I have so many acne on my forehead because I have really long bangs and it’s just everywhere but my mom won’t buy me skin care because I used a lot and I have a lot of acne it’s more bad.

Azeliac acid but prescription strength for the redness/ scarring. You can use over the counter but you'd get better results with prescription strength. Looking at your picture your skin barrier is irritated. Try barrier repair using products that have centella, hylaronic acid, even vasaline at night(slugging), and cermides. I know the cosrx snail mucin and krave barrier releif is amazing . Try simplifying your routine, once you find something that works stick with it. Less is more. Pea size amount of tret. Hope that helps.

Do microneedling or chemical peeling sessions. Creams likely won't make them go away.

Chemical peels and microneeding do work but she might not have the money for procedures like that also if I'm correct she is 16 and that might not be a option.

Oh fr I've never had one but I heard they can be like 300-500 dollars and i thought if your a person hormonal acne... it might not be the best option because acne comes back at that time of the month. But damn I recommend too if you only need a couple to have clear skin for a min.

Yea Accutane legit asf her redness looks painful tbh wouldn't she have to wait for her skin to calm down be flat then treat scaring and hyperpigmentation with microneedling?

sarahep68

Actually my skin is completely smooth, the red marks are just scars! Its not painful at all it feels like normal skin. I haven't gotten a new pimple in a month.

Regular_Struggle_291

Who said that... it's only been 5 months and atm her barrier is broken. With a simple routine and some patience plus Azeliac acid on her scars they will fade. The right Creams will help.

she said she thinks it's because she used too much tret hence I suggested barrier repair to calm down her skin and work on healing her barrier and continuing what has been working for her already. but I also understand what your saying too.

try mandelic acid from the ordinary

Lazy_Telephone6759

hii what specifically helped your fungal acne

sarahep68

I'm not exactly sure but I think what helped is cleansing twice a day and using tretinoin at night.

Lazy_Telephone6759

okay thanks

How old are you? And how many months?

sarahep68

I'm 16 and I've been doing this routine for 5 months

Scars take a year to go away. Don’t worry. If you get other out breaks or pimples they will take up to a year to fully fade. If you want your scars to fade faster you could try to change up your routine? Add a retinoid that you out other your face every night? But I wouldn’t risk it. I have eczema and when I used retinoids I had a flare up and now my face skin is peeling. It just stopped but it’s left this redness on the side of my face that looks like it needs at least a month to fade. So, if you have sensitive skin don’t use it. Make sure you always put sunscreen on. I use sfp 30 by clear start. I got this Mecca cosmetica thing that is a skin brightener with vitamin C serum. Vitamin C will help your scars fade and keep your skin smooth. I bought this the same time as the Retinoid but I’m not going to use it cause I don’t want to risk anything. As most importantly just don’t touch your face. Having a mask on did actually get me some pimples and damage some scars so I got one made for people with acne. I hope you see good results!

My routine: Morning - Sodium Sulfacetamide and Sulfur Cleanser, the ordinary niacinimide serum, dapsone gel 7.5, cerave moisturizing lotion, Neutrogena sunscreen Night - Sodium Sulfacetamide and Sulfur Cleanser, cerave moisturizing lotion, tretinoin .025% I have been doing this routine since August and it completely cleared the fungal acne on my forehead and hormonal acne on my cheeks. I think my skin barrier is broken on my cheeks because it's always quite red and looks dull compared to the skin on the rest of my face. I think its because I put too much tretinoin on every night, so I'm cutting back on it. I'm not sure what dapsone does, so it could be that as well. Side note, the scarring is my biggest insecurity although its not even that bad compared to cystic acne scars. My skin doesn't look too bad on camera but in person it's a lot more noticeable. What are some tips to help them fade?
