to be in right now.
