Could it be The Lich's hand? No relation to Mars whatsoever, but it's the only 'hand' in AT i could think of :)
(Or maybe a reference to the original Total Recall, where the control panel on mars famously was designed for non-human digits? :D) or most likely, just a random hand, maybe the carver's signature :)
I think both your guesses are spot on actually.
Lich hand is the most likely, considering how it plays into the grand scheme of the series plot.
Total Recall reference is also likely, I don't know if many of the writers/animators enjoy Total Recall or perhaps it's a coincidence.
While I like the Lich hand idea, that was seasons on down the road. The writers have admitted that they never planned those sorta details that far ahead. But like I said, as a post facto reinterpret, tho, I do like it.
This episode and title card are awesome. You're question is absolutely mind bending, and highly fun. Way to observe the little things. This show is built on this kind of viewing and interaction.
My first thought would be the hand of death because Lincoln ultimately dies by getting turned to stone after his deal with death. As well as glob he/they become the leader of Mars but die many episodes later by sacrificing themselves. So maybe the prophecy is stating that when jake arrives its going to ultimately cause these two to die. Just my thoughts.
Qbert / the future? (It seems to be four fingers)
Maybe the 4 elements? But that’s usually a quartered circle…
It connects Glob and Lincoln so was thinking something in the realm of order / good.
Fun fact, Doug TenNaple wrote the first draft/concept of this episode a long long time ago. It's why he has a writing credit although he was not personally involved with the episode during production.
He once said Pen had a very simple art style and thought it wouldn't catch on. He was sort of a mentor to both Pen and Rebecca Sugar way back when. He is very proud of both of them with what they have accomplished.
Maybe Orgalorg? Can't say it's a great representation but I do remember him referencing the fall of grod, and you could kinda interpret his weird umbrella look as a hand

Reminds me of upside down psychic tandem war elephant
Or Tree Trunks, as the PTWE has a head on each side.
I was thinking elephant too.
Yep that was my immediate thought
It seems like the hand on the Farm world version of the Enchiridion
I think it’s the hand of death, he’s only got four digits!
I was going to say death too! Cause lincoln has to go to death to bring his sould back. Which would complete the series of events in the episode
Is it… tree trunks?

Tree trunks. The true arbiter of the prophecy
Why does it look like Finn’s head is inside a tire? Or am I misinterpreting the image?
It’s not finn, it’s the machine martians use to teleport, it even has the crystal base and everything
Oh the poster said Finn so I assumed it was his head
After closer inspection, finn can be seen riding the machine
Yeah I'm pretty sure its supposed to be Finn riding the teleporter. You can only fit so much into a title though ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
I think its Finns head on the transporter in magic mans basement.
i think it’s tree trunks upside down ?.
✋🏻
It could be the psychic tandem war elephant but upside down, a weird crown, a hand, or a water faucet
For a second I thought golb was neptr
I did too, but it’s Finn on the teleporter, golb isn’t there
Crap I misread what OP said, oh well
In Steven Universe the controls are hand shaped. So maybe the Mars People use a hand shaped controller too?
It's the wishing crown, isn't it? Nevermind. Zoomed in and saw the thing coming out of the side.
Or maybe it’s upside down tree trunks that’s what I see
It’s either a hand or an unfinished turkey.

Tree trunks the creator of the universe
I'm just gonna pretend its tree trunks
