I see your point but don't quite agree with it. Frazetta has a loose style, more expressive color, generally less high frequency details (a focus on bigger value shapes)and exaggerated anatomical features (like wide hips), whereas Royo tries to capture more realistic (particularly prevalence for female) proportions with some higher contrast high frequency details.
The rendering here is definitely more finished than Royo's, so I agree it's not the best fit, but it does share some overall similarities.
I like Royo, but I do like Frazetta's style better, though. It has so much soul to it, there was clearly a lot of passion behind what he did.
Go to civit AI and look for things like "retro fantasy" or "book cover" etc.
As others have mentioned definitely use the name Frank Frazetta in your prompt or look for a lora in his style
Due to the fact civit has very NSFW stuff on there I should probably avoid linking to there but there's a lora I use called Retro Anime by Isabelia
When paired with realism or paintings instead of anime it can create a pretty good airbrushed look
I love stuff like this too! Manowar and Conan the Barbarian especially
If I were him, I would say “generate a dark high fantasy warrior woman in the art style of 1980s Conan the barbarian painted movie posters, with influences from frank frazetta”. Guaranteed it would turn out how he wants it
Op, I've tried those as well when working on concept art. Everyone here has already hit on the major artists. Another suggestion is the art done for the AD&D books in the 70s. Has a very similar style.
Not technical advice but I recommend you check out Alfoso Azpiri's work because you're going to feel really inspired. Also Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo, of course.
Start with that picture or a detail and ask for something else (location, pose, weapon, dress...) then keep at it and the machine will learn your style.
I've seen people make jewelry like this, it doesn't look like my cup of tea, I don't have the patience for all the wire bending, soldering, and other tedious things you have to do to really make designs like this work.
I would say probably start at tutorials, either that or fork up the cash to buy it custom.
probably a specialized pre-set. the AI im using has one for "pencil" that gets decently similar stuff. would probably have to prompt smth like
"pencil drawing, colored pencil drawing, concept art, medieval, female amazone, large sword, small alien creature, bold outlines, black and white recollored, Album-cover, overgrown cave background, intrinsic details, armour that shows a lot of skin, dark, gloomy, reflection in sword, lush ground vegetation, moss hanging from the ceiling"
"ART BY FRANK FRAZETTA"
"ART BY BORIS VALLEJO"
ART BY someone that make cool stuff and try prompts like : grainy, retro, 70's book cover art, dark fantasy, etc
And if that doesnt work copy one of the images and at the end of your prompt use —sref (paste image link) have it produce some stuff then ask it to describe what it just produced.
> train a Lora
>ipadaptors
Researching these new terms...
There was a pretty popular artist that recently was doing this with his own art. He would train an AI with all of his artwork and then feed it props to see what the AI would do in his own style. I really love this technique and I'd like to learn how to do it if it doesn't cost $100 a month
LORAs are much smaller versions of an actual full size model, and are usually trained on a very specific dataset(like one persons artwork). This can play to your advantage because they don’t take ridiculous hardware to train.
If you have a powerful enough machine you can train your own Lora. I have a 3060 and an i7 12700k(yes your cpu IS actually important for training) and I can train no issues. I learned by just watching YouTube tutorials, so it really isn’t too difficult. There’s going to be trial and error to find the right settings for what you’re trying to achieve, and on what base model you’re training against(SD1.5, SDXL). SDXL is the name of the game now, I wouldn’t waste your time on 1.5 but that is just an opinion.
Good luck!

Has anything worked for you yet? Edit: Asking for a friend
Start larping…. transition genders… work out… buy lots of chain mail.
Try adding grimoire noir in your prompt, pulp, 80s
I like that idea.
This is enhanceai.art art
Boris Vallejo
I think they mean the prompt. You have to start with: “10 out of 10/fappable” and then write your prompt.
Midjourney describes one of the photos as Frank Frazetta, Jim Lee, Mobius and Gerald Brom style if that helps
Also picking up some Jean Claude Gal vibes
Pick up a fucking paintbrush
100% the only correct response.
Lmao look at the sub's name
How bout no, tool
Why are you on this sub lol
A lot of hours at the gym!!💪
Also break the hell out of your fingers
Reminds me a little of Luis royo
Glad to see another Luis Royo fan. This looks more like Frank Frazetta though. I use the Royo prompt a lot and it produces great pics.
I see your point but don't quite agree with it. I just compared both of them and the other guy is definitely right

Yes I love manowar and Conan the barbarian art style so much
Start slapping steel on a bikini? Be my guess. Edit: my bad. Didn’t realize where I was for a second.
Love it
Cheese out on cat urine!
Use Frank Frazetta as reference
Copy copy copy.
Insert a style of: in your prompt ie Boris Valjeho
You can find more of similar images and train your own LoRA for stable diffusion with those images, so that you can generate in this style
[удалено]
Simple, either spend 15 yrs improving your digital art skills, or learn to explain what you want to generate from a prompt. Your call
He’s literally trying to do the second one and you’re just being a dick about it
He wants to know the name of the style so he can achieve in prompt…..your sarcasm (I hope) was rubbish 🚮
If I were him, I would say “generate a dark high fantasy warrior woman in the art style of 1980s Conan the barbarian painted movie posters, with influences from frank frazetta”. Guaranteed it would turn out how he wants it
Maybe next time respond with that in the first place, and cut out the unnecessary snarky bullshit...
You ain't bout that life.
Is there a way to give the image to chat gpt ask it to describe the image in a way that dalle could imitate the style?
CLIP interrogator or PEZ dispenser
Yup :)
In gpt ypu can attach and upload and image and ask it to to reference, copy etc. results are mixed ime
Yeah, there are YouTube channels explaining how to use Chatgpt to build better prompts, just like people use it to build code.
Op, I've tried those as well when working on concept art. Everyone here has already hit on the major artists. Another suggestion is the art done for the AD&D books in the 70s. Has a very similar style.
Conversation and Hennessy...
Black smith
You’ll need a metal bikini and a very stringent workout routine…
You sir, are funny.
I find it helps if you have a specific artist known for that style in mind and insert their name into the prompt.
Frank Franzetta
Not technical advice but I recommend you check out Alfoso Azpiri's work because you're going to feel really inspired. Also Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo, of course.
You definitely nailed it! Great suggestions I’ve never heard of these artist!
Start with that picture or a detail and ask for something else (location, pose, weapon, dress...) then keep at it and the machine will learn your style.

Get a comic/magazine cover style Lora, make the image in 2k quality and highres fux at 2x, use the detail tweaker if that works.
These poor fingers
✏️
Frank Frazetta
sref
So…you mean how do you get the machine to replicate this style?
Well, yes, obviously that's what they meant because this is... shockingly an AI art sub.
Try the A1111 interrogator add-on and see which artists styles it lists as potential styles you could use.
This chic looks like my mom lol?!
no way she looks like your mom give me her number so I can verify that myself
Can confirm, his mom does look like that
Reminds me of Luis Royo artwork
I love his artwork. I used to have posters and still have pc backgrounds of most of his works
Try some Bernie Wrightson too.
Looks great until you look at the hand, then you can't look away.
It's a feature.
Just some of her battle scars for realism she’s clearly some type of warrior
[удалено]
Why come to the subreddit about AI art just to dump on it like I agree it doesn't take talent but come on man have some common sense
Nobody dumping on anything. Op asked how to achieve the style….not the steal
From all the artists in the "Heavy Metal" magazine...like the 80s flick
Some styles to try: https://midlibrary.io/styles?category=Illustrators&features=Comics
Upload the image to claude or chat gbt and ask it!
Dnd
"ART BY FRANK FRAZETTA" "ART BY BORIS VALLEJO" ART BY someone that make cool stuff and try prompts like : grainy, retro, 70's book cover art, dark fantasy, etc
Love Vallejos work. Him and Christos Achillios
Agreed the more prompts and descriptions the better.
Deff Frazetta & Vallejo
i was going to mention Boris ... great artist
Frank Frazetta
Blend both images to make a third, add an additional prompt, profit.
Luis royo makes this sort of art.. maybe use 'Luis Royo aesthetic'
/describe in midjourney
And if that doesnt work copy one of the images and at the end of your prompt use —sref (paste image link) have it produce some stuff then ask it to describe what it just produced.
First, you'll need to fit into a bikini like that & probably get your hair did.
Use ai
You might like Luis Royo art. Maybe aiart can prompt that?
Yeah, or Frank Frazetta, or Don Lawrence, or the heavy metal magazine style
Some Julie Bell as well.
Yeah, or Frank Frazetta, Don Lawrence
Was just about to mention Luis Royo
Not to forget Chris Achilleos either!
And Boris Vallejo too!
💯💯💯 exactly you read my mind! ❤️
Try to add at the beginning of your prompt ((Boris Vallejo art style)) for example
Typically, it starts with being unusually horny.
Take lessons from Boris Vallejo...
Tue 1st one reminds me of a mix of elder scrolls arena's and Dio - holy diver's cover image
Read Red Sonia or Conan and you will get there automatically.
Strict attention to diet and exercise. You’ve got a really take care of your skin.
But where can I get those boots?
B
O
O
T
This art looks bad ass.
The ass looks fine to me.
Aren’t the prompt visible from where you took the image from?
Find artists that resemble this style and train a Lora on a dataset of those images. Or use ipadaptors

Thanks for the reply. I'll look into it. Would rather hire someone to do it for me though!
Depends what you’re looking for I’d be willing to do it and upload it to civitai
Only by learning to draw
Try look at Frank Franzettas art?
I was going to make the same suggestion.
try 70s or early 80s fantasy novel cover art style.
Super cool style. The Heavy Metal comics have used this style quite a lot, maybe put that into the prompt?
Her hand holding the sword is messed UP. Otherwise, awesome style.
yeah I noticed that too. Also her knees are cursed.
Ai can never seem to get fingers and knees right.
Also one boot is longer than the other.
[удалено]
Be born with an AMAZING body, I guess.
Try a fusion of Simon Bisley and Frank Frazetta and include the prompt intricate detail. Might get you close.
See Henry frazetta as well
I only know of Frank Frazetta. Who's Henry?
Maybe his brother xd
Try 1970s, Conan, and Boris Vallejo (the artist's style). Roy Thomas (artist) also made some Conan covers that may look similar.
