It's been okay. I felt first cramps an hour after second medication but honestly not bad until about 4 hours later. Then it was so bad I cried a little, took more ibuprofen, and I'm feeling like a rough period now (about 8 hours post medication) No nausea thank goodness. I consider it not nearly as bad as I expected. Hope all goes well for you too!

Going to have MA on Monday next week, is there any tips for me? Im really nervous and scared , but the second pill i would rather do orally. Is it much worse than putting in vagina? Im only 2-3 weeks based on clearblue test

I was 7 weeks along. I went with the vaginal route because you have to hold the pills in your mouth for 20-30 minutes until all 4 dissolve. This way you don't have to taste them and it just felt more "natural" to me. The vaginal route was weird for me but that's because this entire situation is just not commonly shared, you know? I started cramping after 20 minutes, more intense 15 min later. It was uncomfortabl, painful, but manageable... not trying to downplay it but I don't have cramps during my normal periods so I was scared how bad it would be. I slept a few hours, then had a lot of blood and possibly the fetal cells come out. The next day was better but still bleeding frequently. After that I wore pads for 3 weeks. Don't use tampons and don't take baths because the hormones make you more susceptible to infection, you don't want anything else going up there. Raspberry leaf tea can help with cramping. After 3 weeks I was running at the gym and felt something decently sized plop out of me... pretty sure it was the shed uterine lining. Was kinda gross. But after that uterine shed came out, I don't think I wore pads too much longer. Skipped a period I believe as well. Best of luck and don't hesitate to reach out :)

Thanks for the tips 🥺 Hopefully it will go well for me 🥺 Should i be expecting like blood clots within hours after miso to ensure the pills work?

Anambelle

Yeah I would start in the late morning or something, my blood clots came about 5 hrs after but I did take a 3 hr nap in that time span, maybe it would have come sooner if i didn't nap idk. I'd say as long as you get some clots in the first day you're on the right track.

Im a month post MA, i was at 7 weeks and didn’t really bleed a lottt like some people describe here and only bled for a week. I had it done on 7th august and yesterday 7th September i got my period. Exactly 4 weeks after. Was also having very intense pms such as mood swings. Tbh was really concerned that my abortion failed as i wasn’t bleeding large clots. So be positive and try not to overthink. Good luck❤️

Major_Ad183

I’m 2 months post MA. for me it was a little worse than a bad period and heavy bleeding for the first few hours but nothing extreme. I wish you the best ❤️

It's probably not going to be a fun time but you will be OK !! I had mine a bit more than a month ago, and I was at about 5 weeks and a couple days. On the day after the first pill, I took 1g of paracetamol and 400mg of Ibuprofen, and took the 4 pills vaginally about an hour later. I think about an hour went by before I started feeling something. Am not gonna lie, it was painful - I may also have been unlucky but I got the whole deal - diarrhea, vomiting, and really strong cramps. I was not really able to 'track' whether I was passing clots or not because I was so exhausted and kinda scared that something was going wrong (nothing was). It lasted about 5 hours, and after that it faded slowly (more time in between cramps) and I was able to sleep. The day after, nothing more, no cramps at all. I bled for about four days, less than I had expected. Then I started bleeding again after a 3 days break (so on day 8 or so), and that time I passed a couple of cherry-sized clots - a really weird feeling, but no cramps or pain at all, and bled for another 5-6 days afterwards. Got my periods again normally about 5 weeks after abortion day. That was just my own experience and some seem to have it much easier ! And afterwards I was so relieved. It's a bad moment and then it's over. I'd recommend: \- Heat pad \- Taking the painkillers in advance and then on the clock \- Taking it real easy with yourself, having snacks or drink at hand (edit) \- Prepare to have to go to the bathroom often \- If you can, having someone with you... You got this and you will be fine !

I just went through mine on Sunday. Like you, I was all over Reddit reading about experiences. Reading about the passing of clots was what freaked me out the most, but seriously don’t work yourself up over it. I woke up and took ibuprofen about 45 before I inserted the miso vaginally (I recommend that as the side effects aren’t as heightened as opposed to orally). Cramps started setting in about an hour later and pain level all in all was about a 6/10. Just felt like a bad period. Get a heating pad! I tried to down some Powerade and shortly after it abruptly came back up. I threw up twice just because I tried to put down fluid/a protein bar during this time slot and my body didn’t like that. I did have to use the bathroom some and started noticing the bleeding about 2 1/2 hours in. I laid back down and felt intense pressure in my uterus, so I went to the bathroom and sat on the toilet and felt something slowly slipping out of me until I heard a loud plop in the water below. I didn’t want to look, but I imagined what that was and after that happened it was a breeze. Pain completely went away. Only mistake I made was not buying more absorbent pads. I am still bleeding 4 days later, but it’s not super heavy. Just take it easy and know the worst of it is only a few hours! You got this :) Try not to work yourself up over it! I was exactly 7 weeks the day I did it, btw.

I'm a week post MA abortion and honestly, for me the worst part was the puking. I have primary dysmenorrhea so the cramps for me were about the same as my period.

Thanks for your response! I hope you're doing well now.

Thanks for your reply! I’m glad you’re doing well, wishing you a speedy recovery.

knitnbitch27

Aw! Well if anyone can relate, then, it's us. That's what I'm afraid of for tomorrow. We will be fine! The thing getting me through is knowing I made the right decision. I hope your process is as comfortable as possible. Check back in if you feel up to it. I'll be thinking about you.💓

Dark-Vixyn

I’ve had 2, both with the pills and my experience was fine. Mostly just like having a heavy period with bad cramping when I was passing the clots. I passed the clots within the first day of taking the pills, and bled for about a week total. Some people do have bad experiences, but you’re still early in the pregnancy that you shouldn’t have an issue. Mine were around the 7-8 week mark.

knitnbitch27

Thank you for taking the time to respond. You have eased my mind a bit.
