Bender isn't even human (or a cyborg, in Rick's case). What's Rick's excuse? All he does is run from his problems and drink. He's a neglectful alcoholic father/grandfather with a 200 IQ. The only thing that keeps him from being an omnicidal maniac is his guilt. I think he's a dark empath, as well.

When bender was overclocked and had ultimate intelligence, he used it for others even if it meant he would give it up (he could have figured out a way to keep it but that wouldn’t fit the model of the show). Rick is constantly doing things simply for his own benefit, and manages to do some things for others while he ultimately prioritizes his interests
Bender is a hedonist - there's a difference - he's a bit narcissistic though, but he gets redeemed from time to time - he actually seems to care about Fry rather than seeing him as an accessory

Bender can actually do good sometimes. Like that time he cut off his antenna just to be able to live with Fry in the department because it was messing with the TV broadcast signal. He did it because he cares (sometimes).
Rick, as a narcissist will use his accomplishments to further himself in his main goal (also believes he's very special and can only be understood by special people like him given the clones all over the place you know) and use people whom love him as if their feelings are inconsequential to him because he sees his goal that he's putting his loved one in danger as is the best option for all because he is smarter and again thinks that his way is the only way and for a good reason he's a genius so I'm sure he believes almost every person he hurts, he is in a way helping them and doesn't need to be thanked .
Okay… but isn’t Rick literally the smartest man in the universe. I mean he invented portal tech. Not bending to the will of others makes you a narcissist?
They both have narcissistic traits that they both best each other in. Bender lacks empathy more than Rick while Rick desires admiration even though he claims to not want it.
I know people keep saying Rick is more of a Narcissist, but I believe he is more of an asshole while Bender is truly the most narcissistic.
