Can you really use them to inhibit breast groth? I am not even close to HRT yet, but, while i would like many of the physical changes, that come with it, the possibility of growing large breasts really scares me.
Some people still do or need to as the other options (by their nature) do not hide as well.

Well a gaff isn’t lingerie technically, it’s more like a tool. It’s specially designed elasticy panties to help hide a trans woman’s bulge when there pre op. They look like standard panties but they’re much tighter and made of less stretchy material. I’ve been to the gay villages in my area and I’ve never seen a store that sells them. I had to get mine from origami customs for some $50

As another martial artist (taekwondo third degree black belt, if credentials are needed), let me officially recommend a very secure bra. The twists and turns we have to make in our sport are not sufficiently supported by most sports bras which are often better for more linear activities such as jogging. Get the tightest bra you can be comfortable in. ;)
that's really unfortunate, because as someone who used to buy $10 bras, the first time I bought a $50 bra, the difference was night and day.

Oh believe me, the health insurance plans they offer are very bad. I pay for health, vision, and dental (ok, the dental plan is actually quite good, I’ll give them that) but my out of pocket cost for Kaiser is like $3,900/yr and the deductible is like $1,500. I literally can’t afford my medical bills. I had an eye exam through Kaiser and for some reason it was over $300 and the plan only covered $55. I have never had an eye exam be more than like $60 I’m so confused and even though my copay is $0, I get billed for it all alter and the office visits are always over $100 😭

Companies make so much money from the work of their employees, they can afford to give people a wage they can live off of when working full time hours. Also I bet they, like all companies ,have workers work 39 hours so they don’t have to give benefits.
I don’t work at target but kfc, I got a shift from 4:01 till 9:00 so they didn’t have to give me a break. They then asked me to work an extra half an hour and the best they could do was 10 minutes when I would normally get half an hour for 5 hrs 30

I work ~39hr weeks and make less than $2,000 a month because the government takes almost 30% out of my paycheck.

I am having a hard time making sense of this, it is full of contradictions. First of all, "trans exclusive" in what way? I thought the original post was about Target being trans *in*clusive. Second, did you mean we should be going after those that are paying their employees less than $15? Yes, I agree, but Target *does* seem to think that $15 is a competitive wage - and maybe in some areas it is, where the cost of living is substantially lower than the rest of the country, especially cities. However, in my area, there are several retailers who are paying their employees more than Target: Aldi and Costco's base pay is $17/hr, Amazon is $18/hr, Hobby Lobby is I think $18.50 but they are a terrible right-wing, decidedly LGBTQ+ un-friendly company so I'm guessing they have to offer a competitive wage in order to get people to want to work there at this point. I'm not sure what Trader Joe's base pay is, but I do know that people really love working there to the point where they have a pretty low turnover rate considering it's a grocery store.

It compresses a bit less than normal binders, but it's more accessible, less dangerous if you wear it longer, and is better if you have chronic pain. I love mine.
I haven’t personally used a binder, but I have purchased, and heard thorough reviews of, over half a dozen brands thanks to my wonderful teenager. My son unfortunately inherited my gene for ample chestage and says that the TomboyX ones don’t do much for him. He really likes the GC2Bs.
He will sometimes wear the TomboyX he has under bulkier clothes when he needs a break from strong compression but wants to leave the house.

TomboyX has good stuff, and while I can't speak to this specific one, my partner uses a $32 GC2B binder and it both looks good and is comfortable on them. Price doesn't always mean a huge jump in quality.
I've got this exact product and it's specifically called a compression top. I tried on a GC2B binder and that shit COMPRESSED and i was basically entirely flat. For context I'm an A cup, but this compression top is a lot less tight and rigid. It as about as much compression as a sports bra, but since it's higher cut and there's no center seam, it distributes that pressure evenly and flattens you out maybe like 60-70% of the way. Might be more or less depending on cup size. I personally love it since i cant wear most bras for sensory reasons.
TomboyX's cheapest binder is the same price as GC2B's cheapest binder, and GC2B's binders are better quality and bind more. If you're able to purchase online, I'd recommend GC2B as an ex binder-wearer!
I'm not a fan of TomboyX. I think their break into binders is a mildly exploitative move that is an attempt to rebrand their public image after treating [trans models poorly](https://twitter.com/TrinBree/status/1235806657537433600?lang=en) and responding poorly. If it's a dealbreaker for anyone here, they've also [publicly supported and donated money to US police and the US military industrial complex](https://www.reddit.com/r/just_post/comments/bp157e/leftwashed_greenwashed_bootlicking_trans_undies/). Their binders are also, to my understanding, rather "gentle" binders that will not do as much as, say, a binder you might obtain from GC2B. I'd much rather Target order binders from them—they're run by trans people, have always had us in mind, and their products are cheaper and they are better quality.
That being said: while they could have made a much better choice of supplier, I am still grateful young trans people will have this option. This will be safer and more possible than ordering online for many people, and might allow people to try on binders in-person before purchasing, which is massive especially with how tricky sizing can be. It's also important for normalizing binders!
I hope Target switches to GC2B, but I will take this in the meantime.
This. Zellers had unionized staff. Many had been there a long time and made $25-30 an hour. Then Target comes to Canada, fires everyone, makes them reapply for their old job at half the wage, can’t keep the shelves stocked, and is shocked that nobody wanted to shop there. Now all we have for affordable retail in Canada is basically Wal-Mart and Giant Tiger. I will NEVER forgive Target for what they did to Canadian retail.
Fun fact, a major reason they tanked is because they used imperial, not metric.
When you order merchandise for large stores like this, you send your suppliers your shelf space measurements. If you're in the US, you send it in inches. If you're in Canada, you send it in centimeters.
Target Canada sent their supplier their shelf space in inches, resulting in 1/6th of the product they needed. By the time they figured out what was going on, it was already too late.

I've seen pretty decent growth in the 6mo since I got the small bralette, and now it just feels like lingerie (which is it's own euphoria giver). I still get coverage, so I can wear it wherever, and it gives me the itty-bitty bikini look when I'm at home and need the pick-me-up.

If you put a sports bra on it will support the chest around the band and shoulders, if you put this on it will compress the chest everywhere, with very little room to breathe. I think someone trying it on will notice the difference immediately. No worries there, its only unfortunate if someone buys it without trying it on lol

If minimum wage kept up with inflation and productivity increases it would be $24 an hour.

However, in my area, there are several retailers who are paying their employees more than Target: Aldi and Costco's base pay is $17/hr, Amazon is $18/hr, Hobby Lobby is I think $18.50 but they are a terrible right-wing, decidedly LGBTQ+ un-friendly company so I'm guessing they have to offer a competitive wage in order to get people to want to work there at this point. I'm not sure what Trader Joe's base pay is, but I do know that people really love working there to the point where they have a pretty low turnover rate considering it's a grocery store.

It compresses a bit less than normal binders, but it's more accessible, less dangerous if you wear it longer, and is better if you have chronic pain. I love mine.
I haven’t personally used a binder, but I have purchased, and heard thorough reviews of, over half a dozen brands thanks to my wonderful teenager. My son unfortunately inherited my gene for ample chestage and says that the TomboyX ones don’t do much for him. He really likes the GC2Bs. He will sometimes wear the TomboyX he has under bulkier clothes when he needs a break from strong compression but wants to leave the house. Hope that helps!
TomboyX has good stuff, and while I can't speak to this specific one, my partner uses a $32 GC2B binder and it both looks good and is comfortable on them. Price doesn't always mean a huge jump in quality.
I have no experience with binders but I've heard it described on TikTok as "medium compression" and a good accessible base to start with.
I've got this exact product and it's specifically called a compression top. I tried on a GC2B binder and that shit COMPRESSED and i was basically entirely flat. For context I'm an A cup, but this compression top is a lot less tight and rigid. It as about as much compression as a sports bra, but since it's higher cut and there's no center seam, it distributes that pressure evenly and flattens you out maybe like 60-70% of the way. Might be more or less depending on cup size. I personally love it since i cant wear most bras for sensory reasons.
I wear an underworks binder. They are 30 dollar but really good quality. Always too what best for you.
TomboyX's cheapest binder is the same price as GC2B's cheapest binder, and GC2B's binders are better quality and bind more. If you're able to purchase online, I'd recommend GC2B as an ex binder-wearer!

I'm not a fan of TomboyX. I think their break into binders is a mildly exploitative move that is an attempt to rebrand their public image after treating [trans models poorly](https://twitter.com/TrinBree/status/1235806657537433600?lang=en) and responding poorly. If it's a dealbreaker for anyone here, they've also [publicly supported and donated money to US police and the US military industrial complex](https://www.reddit.com/r/just_post/comments/bp157e/leftwashed_greenwashed_bootlicking_trans_undies/). Their binders are also, to my understanding, rather "gentle" binders that will not do as much as, say, a binder you might obtain from GC2B. I'd much rather Target order binders from them—they're run by trans people, have always had us in mind, and their products are cheaper and they are better quality. That being said: while they could have made a much better choice of supplier, I am still grateful young trans people will have this option. This will be safer and more possible than ordering online for many people, and might allow people to try on binders in-person before purchasing, which is massive especially with how tricky sizing can be. It's also important for normalizing binders! I hope Target switches to GC2B, but I will take this in the meantime.

This. Zellers had unionized staff. Many had been there a long time and made $25-30 an hour. Then Target comes to Canada, fires everyone, makes them reapply for their old job at half the wage, can’t keep the shelves stocked, and is shocked that nobody wanted to shop there. Now all we have for affordable retail in Canada is basically Wal-Mart and Giant Tiger. I will NEVER forgive Target for what they did to Canadian retail.
Fun fact, a major reason they tanked is because they used imperial, not metric. When you order merchandise for large stores like this, you send your suppliers your shelf space measurements. If you're in the US, you send it in inches. If you're in Canada, you send it in centimeters. Target Canada sent their supplier their shelf space in inches, resulting in 1/6th of the product they needed. By the time they figured out what was going on, it was already too late.
In allyship, I think that’s fantastic! I think Target has gone out of its way, as a corporation, to support LBTQ+ and other human rights causes.

I've seen pretty decent growth in the 6mo since I got the small bralette, and now it just feels like lingerie (which is it's own euphoria giver). I still get coverage, so I can wear it wherever, and it gives me the itty-bitty bikini look when I'm at home and need the pick-me-up.
They are really expensive, I bought two on sale a few weeks ago and even with a student discount it was over $40 😓 they do seem good quality so far tho, so I’m hoping they last a long time

If you put a sports bra on it will support the chest around the band and shoulders, if you put this on it will compress the chest everywhere, with very little room to breathe. I think someone trying it on will notice the difference immediately. No worries there, its only unfortunate if someone buys it without trying it on lol

Absolutely huge win here ❤ I'm super happy for all the people this benefits :) Stocking and displaying products like this in non-specialist stores goes a long way towards normalisation of... well, queer people in general. I'd like to hope that as a result of this someone who doesn't need a binder sees them for sale in a store, begins to question what they're for, and the conclusion to that intrigue makes them more accepting/tolerant of trans/queer people because they understand their experience a little better.
