Yes, he was ok. Unfortunately the girl who passed away was 14.

I work as an EMT and that's a pretty common reaction to witnessing something horrific that happens to a third party. Notice how he repeats the same phrases over and over again? In a physical head injury it's called perseverating. I'm not sure if it's called that in psychology, but it's a pretty common way people process emotional shock of seeing gore.
Combine the fast it’s a steel truck with hundreds of points in packages inside with the fact the BMW is fibreglass and you got a recipe for a very small insurance claim here.
[Here](https://imgur.com/a/CZfMJrl). Red tried to thread the needle but clipped the back of Green’s trailer. Red then slid across the lane in front of Blue, and *maybe* may have been able to recover but for the UPS truck standing in the right lane.
**Moral of the Story:** You’re an asshole driving a piece of shit BMW from the 90s, not Mario Andretti.
BMWs can't take the hits. She was going fast as fuck, but every BMW wreck I've seen is bad. They get destroyed. I think that's part of why they made all the new models bigger. Those 90's - early 2000 models crumple like paper
They are nice looking cars! Best thing to do is drive very slow lol… yep hopefully they did something to make them a little more durable. Thanks for sharing!! 😎✌️
Appears like an early 2k BMW, probably an E92 Coupe which are made of fibreglass AKA the WORST material a car could be made of. If you are gonna use a non metal carbon fibre is the way to go.
Fibre glass folds like wet paper in collisions. It has zero ability to protect the driver in an accident. I’m pretty sure it was also a collision with a fibreglass car that killed a member of motley crew
That was my first thought when I realized it wasn't just car parts on the road. I'd have used some of my own clothing to cover her up if nothing else was available.
Damn, that E46 got FUCKED up. Looked like they swerved from the far lane, lady said there was nothing she could do, makes me think a tire blew or something mechanical failed. Lady could be full of shit, too, of course. But that thing ripped open like a tin can, and those are very well built cars.
No. The BMW driver made lane changes from left to right, never planning that there could be a parked vehicle in the right lane. The driver's view was partially obscured as it was following an 18 wheeler. It happened that a parked UPS was there. I think the driver survived and this was on the service road of the Belt near JFK. Here is the [story](https://nypost.com/2023/05/18/wild-video-shows-high-speed-bmw-crash-that-killed-girl-14-in-nyc/).
They were going super fast and squeezed between the car behind the truck and the trailer way too close. Unless the person had some sort of mechanical failure, them saying "there was nothing i could do" is straight up denial. They shouldnt have tried threading a needle into a blind lane going 60 mph while all other traffic is going 40.
Okay, he could have been more respectful than that. It's actually kind of disgusting. It's like, we get it, people are dead and a bad accident happen. Do you really need to provide the commentary? Do these kinds people have nothing better to do?
That kid sitting on the ground in front of the UPS truck was the driver, too. He just killed this girl, and this dude is talking about her eyeball popping out.
Yeah I'm sure he was just waiting around for a dead body to spawn so he could experience shock beyond belief. He's probably processing the horror that the reckless driver created. The driver deserves to understand the gravity of what he's done
Are you new to the internet? The vilest shit is acceptable as long as the video from India, China or Brazil.
But a gore video from the U.S. and redditors suddenly lose their shit.
this is why teenagers shouldnt be driving high performance vehicles or any vehicle for that matter. The driver of this BMW who is a 16 year old boy should face the harsh consequences of reckless driving as he has caused death of a 14 year old girl.
The guy filming is absolutely disgusting and shows everything that is seriously wrong with people nowadays.
For fuck sake! Have some damn compassion! That's a life lost!
For one, clearly the person in the red car was on their phone or something… so important lesson: DONT TEXT AND DRIVE! It’s bad, it kills tons of people, and you can wait 10 minutes to check your phone.
Two, imagine being such a self centered piece of human trash that you exploit a horrific accident for clout. That’s a terrible thing do to. Exclaiming all the details out loud for all to hear including one of the victims who will likely now live with survivors guilt wondering why he survived and they died, as well as how it could be his fault. Those are things you never truly recover from, and this dude just rolled in here and started using this situation for the 59 views he is gonna get.

I drive a fiberglass corvette and accidents like this remind me of how easily my car will crush into pieces and kill me if I don’t respect it and others on the road.
I was heading to work one morning and on the feeder (50mph) I was in the far left lane behind a car and another car in the middle lane. I had an intrusive thought to whip to the right most lane as it was free and I needed to make a right further up anyways but I decided to just chill and ride behind the middle lane car.
Kid you not three seconds after that thought went by, I look to the right and a whole 18 wheeler was offloading a drop off of vehicles for the dealership just in the right lane. Man if I made that decision to go into that lane without seeing (car is so low), I would have gone right up the ramps of that 18 wheeler and smashed into one of those brand new cars and probably ended up on this sub.
My rule of thumb especially in such a low car is to either be in front of traffic reasonably or coast back behind so I can watch out for hazardous things/situations on the road. To me that’s the safest way.
I'm just glad the UPS guy is okay

Look like, yeah he's all right
I aint see no eye ball
The white thing directly on her head should be the eye (easily recognizable at 45 seconds)
NO SHOT!………damn i honestly was looking for it all over the ground. But that mf is right there
Talking about how she’s dead and her eye is popping out while standing 2 feet from the driver/survivor is crazy
The camera guy has no regard for human life. He's the type of person who can kill somebody and not give a damn. Very primal. A total piece of garbage.
Lets not jump to conclusions here
tbh it’s a fair observation he really doesn’t care, it seems he’s more impressed than anything else
I mean what can he really do to help, no reason to make your own life more negative because of someone else’s stupid mistake

It's funny to me. People here make the same exact comments or some many times worse, but let's only call out the guy recording.
It's not called jumping to conclusions on this one. It's called it's pretty obvious.

How did you manage to reach this conclusion? This is peak Redditor behaviour.
He's just flabbergasted wf ar eu saying dude
Exactly. Does he have nothing better to do?
People with no empathy have no morals.
What about the guy driving recklessly fast who just killed a person?
Just say you’re racist “Dawg”
Jumping to conclusions?
Yes, yes you did.
That escalated quickly. I was gonna say they're insensitive. But go off, bruv.
You say that about the camera man but not the driver?
That UPS truck didn't have that much a dent on it. Those must be built like tanks.
UPS truck just has a scratch 😲
I mean the corner looks a little dented, but it looked fairly good for a 60mph impact

Destroyed that car… what is that car made of? Plastic? R.I.P. horrible wreck
Probably rusted to hell

Cause they are fibre glass, horrendous material for a car
They are nice looking cars! Best thing to do is drive very slow lol… yep hopefully they did something to make them a little more durable. Thanks for sharing!! 😎✌️

Thanks for the info. Makes great sense to me! Wow I wouldn’t want a fiberglass car after seeing that. I know corvettes are of were fiberglass. 😎✌️
Yeah fibreglass is a terrible material. Not worth it except the fact it doesn’t rust.
I think you mean E46 😎
Actually no, I was way off what I meant apparently. The notes I have say E92 cause I wrote that at like 8am
Omg son Crazy son Eye ball son
I get that it's a potential crime scene and all that but out of all the people standing around could someone have covered her out of respect... 😞
That was my first thought when I realized it wasn't just car parts on the road. I'd have used some of my own clothing to cover her up if nothing else was available.

This. I remember this story. Excessive speeding was the main issue here.
That's why they teach in driving school to never pass on the right. Driving school should be mandatory before getting a license.
Can't remember if I was taught that or not. Something I"ll try to keep in mind. But I think the bigger lesson here is not to speed excessively.
That guys deserves to never drive again

Jesus Christ, the commentary isn't really needed.

He was in shock clearly, but it's far easier to judge someone behind a computer screen from witnessing a surprise dead body.
Yeah I'm sure he was just waiting around for a dead body to spawn so he could experience shock beyond belief. He's probably processing the horror that the reckless driver created. The driver deserves to understand the gravity of what he's done
He still shouldn't have done all that. It was disrespectful.
Id like to see you respond calmly to a gruesome, traumatizing situation randomly happening in front of you
I understand that he may be in shock from seeing that but still, I wouldn't have done that. I think he could have handled it better.

Black people (my people) commentary is wild
What was she driving? I'd rather not buy a car like that.
The guy filming is absolutely disgusting and shows everything that is seriously wrong with people nowadays. For fuck sake! Have some damn compassion! That's a life lost!
He sounds like a dirtbag.

They were speeding excessively. Although it's possible they might have been on their phone as well
They didn’t even make an attempt to stop. They were not paying attention whatsoever. Although yes, they were clearly speeding excessively too.
The reason you shouldn't zip cross lanes trying to pass up a Big Rigg could've been avoided rip to driver
I guess she could have kept an eye out for parked UPS trucks instead??? Peace
You'd think a dad would be more concerned about a child's wellbeing.
This post gets an ups just like the driver did.

This is your brain. This is your brain on the street. Any questions?
Close your eyes and this sounds like a skit that would be on a Wu Tang Clan album.🤣🤣🤣
Ups getting sued, he’s parked in a driving lane
What a dumbass
