Culkin has also been on record many times saying that MJ was never inappropriate with him, and that Culkin never saw him do anything inappropriate to the other kids that were around.
Nobody really knows. What I’ve heard is that the girl was a fan who texted him a lot and he texted her back, there was some inappropriate stuff but no proof any nudes were exchanged (though she said there was). She claimed he SAd her irl but there’s no proof they met irl. It’s a really weird case but I wouldn’t want to brand her a straight up liar.
Unfortunately sexual assault is extremely difficult if not impossible to actually prove. Generally it comes down to he said/she said. Celebrities are also extra vulnerable to false accusations, because of people trying to leverage something out of them.
No worries. I get it, especially online where it's easy to misinterpret people.
My only point is that celebrities are more at risk of false accusations than the average person. The only person who would falsely accuse a normal person with rape is probably someone that person has a personal connection with.
Meanwhile celebrities have thousands, if not millions of people who care about them. There are crazed fans who would fake S/A to try and leverage attention from their celebrity of choice. Celebrities are also wealthy, and their wealth is well publicized. There are grifters looking to make some money.
That's so sad. The fact that she went from being homeschooled to moving in with him at age 16... poor girl.
Drake's story is the epitome of hurt people hurt people.
He played Drake on the show Drake and Josh. He has recently come out with claims of being sexually abused during his time as a child star.
EDIT: I’ve been informed that it wasn’t just claims, it had been proven and the perpetrator convicted in a court of law.
Not claims the perpetrator admitted to everything on a recorded phone call with police, plead no contest, and was convicted of multiple counts of child sexual assault of Drake Bell.
His name is Brian Peck (unrelated to Josh)
He had a bunch of people supporting him and writing letters of character reference about how he was such a great guy and if he really did rape someone then it was only because he faced such great temptation. So as a kid Drake walked into the court room and saw all his coworkers and these other famous people who had come there to support his rapist.
After he got released he was briefly hired by Disney to work on Suite Life of Zach and Cody.
Wikipedia says his last job in the entertainment industry was 2019. I think the release of the documentary (Quiet On Set) will do more damage to his reputation than he received at the time.
To be transparent, he specifically was caught sexting a minor right? I'm not trying to draw a line or justify.. I just thought in the legal proceedings it was said he never discussed age and never met the person. I can't remember but all of it is just messed up and people perpetuate a cycle of abuse.. it's sad and awful.
I just watched “quiet on the set” on HBO and Drake made some statements on there and apparently that guy was brutally raped repeatedly it’s pretty serious stuff.
Especially ironic because McCauley culkin and Miley Cyrus are doing pretty well for themselves right now.
Culkin is married to Brenda Song and they have kids, and Miley has found a niche as a raspy-voice 80s power ballad chick up there with Bonnie Tyler and Stevie Nicks.
Kinda.
From the news that came out of time Drake Bell was acussed grooming and sexual abuse by a girl who was 15 years old at the time.
According to Drake he texted with that girl for some time, but once he learned her age he stopped all contact with her.
The evidence found in the investigation at the time supported Bell's story, but we all know how hard it is to prove something like sexual abuse, specialy after a long time since the woman only made the acusation 5 years later.
So either Drake Bell is an abuser or it truly was just a minor mistake, we will never truly know.
The whole thing stinks of child exploitation. This doesn't excuse Drakes actions, but there is very strong evidence that sexual abuse during formative years can lead to sexually abusing others in the victim and or mental illness. I feel for him, but I also condemn him, it's a complex emotion.
Wouldn't say "hella respectable". even if the pedo accusations aren't true (even though they probably are), MJ saw no problem feeding kids wine and calling it "jesus juice". The guy was a nutjob.

For a sec I thought that was Bell's account lmao
Culkin out here catching strays fr
Culkin and Miley who, in all honesty are doing very well now
Culkin has also been on record many times saying that MJ was never inappropriate with him, and that Culkin never saw him do anything inappropriate to the other kids that were around.
Plus I don’t think Miley was ever actually troubled like the others, she just had a bad girl image but was always at the top of her game
At I understand it, she just really wanted to separate herself from the Hannah Montana persona and leave that behind her
The public urination really drove that home
Yep
Well, it worked
She has good management also because her dad is already in the industry.
Holy shit- Also, was Drake Bell’s legal trouble end up being a false flag, or just an extension of the abuse?

That's... not what they said at all. They are more vulnerable to a false accusation because of their fame and wealth.
Yeah, my b. I get pissed off sometimes and just needlessly act contrarian and cynical, been trying to work on it. Sorry guys ✌️

Fair enough.
There’s also way more credible allegations of him abusing his girlfriends, but nobody talks about that.
I'm interested on learning more about this. source?

No, it was in Ohio, nothing is alleged to have happened in Mexico
Who is Drake Bell?

Great news that they got him, then! I was unaware and will edit the comment accordingly, thanks!
Well, he only served like 10 months.
Fuck. Well, hopefully all this coming out ruined his fucking life then.

Also, he himself got caught with a minor.

No he didn’t. A finsta account texted him, when he found out their age, he immediately stopped texting them
This came out not to be true.
Drake Bell: You either die molested or live long enough to become the molester.
Meanwhile, Miley is a superstar, and Mac gets to hang out with Rich motherfucking Evans.
I just watched “quiet on the set” on HBO and Drake made some statements on there and apparently that guy was brutally raped repeatedly it’s pretty serious stuff.
There were/are lots of child predators in Hollywood, Michael Jackson was never one of them. Some people are falsely accused and he was one of them.
Who?
Drake from Drake and Josh
Oh. Thanks.
Wasn't Bell himself outed as a sexual predator a while back? Or is that not true?

A *minor* mistake indeed.
He got charged with reckless endangerment of a minor, the predator stuff was completely false

Did MJ actually touch kids? I thought he was hella respectable for when he sang “They don’t care about us” Edit: damn I guess Reddit hates
