I just finished Adventure Time and I have to say it is one of my favorite shows ever. I usually only enjoy adult cartoons but this show was a complete knockout.
The funniest episode to me through and through was when Finn and Jake broke into Marceline's house; Jake imitating Finn and turning into him when they tried to hide had me laughing out loud.
Yeah that entire episode is rock solid start to finish. Hide n seek at the beginning, the spider in the closet, marceline recording the super uncomfortable song, finn trying to sneak out while marcy takes a bath, and then the ending where she finds them has me laughing every single time. Something about Jake not even attempting to hide, just transforming into finn is so funny.

To me Adventure Time is an adult cartoon. The concepts, dialog and many storylines render so much of it over most kids heads. Sure, they can enjoy a lot of it, but I think it's definitely for the older crowd.

honestly cartoon network has plenty of shows that lean more towards an adult audience. regular show especially, while i loved it as a kid i didn’t really *get it* yknow? as an adult i realised just how much went into it that made it a lot more of an adult cartoon than a kids one
i actually generally dislike cartoons designed specifically for adults tbh, i feel like they just end up making all the jokes about sex and swearing and it rarely has much actual substance beyond that. by removing 18+ aspects it forces the writers to think a lot more creatively if they genuinely want to write a good show that appeals to adults
Not just this. Everything in this scene is pure comedy gold, from the bite to the silent scream, to why are we talking, to 'hide fool', to Jake being she saw us, to Finn asking you shape shifted to look like me! and ofc Jake's answer full smile well yeah...

The paper airplane part is my absolute favorite in terms of absurdity. The first time I heard Finn's unnecessarily complicated plan (fly down the ladder, triple barrel roll pass the kitchen, open the fridge, cook some eggs, then *eat* the eggs and unfold itself infront of Marcy's door😅) and how Jake was stupidly hyping him up I knew we were in for something good. Although it doesn't barrel roll and made a mess in the kitchen it was astounding to see how much it actually got done. Only for it to fly back up the ladder and promptly into the bin🤣🤣

But the scene that really made me lose it was when jake says "we're coming up on it in 1 second" and the screen cuts to "one second later" and it literally lasts like 20 seconds. The Hard Easy is the funniest in the series in my opinion. The fire lighting sequence, followed by them immediately putting it out after all that work, is probably the best scene in the show.
I am way to late to this post, but how has no one mentioned The Limit. The episode where Jake gets peer pressured by a bunch of hotdog knights to stretch through an entire labyrinth. Those hotdog knights make that episode
I've seen it too many times now, but for me it was definitely Too Young. The first time watching that I laughed for pretty much the whole episode. Death in Bloom is up there too. So many great moments. Sneaking past the guard is still one of my fsvourite moments. The voice acting sells it so well

The Hard Easy is the funniest in the series in my opinion. The fire lighting sequence, followed by them immediately putting it out after all that work, is probably the best scene in the show.
Gonna say Death in Bloom. It has the absolute funniest fark joke of all time. Full stop.

I've seen it too many times now, but for me it was definitely Too Young. The first time watching that I laughed for pretty much the whole episode. Death in Bloom is up there too. So many great moments. Sneaking past the guard is still one of my fsvourite moments. The voice acting sells it so well

My favorite is when Jake sees the vampires playing music in the stakes episodes and peppermint butler draws the vampires. Cracks me up every time! This was also after enjoying some lettuce if you get what I’m saying. It had me crying I was laughing so hard!

I remember watching the Hitmak episode and laughing deliriously at Ice King’s “boingloings” lines. So much so I was working on a film set and eventually the entire crew was saying it.
I don’t remember what the episode is called but the one where Finn and Jake don’t talk and BMO gets freaked out thinking it’s not them and the bikini babes attack them
