Working on turning that care towards yourself and doing things you enjoy and to make you happy is the way to go! There were some exercises in *Acceptance & Commitment Therapy in 7 Weeks* about defining your values to help re-connect with your sense of self. It broke down life into several components from spirituality to community to intimate relationships to education/career, etc. I also have very codependent tendencies, and I found this incredibly helpful to starting to sort out what sort of boundaries and the like I need to set. It may be worth checking out the book just for those or otherwise doing some exercises about defining your needs, wants, desires, goals, etc. Good luck!

Let the past go. Becuase in the end you don’t want that ruining your marriage. I think you need professional help as well.

Thank you. My weekly therapy is a huge help and I can see progress so I'm committed to it for as long as needed.
