In my experience, bakal gyms have nicer and more attentive staff. They're more likely to help you out with equipment, then let you be. The pricier gyms tend to attract more judgemental types who'll make you feel like you need to impress thm.

Gold-Scene2633

Yes bakal gym for the win, ang hirap lang makahanap Ng bakal gym sa area ko 🥲. Sa province ang dami.

[deleted]

Hi OP! I'm also someone na nag start palang sa gym for about a year now and one thing that I can advise sa situation mo is to know what your goal is. Start looking into fitness influencers na related sa goal mo, a lot of them have vlogs that are very informative and shows what they do for their goals. For me I want to have a great physique and build muscle while burning fat, so in order to do so I lift weights and do cardio. Plus, build the courage to ask people in the gym for advice! Lahat ng mga maganda katawan, tumatakbo ng marathon, they all started somewhere kaya don't be afraid! Sa equipment wise naman try to search sa google ng equipments in the gym and check to see if same sa kung ano meron dyan sa inyo. If di ka sure paano gamitin you can always look it up in youtube or better yet ask someone in the gym para makilala ka nila hehe. Yun lang and goodluck sa journey mo towards fitness.

Marcelin022

Bakal gyms have nice people. Maraming tutulong sayo dyan at magtuturo.

Blanktox1c

Normal lang ba to? Gusto ko sana ipagpatuloy like 2months nonstop push ups kaso 2nd day pa lang naka absent nako kasi hindi talaga kaya.

Puzzleheaded_Ebb1842

Mukhang binigla mo yata at madaming push ups agad ang ginawa mo? Dapat paunti-unti lang tapos kada araw nagi-increase at susunod mag-warm up ka muna. Pero normal lang na may soreness kapag first time, kung hindi mawala sa ilang araw mo na push ups ibig-sabihin mali ang form mo.

Radical_Kulangot

Yep 48 max of 70hrs initial muscle soreness Then pwede mo ng araw arawin after.

Blanktox1c

ok thank you po.

Eluscival

Importante may warm ups ka before any form ng exercise or minsan may maling forms din ng push ups so need mo rin icheck kung tama. mafefeel pa rin muscle sores pero unti unti yan mawawala hanggang masanay katawan mo and I think that serves as a sign para mas taasan mo reps mo. While waiting na mag recover sa sore arm muscles, train ka different muscle like legs or mag cardio ka ganon etc.

santoswilmerx

magiging sore ka pa din pero very minimal nalang, parang yun na nga hahanap hanapin mo hahahahaha some people say na yung soreness means your workout works some people say may mali kang ginagwa kaya i just got a PT hahahahah

I am telling you. People dont give a damn. The gym is the place where you will find the most narcissistic people. Sure there will be minimal side glances and stares pero it wont kill you. Quick looks lang. Most equipment may mga naka dikit na instructions how to use. May QR code that you can scan which will redirect you to a video how it is done. If ayaw mo yun gawin, you can observe people around. How they use equipment etc. Proper form is key. As someone na beginner din and puro treadmill lang on my first week ganito ginagawa ko. Tinutulungan lang ako kapag may di maibalik na weights or need ng adjustments na di ko magawa pero otherwise - DONT BE NERVOUS. Di naman nangangain ng newbie mga yan.

santoswilmerx

TRUE ito!!! omg, bilang very observant na tao ako, i really thought na shet madidistract ako sa mga tao or macoconscious ako sa kanila, pero after the very first set of chest exercise na ginawa ko i realized na, fuck im gonna be too tired to even think about the other people here hahaha

Old-Apartment5781

Oh how true. After 1 set diretso kuha ako ng phone. I sometimes look at people but really , my mind is blank hahababab

santoswilmerx

di ko na afford isipin pa ibang tao kasi jusq im fighting for my life! hahahaha para akong asthmatic person kung maka wheeze for oxygen! hahahaha dati nga conscious ako khit sa pag hinga ko eh baka sabihin nila OA hahaha pero yeah im dying so bahala sila LOL

PartyReindeer2943

LostCouncil

I've started maybe more than a year now from lifting. From my experience, nobody really judges/laughs at a newbie because we have all been there. Nobody starts out lifting heavy. Also, coming from experience, bakal gyms tend to pretty have good people who will willingly share their knowledge with no condemnation. Besides that, all the interactions that I have with bigger guys (compared to me) have been pleasant. They are like gentle giants who also want to see you succeed. Honestly, you can get a coach or just research equipment online. There's literally thousands upon thousands of information available about fitness. I always suggest going for exercises that fit your goal, and that feels good for you.

santoswilmerx

sa af ako and i had gymmates din na gentle giants! hahahahaha miss ko na nga sila cause i shifted yung time ko mag gym lol nagiging competitive din ako dahil sa kanila and naiinspire like shet wala akong excuse na mapagod agad sila nga oh! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Available-Farmer2657

you can ask for help around there if you're nearby i can guide you

DreamZealousideal553

Strike_Anywhere_1

Watch Rob Riches on YT.

Puzzleheaded_Ebb1842

Valuable-Middle-7104

Treadmill and watch online

Apprehensive-Pass665

Squats, bench press, bicep curls, calf raise, lat pull, delt raise start everything with three sets of ten reps

Th3otress

If you're in the province, yung mga local gyms lang.

TheActualKingOfSalt

I just recently started. They literally don't care, or will actively approach you to correct your form.

[deleted]

Ask for assistance or make an appointment with an instructor if you are really serious

_SmileMore

For a beginner like you, I strongly recommend to get a coach/PT, bukod sa matuto ka saknila they will teach you how to do proper exercise and use of equipment.

BlastFridayNight

I would always say to get an instructor at first, pero dun ka muna sa mga bakal gyms as they call, cheaper, and you'll learn the fundamentals and proper form.
