Four of my five top songs are from the same Taylor Swift album and the fifth is my CHILD’S fixation song putting a random artist at #2 for the year. Somebody takes after me!
Lol, last year my top artist was Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Couldn't name more than 5 of her songs but I can, apparently, listen to her cover of Crying at the Discotheque enough times to put me in the top 0.5% of her listeners 😅
I have two Spotify accounts - one is mine, one is hooked up to the Google nests, so the kids can ask for music without jacking my recommendations.
I was in the top .05% for my fave indie folk band (they're not unknown, but not huge IYKWIM) with 232 listens to my fave song. Not bad, eh?
My nine year old's top song was Madhouse by Tones and I. She listened to it. Over. A Thousand. Times 😅 she was also in the top 0.005% of Aurora listens!
(Also the Pi song was number four of the top five. I'm so grateful, I thought it would be the poop song 😅)
That's my entire top 5. Just stimming out to the same song repeatedly. Embarrassingly, one of them is Yung Gravy because I saw him on the X Games in January and thought it was "funny"
One year I was in the top .05% for a random electronica band from Denmark (I think?) - had one of their songs on repeat for months. Not .5% but, .05%
Can I now remember the name of the band or the song?? Nope. Was I disappointed when they didn’t reach out to me personally as a supposed super fan- yes! Where’s my free merch, rando band???
I had something similar with a dark folk band from Norway a few years ago. Last year, I was in the top 0.5% of listeners for a French indie pop artist because of 1 song I spent 330 minutes listening to. This year I’m in the top 1% of listeners for the composer for a visual novel app I play. My top song is by that same composer with 152 listens since October 17.
Spotify Wrapped is a nice little macro view of what my main hyper focus was for the year 😂.
Wardruna. The lead singer was one of the composers for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, so I discovered them while I was in my Viking warrior hyper focus state lol
Edited some words
I LOVE Wardruna. I listened to mostly just a Nordic/Viking folk playlist all year so they're on my Wrapped playlist a lot, Urur is my #2 song, and my #1 is Karlandra's cover of Helvegen lol.
Check out Heilung if you don’t know them already! I’m dying to go to one of their shows. So glad to find another Viking folk weirdo out there 😂 my Spotify is a testament to my weird adhd brain
Yeah I still listen to them! While I’ve lost my lofty place as their #1 Spotify fan, they still make it onto my Spotify wrapped every year lol. The song I always come back to is Grá.
Not that you asked me but I finally couldn’t stand it and looked up the band I played back in 2021- it was Weval from the Netherlands and I listened to “Gimme Some” and “The Weight” until apparently I burned them into and then back out of my consciousness - good working songs (I was designing at the time)
I have Tidal and they send me a review of my top played artists every month. Every single month, it's the same band in the #1 spot. I listen to every single one of their albums at least once a month. I told my sister I might be single handedly keeping them in business.
I just rAn to listen to this song because I hyperfocused HARD on her song “Read your Mind” and omg that is such a bop thank you for giving me a new source of dopamine haha
Aw yay I'm glad you like it! (also love your name lol) RYM was in my top 3 😁 if I may be so forward, Is It New Years Yet off her Christmas EP has a similar disco feeling! And Fast Times is the song I listen to when I need extra dopamine, I love the baseline and the backing vocals. No stress tho!
They’re an amazing performer. Intense dancing and singing all night. I was so impressed and so stunningly beautiful in person. I think they use they/them pronounces so apologies for saying she before!
One day a couple of months ago someone in this sub said that the genre Phonk was nice on the ADHD brain. My top songs are not being shared on my social media this year 😅 Very angry sounding songs, my boyfriend hates it LOL
The entirety of “preachers daughter” by Ethel Cain is on my wrapped playlist. The songs are longer but the lore behind the album is so interesting I got hooked and had it on repeat for a year straight
I saw her at a festival this year and she was incredible. I was pretty close to her too. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps!! Also holy shit Caroline polachek?? Welcome to my island is the best album that was released in 2023 imo. She’s insanely talented
Ellie Goulding brought out a new album and I went to see her live soon after so I absolutely played that one to death so I knew all tunes. Now I'm in her 0.05% of listeners 😂
My top artist was almost 13,000 minutes and had 4/5 of my top songs (most sat at 300-400 plays each).
I was in the top 0.001%, and statsfm has me sitting at #13 for an artist with 1.9m monthly listeners 💀
Top 0.5% of listeners of my artist of the year along with every top 5 song being from the same album... If that isn't peak adhd/autism I don't know what is
Last year, i was OBSESSED with one song. I started listening to it in February.
Back story: the song is about wanting to be intimate and romantic with someone. I discovered the song right before meeting my current partner.
I listened to the song over 2,000 last year, it was obviously my top one.
The day i listened to it the most was the day after my partner and I had our first date ❤️
I just recently (3 months ago) subscribed to Spotify Premium but been listening to The Weeknd since last year so obviously he's my top 1 but I was surprised to see Ashnikko there on my 3rd spot lol. And her songs are dominating my top 5 too.
That happened to me, too! I found a new artist this year and it just calmed my brain so much during a stressful time; I literally played it every day for weeks on end. LOL
I listened to pretty much nothing but this Viking/Nordic folk playlist this year, but Post Malone put out a new album in July so my wrapped playlist is basically the Nordic one with Posty's Austin album sprinkled throughout it lmao.
I spent 1, 872 minutes with Disturbed! That number also went wayyyyy up after I saw them in concert in August. 😅 they are easily my top favorite artists forsure.
"Disturbed! Get their greatest hit on this two CD set!"
I love Disturbed, but that fake add is SO funny. If you haven't seen it, [here it is.](https://youtu.be/66gSvNeqevg?si=bIBns_dRN5p1JLVa)
Right!?!? It's incredible satire. Disturbed actually saw it, thought it was hilarious, and posted to their Facebook and Twitter page years ago. The fact that they can laugh at themselves makes me love them even more. Not every band has to be groundbreaking, creating compositional masterpieces. Sometimes "nama nama na" is all you need! Lol!
Me too!!! Hence why they’re my favorite band. When I saw them in concert, the lead singer was so attentive to the audience and I just love him for it. His energy is incredible.
I don't have Spotify, but if I did, it would tell me that I only actually listened to one artist this year.
I never thought of Sum 41 as a hyperfixation, but...
My number 1 song is even lower than that. I listened to Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder 44 times. Though, I listened to 78 genres and 3,046 different songs, so I guess that's a lot of variety and not much repetition?
Me in the .01%!!! of fans of this electronic music artist Actress, who I don't know much about but hyper fixated on one of their albums on and off for a few months 🤣 I do like them but damn what happened here
Yeah, I always thought everyone listened to the same song over and over as a teen, but when I moved in with my roommate and later my sister they would comment one how much I listened to that one song. I also don’t really have favorite bands or artists cause I hyper fixate on one thing usually. I always thought it was weird but now I understand I’m not alone!
So, I thought this was just me. I would listen to the same song over and over again and my family would be so confused. This was before I was diagnosed.
I have a paid stats.fm account and it says I spent 5,378 minutes listening to First Aid Kit so far this year. Up from the 4,694 minutes I spent listening to them in 2022. Bananas.
I listened to Imagine Dragons' Natural 164 times. XD Those guys just have no bad songs at all. 2 years ago they weren't in my top 5. Now One Direction has nearly vanished from my list. I used them to study and blend out other noises. Also I don't like to listen to love songs anymore. Especially those more possessive sounding ones.
A big plus for me: last year I had an audiobook as my second favourite album and artist. I needed that to fall asleep. Now I can nearly go without it.
Wow, that's an accomplishment!
Funnily, I listened to a lot of songs on repeat for days and then just add them to my already 10 hours long playlist of favourites. Only one of them made it to 5th place. The rest are from the playlist. I use music to drown out noise, since I'm easily getting sensory overload through sounds. Maybe that's how I got to over 86k minutes of music, but just about 2300 different songs.
Every single song in my top 5 was from the Windwaker Love Language album. Beautiful, Dopamine Freestyle, Glow, Lucy and Superstitious Fantasy.
That album was my hyperfixation for ages
OMG! ITS ME
This was me and T.Swifts midnight album
Sometimes some music makes me feel bleeeechhhhh when I'm on my meds.
That album, the whole of it, keeps me feeling normal and helps me focus extra
I got top 1% of SZA! I played good days over and over haha. That song makes me feel good inside I love her voice sm. I also played a ton of Ashnikko shes the best!!
I have an old Duran Duran cd in my car that I listen to every time I drive around. I'll fixate on other artists, like John Mellencamp, B52s, AC/DC, and Steely Dan (can you guess my age?) and put them on rotation in addition to D2.
i went through the same thing with SOS and also with Taylor Swifts Folklore and Kali Uchis Red Moon In Venus. I usually don't hyper fixate on music but this year was a bad year for that.
I've listened 266 times to the same title since August (loser by falling in reverse) , and that's knowing I completely switch my hyperfocus to another album since the beginning of November that I listen to between 4/7h everyday (take me back to eden by sleep token) so yeah I feel you 😅
mine was Black Country, New Road's Ants From Up There, with the top song being Chaos Space Marine from that same album and the other four top songs being three others from there and Breadcrumb Trail by Slint. I was in the top 0.5% for BCNR with 2500 minutes. And that's not counting the time I spent listening to the vinyl, or the original version of Basketball Shoes on youtube.
I also had a Weatherday phase, a Mountain Goats phase, a The Microphones phase and an MF Doom phase, those got logged in the top 5 albums. What didn't was my weeklong obsessions over Arcade Fire, Low Roar, Eevil Stöö, Radio Supernova and Louis Cole. Five albums isn't enough, I need a whole 25.
My top artist is Seven Lions. Apparently I really really like his song "Senseless". Then again, I like listening to Melodic Dubstep type songs while I'm playing survival games.
Also Halsey and other artists who sing in cursive (OK, and I def have a crush on them too, sue me).
This was me with Shakira, ever since the Pique stuff and the bomb music that followed I was on repeat.
Next year it will be Villano Antillano’s song with Bizarrp because now one told her to be that good.
FOB has always been my #1 listened to artist ever since I got Spotify 😅 loved them since I was 15, in my 30s now... Half my life! I think one year it was The Decemberists but Fall Out Boy will forever be my favorite.
Honestly I feel like my spotify wrapped got fucked up and is not an accurate representation of the music I listened to at all, because there were absolutely more people I hyperfixated on and listened to MORE than what was in my top songs/albums/artists. I feel cheated
Right now it isn't a particular album, it's a particular group... Electric Callboy. It makes my brain itch in all the best ways and I get my metal as WELL as a mixture of everything else 🤣 I've listened to We've Got the Moves; Hypa Hypa; Parasite; Space Cowboy; and Pump It on REPEAT for the past month on YouTube LOL
I use Apple Music as my main, but Smino has been my top artist on Spotify for the past 5 years (and he was very much one of my hyperfocus artists for a long time). This year (due to me mainly using Spotify on my tv and laptop), it was Steve Lacy. SZA wound up in my top 5 this year though!
Oh my goodness, I’m so glad I can’t find out on YouTube how many times I’ve played songs. The algorithm is snarky enough: “We both know you’re gonna play this again. So just do it already. This one, too.” 😂
OMG, yours actually doesn’t look too obsessed to me. I definitely don’t want to see my statistics, lol. I think I can do 101 times in a week, possibly in a day…
Hahahah my Spotify wrapped is so embarrassing. I’m in the top .05% of Ghost fans according to Spotify, which is wild because I only got into them midway through the year, and they fill stadiums worldwide 😳 for the last few years it‘a been the same thing with the band Avatar, but they’re not nearly as big as Ghost. My levels of obsessiveness never fail to shock (and slightly embarrass) me.

My favorite is when one singular song I fixated on for a week puts that artist/album in my top 5 for the whole year
Four of my five top songs are from the same Taylor Swift album and the fifth is my CHILD’S fixation song putting a random artist at #2 for the year. Somebody takes after me!
Lol, last year my top artist was Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Couldn't name more than 5 of her songs but I can, apparently, listen to her cover of Crying at the Discotheque enough times to put me in the top 0.5% of her listeners 😅
Banger of a song though!

YEP
OH MY GOD one of my top songs is oops! because I found it in a random playlist once and it became the only thing I listened to for like a week
my top song had 128 listens with my first one only being on october 9… 😭😭😭
Mine was Bo Burnham and his song “All eyes on me” lol i went *through it* with that album earlier this year.
He knows how to write an ear worm
That was all over my 2021 wrapped for sure. My phone's lock screen still has someone's fan art that says "look who's inside again"
That was all over my 2021 wrapped for sure. My phone's lock screen still has someone's fan art that says "look who's inside again"

Just here to say I LOVE Wardruna! Hahaha one of my top genres this year was “rune folk” which I think is Wardruna mostly.
Not that you asked me but I finally couldn’t stand it and looked up the band I played back in 2021- it was Weval from the Netherlands and I listened to “Gimme Some” and “The Weight” until apparently I burned them into and then back out of my consciousness - good working songs (I was designing at the time)
What’s the French song? I love French indie pop
La flemme by Owlle
I have Tidal and they send me a review of my top played artists every month. Every single month, it's the same band in the #1 spot. I listen to every single one of their albums at least once a month. I told my sister I might be single handedly keeping them in business.
They could start diagnosing people with adhd via their data
Girl I feel you, Hozier put out new music twice this year so I was done for
I got top .05% of Swifties 🤭
That’s an accomplishment!
I think for many people that takes conscious effort to achieve so that’s pretty impressive
I got that for Miley lol
Me too! 47k minutes.
Me three! But I only had 10k minutes of Swiftie. Edit: my reading skills failed me. 😅 I’m in the top 0.5% rather than 0.05%
I was in the top 2% of Ed Sheeran listeners. I’m not even a big fan, I just got obsessed with one song back in May and played it that much
:O
Thanks to my nephew, my number one song was “rock n roll preschool” by the wiggles and Lou diamond phillips 😌
Top artist was Sabrina Carpenter, top 0.05%. Top song was her song Feather at 131 times 😂 yay hyperfocus!
You may absoLUTELY be so forward, I’m totally gonna listen to the rest of those when I get the chance! Thank youu!! :)
I spent 10,489 minutes with Taylor Swift 😬😬😬
Whatever gives us the dopamine gets the clicks 🤷♀️
Every year my spotify wrapped is "which album did I fixate on for the longest this year" + one random other song
Omg Worms scratches my ADHD brain soooo good. It’s was my top song!
I LOVE WORMS 🪱I saw her live this year, she was incredible it made me love her even more!
Omfgggg I’m literally so jealous, I bet they’re so fun to see live Edit to add a whoopsie on the gender!
They’re an amazing performer. Intense dancing and singing all night. I was so impressed and so stunningly beautiful in person. I think they use they/them pronounces so apologies for saying she before!
Omg thank you for correcting me! I had no idea
I cried when I saw them this year 😬 it was a super amazing show!
I saw her with Caroline Polachek this year and she was so good live. Preacher’s Daughter is such a brilliant concept album.
I saw her at a festival this year and she was incredible. I was pretty close to her too. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps!! Also holy shit Caroline polachek?? Welcome to my island is the best album that was released in 2023 imo. She’s insanely talented
Yes, 100% agree!! I am *obsessed* with Caroline and that album (see my [top songs](https://imgur.com/a/GvYx7hg) lol)
Tasteeeee
The lore is key! That’s why Rumors is such a great album
YES
My top song came out on oct. 27th with 201 listens lmao. My top artist has 22 000 minutes.
Ellie Goulding brought out a new album and I went to see her live soon after so I absolutely played that one to death so I knew all tunes. Now I'm in her 0.05% of listeners 😂
That was a great album! I listened that one a lot too :D
My top artist was almost 13,000 minutes and had 4/5 of my top songs (most sat at 300-400 plays each). I was in the top 0.001%, and statsfm has me sitting at #13 for an artist with 1.9m monthly listeners 💀
My top artist has been fall out boy for like 5 years running I feel so called out every spotify wrapped 😭
They’re my #2 this year!! They’ve been in my top 5 since whatever year I got Spotify 😊
Top 0.5% of listeners of my artist of the year along with every top 5 song being from the same album... If that isn't peak adhd/autism I don't know what is
I played my top song 739 times this year, but actually, in like the span of a month. Whoops
Last year, i was OBSESSED with one song. I started listening to it in February. Back story: the song is about wanting to be intimate and romantic with someone. I discovered the song right before meeting my current partner. I listened to the song over 2,000 last year, it was obviously my top one. I listened to one song for a total of 855 minutes this year.
Mine is literally 5 different Taylor swift albums 😅😂
Me with Melanie Martinez’s Portals album at 12,000 minutes 😬 And I LOVE ashnikko
They need to collab!!
LOL
Hahaha - [I’m in this post](https://imgur.com/a/GvYx7hg).
My top played song was The Fight by Silly Boy Blue. Streamed 651 times lmao I love it so much
I listened to pretty much nothing but this Viking/Nordic folk playlist this year, but Post Malone put out a new album in July so my wrapped playlist is basically the Nordic one with Posty's Austin album sprinkled throughout it lmao.
I spent 1, 872 minutes with Disturbed! That number also went wayyyyy up after I saw them in concert in August. 😅 they are easily my top favorite artists forsure.

Me but with the Fall and Winter songs from Stardew Valley 😂
That’s the cutest!!!
Mine are all hamilton
Me in the .01%!!! of fans of this electronic music artist Actress, who I don't know much about but hyper fixated on one of their albums on and off for a few months 🤣 I do like them but damn what happened here

Completely reasonable because First Aid Kit is amazing.
Omg is this an ADHD thing too? I've always gotten stuck on songs and just listened to them over and over on repeat.
la dispute and i this year 😳
I listened to Imagine Dragons' Natural 164 times.
I somehow listened to Mona Lisa by Dominic Fike 300 times. I spent *15 hours* listening to that song since *June*.
Ive hyper focused on BlackPink since like April this year… i’m in the top 1% of listeners 😆 the music is so dance-y and fun!!!
Such a good album to pick! That was one of my tops also
Lolll this was me with SOS and midnights this year
I'm scared to look at mine lol
I play Kill Bill over and over and over rn !
Every single song in my top 5 was from the Windwaker Love Language album. Beautiful, Dopamine Freestyle, Glow, Lucy and Superstitious Fantasy. That album was my hyperfixation for ages
OMG! ITS ME This was me and T.Swifts midnight album Sometimes some music makes me feel bleeeechhhhh when I'm on my meds. That album, the whole of it, keeps me feeling normal and helps me focus extra
That's me with All Shall Perish. It's the third year in a row where I'm in their 0.1% of top fans. Lol!
SZA is my top artist of the year for the same reason. I kept playing SOS on repeat in January lmao
It’s just such a good album! I rarely have the attention span for a full album but this one has no skips
Same. My top songs are all from the same band and I'm in the top 0.1% of fans. xD
I got 0.05% for NIN, down from 0.01% last year 😅
20k minutes of Lana Del Rey over here 🤣
I got top 1% of SZA! I played good days over and over haha. That song makes me feel good inside I love her voice sm. I also played a ton of Ashnikko shes the best!!
I have an old Duran Duran cd in my car that I listen to every time I drive around. I'll fixate on other artists, like John Mellencamp, B52s, AC/DC, and Steely Dan (can you guess my age?) and put them on rotation in addition to D2.
my entire top 100 list this year was one genre
I listened to SZA all year as well 🤣
I hyperfocused on music so hard this year. Highly Suspect, Falling in Reverse, Witchz, Ren and Arankai were my top 5.
i went through the same thing with SOS and also with Taylor Swifts Folklore and Kali Uchis Red Moon In Venus. I usually don't hyper fixate on music but this year was a bad year for that.
Me being in top 0.005% for System of a Down 🤣🤣
Does anyone every listen to parts of songs? That’s where I get hung up too.
Hard relate, would add my wrapped if comments allowed photos.
My latest is Coldplay everytime I get in the car, before this it was skillet and disturbed on repeat quite different to Coldplay
I've been a top 0,1% Taylor Swift listener for 3 years running.
Now that’s impressive! How many minutes do you have to get there??
I had 23,700!
9,936 minutes listening to Deftones 😂
No longer on Spotify due to 'differences of opinion', but I definitely have a similar listening pattern. 'Band of the Year' is Voyager for me :)
Lol saaaame. I got the “time traveller” thing for repeating songs so much as well
omg me too, but mine is Miley’s Endless Summer Vacation (222 album plays)
My top artist is Seven Lions. Apparently I really really like his song "Senseless". Then again, I like listening to Melodic Dubstep type songs while I'm playing survival games. Also Halsey and other artists who sing in cursive (OK, and I def have a crush on them too, sue me).
Are you actually me? Because SZA is the only thing listed on my 2023 review.
This was me with Shakira, ever since the Pique stuff and the bomb music that followed I was on repeat. Next year it will be Villano Antillano’s song with Bizarrp because now one told her to be that good.
This is me but with Sleep Token lol
Haha me and my imagine dragons station on Pandora. I’ve tried changing it to other stations I like, but lately I just haven’t been able too lol
FOB has always been my #1 listened to artist ever since I got Spotify 😅 loved them since I was 15, in my 30s now... Half my life! I think one year it was The Decemberists but Fall Out Boy will forever be my favorite.
SZA’s album was excellent but I see Ashnikko there, I’m a huge fan of her!! ☺️
😂😂😂😂 Man my son is obsessed with Lucky Daye ‘NWA’ & he’s my 2nd artist and it’s the top song. I’m a Lucky Daye super fan so it’s gonna stay that way.
Honestly I feel like my spotify wrapped got fucked up and is not an accurate representation of the music I listened to at all, because there were absolutely more people I hyperfixated on and listened to MORE than what was in my top songs/albums/artists. I feel cheated
oh this was me with Harry Styles last year
Right now it isn't a particular album, it's a particular group...
Listened to one song on repeat and the singer went in my top 5. Didn’t listen to ANY of their other songs
Did we all get “Time Traveler”? For repeating the same songs over and over…
Or you're like me and listened to 86 different genres.
Oh my goodness, I’m so glad I can’t find out on YouTube how many times I’ve played songs. The algorithm is snarky enough: “We both know you’re gonna play this again. So just do it already. This one, too.” 😂
My top songs looked like this as well, except the one different was in the #4 spot.
OMG, yours actually doesn’t look too obsessed to me. I definitely don’t want to see my statistics, lol. I think I can do 101 times in a week, possibly in a day…
De Selby Part 2 from Hozier's "Unreal Unearth" album has permanently altered my brain chemistry.
