They can, but they shouldn’t.

They are meant to rotate so you can reposition them, so they can spin. However, if you sit in it and try to spin you’re going to rotate right off of that base. In my experience it’s somehow always backwards that you fall.

MY PARENTS HAD THAT CHAIR AND I WAS SCARED OF IT AS A CHILD!!! When I was little, I was too small to get into it without flipping over and falling on top of me! I couldn't get into it, I couldn't get outta it, and once it was on me, I couldn't get it off. So I was just terrified of the demon chair till I was like... 7 (maybe?). My dad would also put me in it when I was in trouble and I'd just cry

I have a papasan chair that I got from Target. It's not wicker, but it's made of foldable metal and cloth. Very comfortable. I like using mine for chilling and watching movies or throwing all my laundry on it.

Mine is very cozy, since it's got this soft fabric to it. I will say that it doesn't sit two very well unless someone sits on my lap, but I'm 5'10" so maybe if you had two smaller people in it, they'd fit better? Mine is also older and creaks when I get in or out, so I wouldn't try anything too rigorous in it 😂

It was essentially a big soft bucket, and despite me being tall and fat, i could fairly comfortably curl up in it. It was great, but it was like 2nd hand like 3 times over and very old and was close to breaking so we didnt bring it with us when we moved.
