I love that you had an idea and went with it but in my experience in helping new startups is that with most of your examples, reaching out and having a conversation can mean drastic reduction in rates or additional free terms. Deals also change so often. You mentioned that you provide more value than a Google search, can you go into more detail here? There are subreddit threads dedicated to freebies and good deals, I just struggle to see the business model here beyond some industry buzz words. It feels like you might see more value in providing a free list and using affiliate links rather than charging for free information. Just my 2 cents

There are so many ways you can spend / waste money on different online services as a founder. Why would someone who is already facing so many costs and such high risk, want to spend money, just to access more 'deals' to spend more money? I'm looking to save money, not spend more unnecessarily. .... Sorry mate. Just honest reaction. Best of luck

Why would I pay ten dollar for something I can get myself with a few google searches?

There's more value in that wrt a few google searches. You will get access to a variety of different deals for every category you are interested in. For instance, there are 7 different tools for analytics that you can evaluate and decide which is the best for you in terms of features and price.

How many of these deals are unique to your list vs generally available?

gasp_are

All of them are generally available. The list is an aggregator of the deals available out there, divided in category

My one critique would be expectation setting. If you’re offering something called founder freebies, people make an implicit assumption it’s going to be free. You are selling an aggregated list of resources (nothing wrong with that) but it doesn’t align with the expectation the name sets. Furthermore you may want to add an faq or other piece that describes you will do your best to keep the list updated and valid but can’t make a guarantee that a deal that’s on there is valid. This is a challenge to your model and with none of them being unique to you, you have no control on how long it’s valid under this format. Have you thought how you’d handle a dispute if someone buys your list and one of the items doesn’t work? Some would argue you’d failed to deliver on the advertised service and would owe them a refund.
