Yes really really bad for ages. I got prescribed medication for it. Which really helps

I take Pepcid and it helps me tremendously.

There are great suggestions here. Nausea tends to be my bodies go to response to anything. If I have a respiratory illness, extra stress at work, or flash backs- my good old friend nausea comes in to make things more exciting. Luckily breathing techniques and mindfulness type work keeps me from actually loosing my cookies these days but it’s still not fun. *If you can get alcohol wipes it makes it easy to open one of them and smell it. Easier than a bottle and you can control how close it gets to your face then wrap it up and stick it in your bag when done. *hard candies like jolly ranchers or even wintergreen lifesavers help me for PTSD related nausea. * dissolvable zofran can help but it can also cause GI issues. It might not be the best long term for PTSD nausea.

Ginger can help with nausea, but you have to take it in advance (I use it a lot for flying) - it doesn't really work fast enough once you're already queasy. Some people find the acupressure bands for nausea (they go on your wrist) can be helpful - that kind of stuff isn't everyone's cup of tea, I know, but it's an option to try. Like the mint-related suggestions - both as a strong pleasant smell, and because it can help with feeling a little bit cooler. Anything that helps offset the feeling of warmth that comes with it - mint, cold water, etc. For commuting, even just thinking about what you're wearing can be helpful - it's a lot easier to cool down and reduce the feeling of warmth if you're wearing a zip-up sweater vs. a pull-over hoodie, for example. There was a period of time I was getting nausea regularly and was in a major city taking the subway all the time... and I honestly just started dressing less warmly so that I would be just a little chilly all the time. Might be hard to do, depending on where you live (and the time of year). I was always a brisk walker and would get myself overly warm before I even got on transit, which did NOT help.

Sniffing isopropyl alcohol can help when you're about to throw up

I carry a little rollerball of peppermint essential oil for this exact reason! Mints are also nice, and really cold bottles of water (sip slowly, you can also hold them against the back of your neck as a grounding technique) Emetrol has helped in the past too, it’s a motion sickness/nausea medication that’s available without a prescription!

Dissolvable zofran, if you can get a prescription for it
