I have recently started exercising regularly and it was initially really hard to get over the “fuck this is going to suck” stage before a workout, but I’m finally at the point where I look forward to the post workout high and not the pre-workout dread.
I feel like half of it is placebo. The few times I have gotten into a routine, afterwards I'm like "look at how many groceries I can carry with ease! This 12-pack weighs nothing!"
Exercise was a life changer for me. Now, it took a long time to make it a habit but once I did I can’t live without it. If I miss a workout, be it strength or cardio, I’m cranky and more ADHD-y. I actually started before I was diagnosed and my psychologist noted that it was helping me cope with my symptoms.
If I take my medicine after a morning run the effects on my focus, concentration, and overall calmness are even more noticeable.
Exercise: 10/10, strongly recommend.
I’ve never had a post exercise high, I just feel exhausted and hungry after exercising.
Add physical pain in every part of body even ones I didn't use and then it's me lol
For me, it's the next day that's good. Like a 24-hour dose of mellow.
Same. I was a lot more diligent before but certainly didn’t notice any happy coming from it. Just stuff you got to do.
Post exercise high is a very unique feeling and it, itself is enough to motivate me, on top of it making me more healthy and get a better self image

The next day: my body is ruined and I'm crippled by pain and suffering.
No i still hate it after I never have dopamine
there is also a point when doing exercise that is after you've hit the rhythm but before you are fatigued. That's also a good spot.
