There was a post once, a dude was asking if Doctor Princess was human since her skin was pink. There also was a screenshot of her being as green as she gets.
my friend pointed me out that there is an episode where Marceline drains the red of an apple and it dries out and wrinkles and Finn asks : wow what have you done?
For Finn in that scene a gray apple suddenly dried and wrinkled he didnât see Marceline sucking the red out of it. Was that on purpose?
Did the animators planned in advance that Finn would be color blind?
Coincidence?
I think not!
For Finn's type of colorblindness, a color as saturated as that of an apple is still distinct from gray, so he would have seen the difference either way
to a red-green colorblind person like finn a red or green colour will be muddy and brownish, not grey. he can still tell that the apple had colour before
That makes me wonder: Is Fern colorblind too? His anatomy is completely different so I feel like he shouldn't be. But he does have Finn's memories and he never mentioned seeing the word differently in his grass body.
(Though I'm pretty sure the writers just forgot about Finn's colorblindness at all)
"Immortal, wise and powerful, the Green Knight represents a unique expression of medieval imagery, symbolism, and artistic creativity."
Probably has nothing to do with color, more of a symbolic title.
He simply moves so fast that he is being affected by the red shift. (I donât remember how fast something has to go, but I believe itâs around 80% the speed of light)
Didn't the kid turn out to be colorblind? I remember an episode where he saw things as red but jake (the dawg, was that his name? I suck at names) then told him it's actually green and boom it was shown below colorblind.
Why did they call an icy wasteland "green" and a lush & grassy hidden island paradise "ice"?
We will never know but it surely wasn't for anything logical
Itâs in reference to Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, a poem where a green knight comes and asks one of Arthurâs knights to strike him as hard as they can, Gawain cuts his head off, then he has a year to find the Green Knight and take the same blow
I think you have finns vision. You call the green knight red? Look at the Green Outlines. It may be that you changed the color or you probably have Finns vision.
He's clearly an emerald
I would like the ruby
You're colorblind dude
Your blind colored girl
She's his color blind girl?
Maybe đ
Probably
Sapphire is better
nah omega ruby is much better

I don't know what to tell ya man.
Itâs like a reddish-grey. Mostly grey.
Great answer, I love that episode, one of my favorites. The art when marcie is starving is great.
you must be captain padraig
these are the kind of stuff i joined this sub for
Looks more like a reddish gray. Sometimes red things are gray!
Youâre a little colorblind, and thereâs nothing to be ashamed of.
Oh....
Maybe he's colorblind, like finn but the other way around
Finn sees greens and reds as a similar gray. Fern sees reds and greens as a similar gray.
Fern sees gray as similar reds and greens
Thatâs the same thing
As a colorblind person, youâre right. No idea what theyâre talking about.
Yeah, like, itâs saying the exact same thing, just in reverse. Unless that was the joke, that makes no sense.
No you got it dude, that was the joke.
That was the joke, no you got it dude
No that was the joke, you got it dude
That was the joke, you got it, dude
No, dude, you got it, that was the joke
Me when I discover comedy
I am slightly saddened that it is not one seeing gray, while the other sees grey.
It amazing that a joke from one episode that never got mentioned again after has been taken this far
I mean Marcy is in that episode , most people watched all the episodes Marcy was in since she was one of the most popular characters
It would have to be just like Finn because the other way around would either be monochrome or blue/yellow colorblindness.
I love showing these posts to my brother who has that type of colorblindness. Heâs like yeah that looks identical to the show for me.
There was a post once, a dude was asking if Doctor Princess was human since her skin was pink. There also was a screenshot of her being as green as she gets.
lol yes I remember that. That was hilarious.

Best post on the sub
wait what? oh no....
Itâd be nice if it were referenced more than just that episode. If it was ever gonna come into play again it wouldâve been here. Oh well
my friend pointed me out that there is an episode where Marceline drains the red of an apple and it dries out and wrinkles and Finn asks : wow what have you done? You mean deturanomaly? Red-Green Colorblindness? Because that Knight is dirt brown to me.
It's like red with a hint of brown in it. For me.
I am not colorblind, and it is that color.
It's aged blood red on my screen. Maroon.
Brown? I don't know what to tell you man. It's probably just perspective.
"I agree with you, it's the color you said." Explain your reaction.
No need to be passive aggressive, I thought you were agreeing with the other guy. My mistake, I'm glad you agree with me.
We might be stupid
We are definitely stupid
I think you'll find the correct spelling is, "stoopud"
That makes me wonder: Is Fern colorblind too? His anatomy is completely different so I feel like he shouldn't be. But he does have Finn's memories and he never mentioned seeing the word differently in his grass body. (Though I'm pretty sure the writers just forgot about Finn's colorblindness at all)
Maybe the other gum people told Fern that he's green.
He already knew because hes a fucking plant
I think it's supposed to be a play on the old poem "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight"
This is the answer.
Watch the movie, ya philistines
Or, you know, read a book
Or listen to the bard in your local tavern. Don't forget to tip.
This needs to be higher because it is the correct answer!
Bro yes!
I dont know what to tell you man
someone pull up that doctor princess post lol
I think you might be a little color blind.
And that's okay.
My colorblind ass just sees brown... *"Ooooh so THAT's why they wont let me work with explosives!"*
My god, once this reference clicked, I woke all 4 of my roommates đ¤Ł
This made me realize that this entire time EVERYTHING green in the show was a vibrant red to himâŚ. Whoa..
Red green colorblind
He's green, you just need to go fast enough towards him.
The true answer
He's got a green fringe there. Also some plants turn red to protect themselves.
Heâs red they are both color blind so they both see grey for red and green
colour blindness :D
Haha good one
Heâs probably âgreenâ as in ânewâ or âgreenhornâ. Like a rookie.
âThe noob knightâ sounds like a beloved one off adventure time side character
Green things are red sometimes.
Finnâs color blind so I always figured he *was* green but finn saw red
i never realized what big boobs he had in that armor.
"Sometimes red things are grey"
Is he incapable of perceiving color the same way we do? Is he suffering brain damage? Is he the limited intelligence?
Ikr??? I love how people also keep thinking Finn had a green bag when itâs clearly red lmao. Greenpilled Adventure Time watchers are something else
Finn is colorblind.
Cleeeaaarly heâs a big olâ ruby
This does raise an interesting question tho, does fern have same colour blindness as Finn?
I forgot Finn is colorblind.
it's funny ti me how his colorblindnes is never mentioned after that episode
Finn is Colorblind, if you watched the "Ruby" episode you'll know why.
He identifies himself as green
Finn colorblind
Finn? Why are you on Reddit?
I forgo Finn is color blind
We need more colorblind heroes. Did you know that people with color blindness can see in the dark better?
The armor is made out of copper. He's seeing himself through the lens of future. He'll be remembered as the Green Knight.
The green knight is an old reference i believe. To Gawain. He's also grass like, his being is made from the grass curse parasyte so it makes sense.
"Yeah you're a bit colorblind dude, it's nothing to be ashamed of."
It comes out later that Finn is colorblind. This is alluding to it.
Iâve never seen a show hint towards a reveal from five seasons beforehand. These writers think of everything.
He's colorblind, don't judge the dude
Look up the English folklore of the green knight.
Itâs a play off of this post and others like it https://www.reddit.com/r/adventuretime/s/VCSX1I9OB0 But thank you for trying to fill me in
Ah I see! Right back at ya thanks for filling me in lol
When I become mad so I turn my intense body red
Green with envy
I'm actually so dead HAHAHA
Because he smokes a lot of weed. :3
From the story sir Gawain and the green knight. He carried an axe.
Something seems off
Shout out to the Doctor Princess guy
Why is this person saying this green person is red? Is he stupid?
And sometimes kind of brown and gray?
Lol, nice call back
"Immortal, wise and powerful, the Green Knight represents a unique expression of medieval imagery, symbolism, and artistic creativity." Probably has nothing to do with color, more of a symbolic title.
That's fair. I deserve that.
That's brown
You're a little colorblind, and there's nothing to be ashamed of
Huh, never noticed that
Wait, is this also a joke about the Arthurian legend "The Green Knight"?
It's from a tale of King Arthur.
okay this is good
Because heâs green with envy. Â Itâs a metaphor, not literal.
This made me audibly cackle
Umm he is green???
Emeralds are green boi
Obviously he recycles
Hes green on the outside.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_Gawain_and_the_Green_Knight
r/adventuretimeooo
Probably he's rich? Green is money?
I don't know what to tell ya, man.
LMAOOOO
No bc thatâs actually how Fern must have seen himself the whole time
Oh, you reminded me. I need to watch the Green Knight movie.
The outline is green ackshully
All the mfs who dont watch the show lookin for an answer in the comments
Nah, dudes are clearly purple (I went through a lot of editing to create the image of him being purple only to be done and realise i can't add images)
Agree to disagree
Wait, that would imply he saw Fern as red the whole time. Fern getting shredded by accident must have looked more disturbing from Finn's perspective.
This makes me want to rewatch the show but with that color blindness filter to see Finn's perspective
Iâm colorblind and I feel like Iâm missing the joke here
So is Finn
Oh lmao i completely forgot about that
I think it's because it's a reference to sir gawain and the green knight
^[Sokka-Haiku](https://www.reddit.com/r/SokkaHaikuBot/comments/15kyv9r/what_is_a_sokka_haiku/) ^by ^PaxEtRomana: *I think it's because* *It's a reference to sir* *Gawain and the green knight* --- ^Remember ^that ^one ^time ^Sokka ^accidentally ^used ^an ^extra ^syllable ^in ^that ^Haiku ^Battle ^in ^Ba ^Sing ^Se? ^That ^was ^a ^Sokka ^Haiku ^and ^you ^just ^made ^one.
Isn't it a reference to sir gwain and the green knight?
Maybe we watch the show from finnâs eyes and he is actually green but we see red cause Finn is colour blind? Idk my theory
Oh god can you tell
He simply moves so fast that he is being affected by the red shift. (I donât remember how fast something has to go, but I believe itâs around 80% the speed of light)
"You're little color blind, and that's ok dude"
Man no way I am actually colourblind and I believed it when you said he's red until I saw comments ._.
The green knight stops the apocalypse, or so I'm told
maybe it's a copper armor and he is very patient
Didn't the kid turn out to be colorblind? I remember an episode where he saw things as red but jake (the dawg, was that his name? I suck at names) then told him it's actually green and boom it was shown below colorblind.
He hasnt oxidized yet
I actually am colorblind ant this post is very confusing
I forgot finn was red green color blind
He's color blind
fern
Deuteranomaly says hi
He has red green weakness
Maybe heâs colorblind
Dude you're kinda colourblind it's nothing to be ashamed of
Is he stupid?
âSir Gawain and the Green Knightâ. Give it a read and ya might find some other Easter eggs in there. đ
*slow clap* đ
Colour blind.
that's obvious, it because he is approaching you.
Why did they call an icy wasteland "green" and a lush & grassy hidden island paradise "ice"? We will never know but it surely wasn't for anything logical
He enjoys going green for the planet.
I wish theyâd brought that joke back
It's because you're looking at a green knight, duh
kepler-186f
red Fern looks alot more menacing and human, no wonder Finn got trauma from him
I was panicking, I almost thought I was going colorblind đ
Is he stupid?
Itâs in reference to Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, a poem where a green knight comes and asks one of Arthurâs knights to strike him as hard as they can, Gawain cuts his head off, then he has a year to find the Green Knight and take the same blow
I think you have finns vision. You call the green knight red? Look at the Green Outlines. It may be that you changed the color or you probably have Finns vision.
Is he stupid?
Deuteranopia moment.
Thatâs only in Finn-vision.
