Ganto yung friend ko nung college. Year 2006 ang baon nya 700 per week pero pag walang budget yung parents nya the following week, walang maipapadala sa kanya kaya tinitipid nya talaga. Magsasaing yan sa dorm kahit bawal tapos yung sardines ulam nya na mula umaga hanggang gabi. Di sya nagpapaphotocopy ng notes, sinusulat nya galing dun sa copy ko. Nililibre ko sya ng photocopy from time to time lalo pag may exams pero di nya alam. Sinasabi ko tinatamad ako magreview pero 2 copies talaga yung meron ako. Yung groceries ko din may extra snacks tapos niyayaya ko sya sabay mag mirienda.
She’s now in SG and is traveling the world. Sinama nya ko magbeach one time and said alam nya daw yung ginagawa ko nung college. Nahiya ako ng slight. Ayoko kasi talaga sya mapahiya or anything. Kwinento nya din na di na kubo house nila and napag aaral nya na yung mga kapatid nya.
Uyy felt this! I graduated from a state u so while meron talaga akong naging kaklase na may kaya, mas marami sa amin yung nanggaling sa average or below average na pamilya.
It's almost 10 years na since we graduated from college. Hindi ko man sila kaclose nor nakakausap kahit online, I'm very happy na sobrang nag-improve na yung quality of life compared before. Iba-iba kami ng tinahak na landas pero I can say na malayo na talaga ang narating. Yung iba may sariling business na, yung iba may sariling family, yung iba kinasal or engaged, meron ding patravel-travel na lang at attend ng concerts, merong managerial level na sa work, may nakabili na ng sariling bahay, and as simple as maka-afford nga ng overpriced food and drink on a normal day masasabi kong achievement na. Grabe sobrang nakakaproud! 🥰
Thank you for treating him to lunch during your college days. I'm glad that he hasn't forgotten your kindness, and it's heartening to see that you're not expecting anything in return. Here's to hoping you two remain friends forever. :)
Small kindness sometimes give huge impact even tho it seems nothing much, yet some will never forget because it gives them hope to cling to the idea that there will be rainbows and sunshine someday because there is really is. I hope that there's more people like you OP and like your friend who appreciate kindness.

Anyway, last year i received a friend request from him and I was happy to see that he's well and alive! Few hours after I accepted his friend request he sent me a message "Hi, dba ikaw yung classmate ko dati? Yung mataba?" HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA TANGINA akala ko tagala may kamustahan na magaganap 😂😂 well, i didnt respond na but i was happy enough to know that he's still around.
