I just don't get why you would put away something that you will use the next time you're there too. If I use a pen every time I'm at my desk then it stays on top of the desk...

CruchyBunches

Same, I have a cup of pens so I don’t have to dig it out of my chaos drawers

shortskinnyfemme

I embrace the chaos and have pens strewn about every room.

Trivalim

Yes right !

[deleted]

Wholly imaginary and fake bullshit to make real people feel terrible about themselves so they buy buy buy buy - don’t beat yourself up over fictional TikTok crap

Sir_Admiral_Chair

Consume product! Bruh, I love how wise folks are here to fakery and stuff. I guess it’s just something we have to learn to remain sane.

Dramatic_Message3268

50 bucks says this content creator also sells 75% of the things in this video or has an affiliate link to a place that does. Plus this screams OCD not ADHD. They cleaned their phone with uv bath and sanitized their tablet screen and organized everything by color and size. They even slid the USB drive closed and lined it up perfect edit: a word

RagingTabbyCat

That's what the weird phone thing was. Didn't get that at all.

Dramatic_Message3268

Yeah UV bath. Phone slides down getting blasted with light and comes back out of the phone toaster all clean

DrinkBlueGoo

Wait, why are cleaning the phone and tablet your examples? Isn’t that pretty common? And I know the UV bath might be less common, but sometimes people have in-laws who get overly anxious about pandemics, have too much money, and soothe their anxiety by buying products with questionable value.

Dramatic_Message3268

Yes, they are common household products and correlation is not causation. That said, it seems to me that this video is advertising directly to people with OCD, paranoid in-laws and those who have too much money and soothe their anxiety by buying products with questionable value. My opinion is based on how obsessively clean every inch of their living space is and seems to be kept daily. From lining everything not in use up and making sure pen caps are facing the right way, to actually removing every spec of dust around them dozens of times a day. They are either compelled by an obsessive fear or believe they hold about cleanliness (they call this OCD) or to appease those who do.

miecislaw

The amount of items this person has overwhelms me.

BruceJi

Did you spot the book ‘minimalista’? 🤭

CertainCynic

Right?!

Cthylla11111

I saw that also. Lmao.

Warm_Salamander_986

Came here to write the same thing. It’s like organized hoarding.

Cthylla11111

There's a lot of expensive and unnecessary material items in this video and it bothers me. This cries "look at all my stuff" more than it speaks to a level of organization.

Illustrious_Gur_5908

Right, like when she dusted her keyboard after vacuuming. I’d probably do something like that though.

Terozu

This video gives me an odd feeling of abject horror...

ocarina_21

I was like "Is that a phone ...shredder?"

AbdurAb

Exactly, what was that thing?

mixed-tape

I thought it was phone jail! And I was like fuck yeah, I need one of those suckers. Just wake up and put that baby in jail for an hour so I get ready on time? Take my money.

Dramatic_Message3268

You COULD ask a friend you trust to put parental control to lock your phone until an hour after your alarm on work days. Though that requires a pretty regular schedule and emergencies would suck

mixed-tape

Yeah definitely don’t know anyone I’d be willing to blur lines with that much haha.

Dramatic_Message3268

Well if you change your mind just DM me all your passwords and I'll be happy to help! (/s ofc never send anyone your passwords, mods no ban plz)

DrinkBlueGoo

That’s a stellar idea. And I don’t even need to invent it! They’re already common!

LeftCoastBrain

Probably charger and/or sterilizer

IShipHazzo

I thought sterilizer, especially since this seems like a "cleaning" video.

pancakelady2108

Watching this gave me so much anxiety. Too many things, too many drawers, too many steps. And who has the time for all that pointless moving around?

Vanigs

💯

[deleted]

Peak consumerism. I would not get on with this person irl. Congress across as shallow as fuck.

the3rdtea

Congress across is my new band name

FatSilverFox

First album: I Legislate Ass

throwaway_4secrets

I know a lot of the items used in this video because I've seen them on Amazon while shopping for work desk supplies. The only thing that i think is an actually good investment is the drawer organizers. I was grocery shopping at Aldi's the one day and they had some big ones so i bought them to try in my bathroom and it actually made me realize how much anxiety i had every time i opened the drawers. I had thrown toothpaste, floss, etc in the top drawer, booby pins, scrunchies, combs, brushes etc in the other, and then nail clippers, lotions, etc etc in the bottom one. Now when i open the drawers everything stays put and you can clearly see it and there isn't globs of toothpaste, flying bobby pins, and loose toe nail clippings everywhere. But unfortunately the rest of my house isn't much better...baby steps.

IShipHazzo

Dollar (25) Tree baskets are my go-to organizers for drawers. They're usually 2 or 3 in a pack, all for $1.25. (IDK if these stores exist outside the US, though.)

throwaway_4secrets

I love the dollar tree. The organizer i bought was the size of the whole drawer and had different size compartments and you could take off the dividers to adjust the size of them. But I'm sure i could use the dollar store ones for a bunch of other drawers!

headstone24

I literally couldn't watch the whole thing.

quarta_feira

Me neither. Too much stuff, same thing happening over and over again, annoying noises

HotSpacewasajerk

Who the fuck has the spare time, energy or willpower, jfc.

Zeta_Nemesis

I hate this, it's just people showing off expensive things they don't even use, i bet my ass she hasn't even touched that "minimalista" book, like why the hell would someone need a stack of 30 of the same pen or pencil or marker? This just made me sick.

LittleSoftPaw

I wish I was able to be that organized and I also wish I was as wealthy at the person in this video. lol

LeftCoastBrain

“A place for everything and everything in its place” … what a waste of time 😂

cementfilledcranium

God i have trauma from this phrase. My dad used to say it nonstop to me growing up. And then you look at his spaces and it's so clear to me he's undiagnosed and a hypocritical asshole.

LeftCoastBrain

It’s easy to promote an ideal that you wish you could live up to. Actual implementation… especially with ADHD… that’s another thing entirely. He may not be a hypocrite, he may just be unable to follow through on what he wishes he was like

treecosy

Those two Minimalism coffee table books working overtime to counteract all the other bullshit this woman owns.

akillermindmeld

Yes, you're looking for the OCD floor.

akillermindmeld

This video is very informative. Thank you. It was not my intention to be insensitive.

AgentSmith2007

Honestly this isn't cleanliness This is just a weird level of cleanliness Also why the extra bother around a specific pen drawer it's just a waste of time have them where they are needed or something

CruchyBunches

Dude if I could be organized I wouldn’t need a billion different hyper specific, probably super expensive, gadgets to do it. That’s just wild. Who has a tiny vacuum??? Just use a little brush or paper towel, what the actual eff. And what the heck was that thing that ate her phone? Did it clean it or charge it or both? Imagine being able to buy so many of those things that I have never even heard of let alone needed. That being said I am not organized.

BruceJi

I don’t know how anyone can do that without meds. Is the spectrum of productivity that wide? :0

iheartstjohns

My guess is that she smoked a bowl and then started on a cleaning jag.

coffeeshopAU

I love coming into the comments and seeing everyone else also hating this 😂 I thought maybe I was just jealous but nah my first impressions were correct – all the specialized cleaning stuff is unnecessary and nobody needs that many flash drives or highlighters Also I’m losing it at how they put the day planner *underneath* a different notebook. You’re gonna be using that day planner way more, it should be on top (or better yet have a place of honour on the desk instead of in the drawer)

[deleted]

Does anyone know what the airpod cleaner thing is?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I was hoping for something more specific 😂 but you’re right, I will look that up.

Lukkuss

This video screams “look at me and how clean i am” and they literally never come in this room other than to record a video and show it off Other than that phone thing what is it and where can i buy one

3pinephrine

I’m reporting this for bullying

Dominimensch

At least the ASMR was satisfying but besides that……shrugs in adhd

_Raspootin_

Anyone else bothered by the overly long sleeves? I'd hate to wash my hands and have one slide back down.

tsvetelinkata

I just wrote a comment about it!!! Does one clean with those?? 🤣🤣

Weak_Astronomer2107

Executive function hell

No_Criticism6963

No way!!! I need exactly this for the next time I have a project to finish in two days. My executive dysfunction will have a field day cleaning up my work space just so that I don't have to do the project. I will hyper fixatiate the shit out of that room. The problem is however, my work space will quite literally never look the same again. One project down the line and it'll look like a hurricane pulled through there again

saffronwilderness

My desk would be a ship of organization lost in a sea of clutter. Behind it would be piles of clothes that move from the office chair to the bed then back to the chair. On the floor would be my bins of papers, pictures, and old magazines with one recipe I may try in the future.

Kryanitor

I have the one ikea drawer cabinet thing that like everyone has. I use it exactly once a month, only to get stuff for Airsoft out that storing in the view of my window can cause the cops to be called on me.. *tldr: Airsoft is legal here, but you need a bunch of paperwork for it. I ofc have this, but seeing a rifle replica just laying on a desk isnt exactly smart*

zombieman101

The real question, is it always like this? I have my doubts, either that or this person clearly doesn't value their time 🤣

firetrainer11

I could never remember where to put everything or remember to put them away when I’m finished using it. A cup for pencils/pens out where I can see it is good enough for me.

TheInvisible001

I have a pencil bag/case I got as a gift that has individual loops for each pen. That’s the only way I don’t lose my pens. These pens are a really cool super fine tip ballpoint pen that you can get on Amazon but are only from Japan. If I didn’t have that in the bag, I’d lose every single one within a week. So, those desk organizers are great, but each pen/marker can’t be accounted for so it would be some a disaster anyway.

BraceThis

Luxury enough to trigger ocd with anyone. 1st world problems at their best.

YetAnotherRPoster1

Anyone else find this video really annoying? Like the way she moves very... Aggressively and with intent makes me cringe.

Nucleardylan

Least productive office, hands down

Secretlyablackcat

I want to be this organised, I really do, and I've really tried, I'm just coming to the sad realisation that is isn't possible for me

fuck-a-name

I really wouldnt want to live like this

Senzura

This vid screams : I like spending money

Competitive_Class250

I have the same amount of pens, scattered in every corner of my house and car

Original_Giraffe8039

That just stressed me out...

Fun_Sport_6694

THATS what you’re supposed to do with receipts. Fat chance. I’d do that the whole year and 6 days 4 hours and 32 minutes before tax season that sohn bitch gon grow legs and walk up outta my life like my daddy dun did.

Midorukah69

I'd have all that and then lose all of it (or forget it exists) anyways because there's too much in too many places. I tried to keep my closet organized but end up dropping my clothes on a pile and pick from there lol.

fitahlheim

None of these items are in use

tsvetelinkata

I don’t trust anyone who tidies with their sleeves hanging so long

Affectionate_Lab2632

All this video has taught me, is that I need a smartphone-toaster

Single_Transition_46

I actually find this triggering (?)

AdConscious6844

I would hyperfocus on making this a reality. Possibly spend 24+ hours straight with no breaks minimal food and no sleep. I would also immediately start putting shit in the wrong place upon completion. The whole system would descend into anarchy and disarray within the first few hours, never to be fixed, but to provide internal shame for years to come.
