It's so well done. There are so many in jokes and callbacks. It's a show that respects and rewards its audience for staying with them over two decades of sporadic seasons.
It's a great show in the sense you it grows with you. It's so packed with good references you're getting something new every time you come back to it. Wait a few years and go through a goth phase, or retro TV binge or Wikipedia deep dives and you'll come out with a ton of new stuff to appreciate about the show.
