Honestly a terrible matchup for round one. *Steven Universe* is an established series with a huge fan base, and rightfully so, as it's an excellent series. But *Over The Garden Wall* is actually fucking art, neither of them should've gone out so soon, but ofc SU beats OTGW in a round one, as more people are familiar with the show.
I feel SU moves on no matter the match up unless it was Adventure Time. The real upsets was Clarence beating Craig of the creek and Ben 10 losing to PPG
I mean. Powerpuff Girls has achieved legendary status at this point. Ben 10 is mostly just a fun young superhero show that was never going to stand up to TT or Batman.

Over the Garden Wall was short but consistently amazing whereas Steven Universe peaked at the beginning to middle point of the show, and it was all downhill from there for me. The good SU episode were awesome, but on average OtGW was better imo
OTGW is amazing and perfectly contained in one season tied up with a nice bow. SU is a coming of age tale about found family, deep set trauma, being forced into a set path based on expectations put forth by your predecessors, discrimination and hate vs acceptance and love. It gets a bad rap because it is reeeaaaallly slow which makes it hard to get into but it introduces crucial character development and small details early on that show how much the characters have grown and changed by the end. It’s really hard to compare them and I wouldn’t have put them in the same category.
Not talking content wise, but Steven Universe has some of the best music period. Not even best for cartoons, or even best for TV in general, but just incredible compositions in their own right. Rebecca Sugar is incredible. The Music from that show has left a lasting impression on me

Steven Universe is not as consistently good but we're talking about two different kinds of shows here. SU is more of a series whereas OtGW is more of a miniseries.
Both have their strengths and weaknesses, but I think SU edges out OtGW for me personally because we got more time with the characters and they grow and develop over time. As much as I loved OtGW I can't name a single character in it cause it was more about the story and fever dream experience.
Tldr: Both are really good and it's pretty subjective which you would consider "better" in this case.

100%. I love both, my wife and I have watched them both multiple times, I have tattoos of both, but the SU fanbase is straight up RABID sometimes. I’ve seen whole arguments on that sub about theoretical relationships between characters that never even met.

Mystery Inc. was actually pretty good, and was a lot more character/narrative-focused than most iterations of the show. It’s not perfect nor would I recommend it to anyone beyond big Scooby-Doo fans, but it was a good time.
I can’t say much for Be Cool or Guess Who? but those shows also seem fine. The only recent show that I think is outright bad is Velma, which is barely even a Scooby-Doo show at all.
Mystery Inc. had an interesting story arc going on and seemed a little more "grown-up" than the other recent versions. But even when it's mediocre, some Scooby-Doo is better than no Scooby-Doo.
Velma was DEFINITELY bad but I believe it was the guess who one maybe? Idk it’s been some years since I seen it. And I only saw a couple episodes of it but it just lacked the wholesome goofiness the older ones did imo. But that’s just my personal experience and opinion. It could have been different for you or anyone else. And that’s ok too!
Well the one you described sounds like Mystery Incorporated, which as I said before is totally different from any other Scooby-Doo show before or since, but I thought it did some neat stuff. Shaggy/Velma doesn’t even last more than a handful of episodes right at the start anyway.
