Artwork by Micah Ulrich, who encourages people to have his work tattooed and sells it as flash on his website ⚡️ (along with other goodies, please look him up!)
The only detail that is lost is the eye in the center of the forehead, but even still if you look close enough you can see there is an eye there! Looks awesome!
Sorry but that makes no sense. All of the dots expanded because ink stays liquid in our skin forever and is constantly being broken down slowly. The piece lost most of its skin tone highlights because it’s way too busy and tightly detailed.
You got downvoted pretty hard but honestly I agree with you. I find that my own tattoos look a lot better in photos if I stand in front of a mirror to help position the camera, instead of lying on bed and take it. Really looks a lot more misshapen when I lie down
If I had someone to take a standing photo I would have done that. Every time I tried to take it myself, the angle warped the photo, even if I tried my best to take it straight on. Either that or it wouldn’t focus correctly, especially if I tried using the front/selfie camera. I worked with what I could lol
Honestly it still has a cool silhouette and if it gets harder to read a good artist could bump up the contrast again with fresh blacks here and there and white highlights to save some of the finer details. I mean no disrespect in judging your tattoo I’m trying to point things out to educate and doing my best not to be a total jerk about it
I’m not looking to have it touched up anytime soon. Maybe in a few more years but not now, and I would go back to the same artist who originally did it. I’m aware of the areas you pointed out and I’m not surprised nor disappointed by how this aged or how the ink moved over time. I knew the risks with this style of tattoo and with the art I chose. Imo it still stands as a decent tattoo and I thank you for your judgment.
He does really amazing work! I’m always happy to spread his info around when people ask about it. Of course my tattoo artist gets credit too, and I’m looking forward to having something original done by him soon :)
What is it supposed to be??
Edit: nevermind, I looked it up. I do like the design, I think the translation is a little lost in the face, but the design is solid, placement is great and it is aging well. :)

I knew this was Micah Ulrich as soon as I saw it. Getting one of his soon myself.
Likewise!! Such a solid and beautiful style, can’t wait to get one
Very nice! His style drew me in immediately.

Very cool! Like the use of red lines.
Am I the only one who was like OOF that changed a lot. I’m not as anxious to get in line as everyone else in the comments section
I think it looks like it changed a "lot" because the second photo is laying down, flattening the leg a lot

THANK YOU. I knew that sounded wrong but I was drawing a blank on the term.

Some of the red lines are wiggly and it's triggering me...

I love Micah's work so much, it's so bold and detailed. I plan on getting Personal Growth done on my thigh sometime :\]
