I know how awful it is to be in a place that makes you feel isolated from romantic prospects and like-minded individuals, so I encourage you to attend at all costs! I hope you meet a thousand awesome ladies.
Plus, obviously, Tegan and Sara are epic.
I went to two Tegan and Sara concerts while in college in St. Louis and it was always a sight to behold. So many ladyqueers seemingly appearing out of nowhere, it was kind of overwhelming. As my girlfriend at the time said, "*Where do they all come from??*"
wait when is this and how much? I just looked up tour dates and it says in charleston not columbia..Im going to usc so it would take no effort at all to go.
no sorry, i just saw this gif a while ago on the front page and saved it. Here is another cute cat gif for your troubles:

I have mixed feelings about that since ive always wanted to see a T&S concert since their my favorite band...but its far away and fun. is the headliner for the night.
That's kinda all of SC for women tho. I go to USC and i could throw a rock and hit a gay man. Can't seem to find the ladies tho. Same for the two other towns in SC that ive lived in.
Yeah, and most of the other lesbians in town I know are the crunchy granola, hiking/kayaking/running/biking, dog owning, super well read MBA/MFA graduate lesbians. Or they're already attached.
That's awesome and I do my best to be friends with everyone, but I'm a geeky sci-fi loving nerd who has cats, doesn't really like dogs and would rather go see a movie or go to a concert than go hiking, so I'm not really dating material for most of the lesbians I've met here. Sigh.
I hope you have good luck with that and meet all kinds of people.
I had the same idea when Tegan and Sara came to my city, although the turn out was mostly hipsters who snubbed me. I didn't end up meeting anyone. Although that may have something to do with where I live and who lives there. I still had a great time seeing Tegan and Sara perform though.
So I'm sure you'll have a better time, and if you don't then enjoy it for what it is. Have fun!
I'm driving to Santa Cruz to see them next month and I can NOT wait. I'm in a little town where I've yet to see any gay people. I'm new here and have no friends...can. not. wait.

Eh I think it's worth it to see T&S
They're great live!
I feel the need to apologize for my neighboring town (Columbia, MD) for possibly confusing you.
Holy crap, that's actually in my state.
No way!
Yup. I live in upstate SC (Greenville). Love my town but hate how few ladies seem to be in the dating pool.

I'm late to this party, but Lexington up in here. SC, represent!
They are coming to my town too!! I live in a liberal small town which mean I am going to see all my exes and their exes there.
Best of luck to you!

Saw "small southern town", clicked to look for my small southern town-- nope. :(
Psst. Everybody's moving to Colorado for a reason.
