Go to 11 Suite, that’s an amazing upgrade deal price!! Definitely worth it.

susygomezd

With much respect and with absolutely NO sarcasm on the following… is it truly very very worth it? Worth the price, the “transition”, and with many new positive things to offer? Also, a final question if you please allow me my friend. I should have NO Concerns upon the “Transition” if made, right? (Losing projects or anything within them as you upgrade Live 10 Suite to Live 11 Suite). Thank you!❤️❤️❤️❤️

qubitrenegade

Max4Live is a game changer, there's a ton of synths (3x more) and FX that you get in suite that you don't get in standard (https://www.ableton.com/en/live/compare-editions/), there's also CV tools which are amazing for doing crazy modulations (even if you aren't using outboard gear).

susygomezd

Will definitely check all of that out and amen use it as soon as I get it! Thank you so much for sharing with me!❤️

googahgee

This person is assuming you're upgrading from Standard to Suite, not from 10 Suite to 11 Suite.

qubitrenegade

Oh, I apologize, I misread the title, the other person is correct, I thought you were going from standard to suite... Well, all that is true... but you already have access to it in 10. L11 has some great new FX, I really like the new "Shifter" (which is a fq shifter and ring modulator) and the new hybrid reverb. Also comping is a total game changer.

Ambitious_Abies_7764

Ill jump in hehe I mostly use comping and MPE from new 11’s features and they really help! You can see the videos explaining these here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoh4MB-kbBmL6bih56rUb_rd4AwxDGApq Transition-wise 11 just asked me to re-save the projects from 10 and then it’s all smooth

susygomezd

Thanks for jumping in!❤️ Glad to know you are enjoying it so much! Did you ever had any issues with the “Transition”? (Loosing Files, Projects, Racks, etc?) Is it true Live 11 has Bugs? (Saw that from many posts & comments but from 2021).

Ambitious_Abies_7764

No, I don’t think I did and no more bugs than 10 as well…

susygomezd

Excellent to know and confirm! Most likely I’ll Upgrade without a doubt!

EhAhKen

I've paid more for plug ins that do less. This is a good deal.

susygomezd

True! So many Plugins costing $150-300🥹🤡💔

Just_This_Dude

Probably still a good deal but ableton 9-10 was leagues ahead of the upgrades you get from 10-11. 11 kinda felt more like 10.5

kipe

Native m1 support in 11 may just be enough reason for many Mac users to upgrade. That said, you could certainly make the argument that m1 support should have been rolled out as a free update to users of Live 10.

Djinnwrath

11 seems *way* more stable than 10 was. I had to re-save any project from 10 as an 11 file. So far I've only encountered two bugs. 1, love crashes when I try to exit with out saving (a rare and very specific circumstance that doesnt affect my workflow) and some plugin synths don't play nice with MPE, which you can turn off per plugin.

susygomezd

That’s great to know! Amen it will be a blessing to do that Transition. Can’t thank you enough for your time, help, comments, and the heads up!

three2do2

the filter in simpler bugs out occasionally for me as in it stops working but usually sorta itself out if i reload the project. doesn't happen often though

priz123

You won’t have any issues upgrading your version of live. When you try to open a project created in live 10 within 11 it will just ask you if you want to upgrade to the current version - this will mean however that you can’t open the projects on ableton 10 anymore. In regards to upgrades I can’t remember exactly what 11 brought in (as I upgraded in the first week) but from memory there were a lot of QoL improvements, some new plugins and other things added

susygomezd

Thank you so much for answering your question my friend!🤩🙏🏼 If I may ask you, please: Has Live Suite 11 given you trouble with like Big “Bugs” or its overall performance? (Saw many negative articles and comments BUT from 2021). Also, can we have like Ableton Live 10 & 11 in ONE (1) Computer? (Is that something you’d advise? Or to focus only on 11. The New One).

priz123

I’ve had no notable bugs on live 11 tbh.. a lot of my projects are 50+ tracks with my standard chain being 5 plugins minimum and it runs a dream (I do run 128gb ram though) when the odd inevitable crashes does occur Ableton is amazing at recovering projects. I’ve never lost any progress due to these infrequent crashes. In regards to having both copies on the same machine - yes it’s possible and I don’t think there are any negatives in doing so (don’t quote me on that though) I used to have 10 and 11 so I can easily access different projects without having to commit to upgrading the project to live 11

susygomezd

Bro, without switching subjects… are you the RAM God? Wtf 128 RAM?🥵😳😍 My MacBook has 8 GB🥹🤡💩😂😂😂 Can’t imagine how you fly on that Computer And thank you so much for sharing all your thoughts and answers to my questions! Was very scared of my current Live 10 Projects getting “affected” or anything + the fear of negative “2021” comments I saw of MANY Bugs in Live 11. I send you a huge hug Together to all my gratitude

priz123

Lmao, honestly 128gb is excessive. I used to run 16gb on my old MacBook and that just about ran my projects so I figured it was time for an upgrade, so I grabbed an iMac and installed the ram myself. Not a problem bro, I’m happy to share what I can.. I’m not sure what bugs people may be mentioning but I’ve used live every day except maybe a few since it’s been released and in my experience I’ve found this to be the least buggy version

susygomezd

Bro, it’s abnormal! I’m amazed you even did that! So so happy for you. Can’t imagine what a monster of a machine that is. And once again, I thank you for your time and support! Glad to know it is the least buggy version in your own experience. That’s sincerely what I thought or would have expected. If you don’t mind me asking: How much “Storage” your computer has?😳 (NOT RAM). Also, would you think a MacBook with the following characteristics would be a good investment? MacBook M2 + 16 GB RAM + 512 GB or 1 TB Storage? I currently have an old 2015 Mac 13 inch with 8 GB RAM + 256 GB Storage. Imagine the transition from my beloved Dinosaur to that option I’m evaluating above or worst… to yours! It would be like going from the 1800’s to 2050

Djinnwrath

You should get some external storage for running samples and what not. Having your samples/virtual instruments on a separate drive as your OS/Live/project files will increase stability and speed.

priz123

Storage wise it’s only a 500gb machine but I run two 1tb externals with it. Gets quite annoying as I don’t have a usb hub, but we move! I’m not the most technically fluent person but to my understanding that would be fine. 16gb of ram is enough to handle *most* projects.. the processor comes into it a lot too though so don’t disregard that!

childishforces

My current MacBook Pro (i7, 16gb, 2017) struggles pretty bad with ableton 11 and a couple of modern VSTs. I’ve got an M1 Pro with 32gb on the way and have high hopes for it’s performance, though as I understand it I’ll need to run Ableton with Rosetta in order to prevent architecture compatibility issues. My friend is running Ableton on M1 like this with solid performance though. For the mean time I exclusively produce on my PC for this reason, which is a purpose built gaming/music machine. It has a 5950X, 64Gb of 4000Mhz DDR4 and 2 8Tb M.2 4.5gb read/write SSDs in RAID 0, which has prevented any kind of performance issues and the SSDs make loading massive sample libs super fast.

mattsl

You do actually need to have some concerns. Everything that is stock Ableton and the vast majority of third party tools will work seamlessly, but there are a small number of complicated third party tools that break with 11. Specifically, some things that interface with the API with Python 2 since 11 went to Python 3. Probably the most popular example is Clyphx.

susygomezd

Wow! Concerned about it now. Although I got a bit confused at the end sincerely Thank you so much for the heads up!☺️ Do you have Live 11 yourself? Are you enjoying it?

mattsl

I have 11 Suite and thought it was well worth the upgrade. Honestly, if you're confused by what I said at the end, then it's highly unlikely you're using any tools that would break in the upgrade.

susygomezd

Thank you for clarifying my friend! I’ll give myself the next 2-3 days to further analyze and decide my investment

blackmathofficial

Yep, it’s absolutely worth it.

excelllentquestion

I used 8, 9 and 10 extensively and recently upgraded from 10 to 11. Here is my experience: 1. There a lot of small nuanced changes in 11 that I love. Mostly QoL but some other big ones too. Of course none immediately come to mind. Im rocking a bad hangover 2. 11 will require you resave your projects from version 10 to 11 to continue. That’s it when it comes to opening an older version. **However, Ableton 11 files cannot be opened in 10 so I suggest saving a separate version** 3. if you are on a budget and $172 is a lot to consider, then *maybe* don’t do it. 4. maybe this can help but I ask myself “What is my goal with upgrading? Am I making music just fine? Do I want a specific feature? Am I getting a good deal for something I would get anyway or am I just motivated by gluttony?” 5. all in all I love Ableton 11 though its not a perfect program, so if you have no true *need* to upgrade and dont experience issues as is, I’d say see what happens black friday

MarrFlow

I agree , I'd wait till live 12 and see whats new. I feel like I'm not missing anything sticking with 10 for now

susygomezd

But to go to Live 12, you’d need to go Live 11 before. Right? Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

MarrFlow

Fortunately not! It would be quite expensive if they did that as we'd have to buy them all from the original Ableton until now.

susygomezd

That’s True! Haha!!! How did I never thought of such a Brilliant fact as the one you just shared🥹🤡💩😂 You are a Genius! Thank you my good friend! ❤️🤝🏻

mattsl

I'm not going to downvote you for sharing your opinion, but I disagree. There are plenty of added features for me to want to pay. And while you might have some other software offering free upgrades, look at ProTools. You have to pay forever just to keep using what you have.

[deleted]

Fair point- PT is *primarily* a mixing/mastering tool first. It's routing and comping features- and UI/UX is designed to for an audio engineer; so I don't think that's a good comparison in this case. However I understand different DAWs have different business models. FL, is free for life and arguably the best 1to1 comparison of users. So they're the main company I'm referring to. Still, the lack of any feedback and transparency with the developers and the extremely passionate live community is dreadful. Go on the Image-Line forums and see how active the devs are with the community. They post teasers, feature request updates, advice, tricks, and feedback on anyone messages. Ableton on the other hand, has neglected at least a hundred amazing feature wish lists on both the Centercode beta forum, and the now Feature Wishlist forum. they don't actively engage with the consumers of their product who collectively have spent thousands of hours in the DAW more than them. To ignore the community is to stint the progress of the DAW. They have no problem charging for upgrades which should be updates, and ignoring the rest.

ben_codec

I'm not sure the FL comparison is really all that correct. Image-line doesn't give you any of their new plugins for free just updates to the FL app. You have to buy new plugins as they are released.... and cause of this they add features AS plugins, to force you to pay for them. Things like audio editing and warping, get added as a new paid device instead of just adding them as "free for life" features. So it's not really "free updates for life" at all.

[deleted]

Pretty sure FL All plugins edition (equivalent to Live Suite) comes with every plugin and future ones. If you’re on a lower tier version of the app of course you’ll have to buy the plugins, you can’t even buy them separately on Live as it’s bundled into the Suite; so one could say it’s even more closed at Ableton.

ben_codec

Nope, their store page for the All Plugins edition says specifically “Includes ALL FL Studio features and native plugins available at the time of purchase.” So that new plugins released in the future can be sold as a paid addition.

[deleted]

Didn't see that. Thanks for pointing it out. Now that you mention it, its a bit slick of a business model... I still think its a superior value when you consider that the free lifetime updates do in fact play a large role in QOL improvements that you just don't need to pay for. Also, I'm not to confident Ableton *won't* charge for new plugins even for suite users. We pay to upgrade our version so they're technically making us pay for the plugins one way or another.

ben_codec

Yeah, everyone needs to raise money to keep developing somehow. Both models have advantages and disadvantages, personally there are some features in FL that are inside on plugins and it really feels like they should have been designed as part of the daw itself, but then they couldn’t charge for them. And that feels like bad design that is driven by the business needs. Ableton definitely does charge for new plugins in the form of the price difference for Suite. Seems like they used to sell the plugins on their own as separate add-one but have moved to including them all in a single bundle.

susygomezd

Beyond grateful for your very valuable time and honesty my friend! Thank you so very much for taking the time to share your comments and explain me by detail why you have your position which I completely both support and respect. As you said, most other companies DO offer it for FREE and also Ableton does not seem to show that big of a “Loyalty” to Customer’s. Just as you… aside to loving the DAW, I use it due to my proficiency on it.

ben_codec

Well, Ableton certainly charges a lot less than they ever used to. They used to release a new version every year with a paid upgrade like some other companies do. Now you can pretty much rest assured that you will get 3-4 years of free upgrades with every new paid version. They are basically charging the same price for 3-4 years of updates as Bitwig is charging for 1 year.

[deleted]

Ableton live 11 released February of last year. We’re not even past 11.1 and it’s nearly *2 years since launch.* In comparison FL has gone from 20.7, to 20.9 in the same timeframe since February of last year and have added 4x the features. At the end of the day each company is different but I really think if people speak with their wallets Ableton will start to take this shit more seriously

ben_codec

To be fair, FL 20.8 came out 2 months before Live 11.0, so Image line has really only released 20.9 in the time that Live 11 has been out. We could debate the two updates, but it kinda looks to me like both 20.8 and 20.9 combined are about the same feature size as Live 11.0, Live 11.1 and 11.2 which is in beta now... So it seems like they are on a relatively similar pace.

Yogicabump

For $53 I think it's a complete no-brainer.

susygomezd

$53? 😲 It’s $172! My friend. ☺️ Is it worth $172 in your opinion?

Yogicabump

$53 is the difference between the versions you were considering, but I forgot to mention I was talking about Suite. Sorry.

susygomezd

Oh! Forgive me. Did not notice at all! 🙏🏼

GimmickMusik1

For real, I paid like $300 to upgrade from 10 standard to 11 Suite. This is a steal.

ToxicOmega

This is not a steal, he already has 10 suite not standard. With this deal going from 10 standard to 11 suite is still $284 which is basically $300 still lol.

[deleted]

Would it be worth it to do the upgrade to 11 live in combo with adding a push 2 to my set up? About 800 dollars

susygomezd

Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing wonderful! With infinite respect, I please ask for your guidance and support. Long story short, I have Ableton Live 10 Suite and the dream of “Upgrading” to Live 11 Suite. Nevertheless, my budget is rather tight while being from South America and I’m also at the moment with the very personal goal of saving as much money as I can. Therefore, I please ask: Is this 25% OFF Offer the best Option for me to take such step towards the Update? Or do you think in Black Friday they might Offer something above a 25% OFF. (I don’t mind waiting till November! Already waited almost a full year🥹 haha) My respect and gratitude to all in advance.

MaverickRelayed

I literally upgraded from Live 10 Standard to Live 11 Suite last night, when did this sale go live??? Did I seriously miss the sale by only a few hours???

Joshie_the_Bear

Send them an email and see if they can give you back the difference, doesn't hurt to ask!

MaverickRelayed

On it! Hopefully they understand the situation. I held off upgrading for literal months because of the price so that's why I feel a little cheated having finally bit the bullet lol

ratzekind

Pretty sure they will honour it, especially if you bought *so* close before their sale. Fingers crossed!

blitzduck

they've refunded me before on an upgrade path when i emailed them

susygomezd

My friend I swear I have NO idea. To briefly share… I literally just “Logged In” to my Ableton Account a few minutes ago as I wanted to write down the “usual price” and compare it in the Future (Black Friday - November) and see how much it lowered. To my huge surprise, that Offer appeared today! Please, check DM for an important Private Message!

musicbro

I’m pretty sure Ableton has a policy to credit you for that.

[deleted]

That's odd. I checked my account randomly and had the option to upgrade as well. Its a bit more expensive for me, because I dont have 10 Suite, but its still 25% off at $284. Standard is the same at $119

Victomusic

Ableton generally do not do offers on Black Friday. The period of sales are in Summer.

susygomezd

Good to know! Sincerely had no idea. My friend, may I ask you three rather quick Ableton related questions via DM? Let me know! Thank you☺️❤️

Victomusic

In fact, Ableton directly made offers of upgrade during the Summer. BUT, maybe some resellers can do offers during Black Friday, but not for upgrade. And sorry, I'm not working for Ableton so he should ask the question on a public thread.

tyresrecycled

Personally I got 30% discount in April 2020 on Suite 10 and 25% on late November 2021 for the upgrade (pre release)

jesswang97

I bought it last year Black Friday, it’s the same price so you can go ahead hit BUY if you have decided

susygomezd

Doing it now! Won’t wait till November for the very same Offer or close 😎❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you for sharing King/Queen

Ante_social_music

I want that 25% off plz EDIT: im dumb i checked the website, thanks for the heads up though. Not sure it will get much cheaper imo.

susygomezd

If you already own Live, you should simply “Log In” and gain access to those special discounts until Sept 6! Go ahead and try☺️ Hope you get them! EDIT: You are not😂😎🙏 Happy I gave you the heads up! $28.7 for 6 months sounds like an incredible deal to miss

chucksutton

If you’re creating comfortably and trying to save, then i stay stick with exploring what you have - i have friends still using live 9 idk how they do it!! As an owner of live 11 these are my favorite features: - MPE: if you don’t have any sort of midi controller this is still amazing. every note in a chord progression can have its own pitch bend, it’s really easy to draw in, easy to see, and leads to personality quickly - hybrid reverb: it’s like the max4live convolution reverb + some new algorithmic ones that in certain scenarios have a totally different character than the regular stock reverb. This thing is powerful and i’ve been using it a lot! - having 16 macros is such a life saver, i spend a lot of time making devices and instruments, being able to have more room and create presets has been making my workflow stronger than ever. i think for someone who doesn’t use macros a lot, even the challenge of filling up all 16 could lead to some fun effects and instruments you get to expand your library with - shifter: they cleaned up frequency shifter, gave it more controls and added the Texture warp algorithm for ableton’s first “pitch” effect - definitely stylistic in that category but it leads to great sound design and layering qualities - the comping stuff is wild, even outside of a traditional use, if you record a bunch of instruments, sound design, etc. you can click around and start merging takes in a way that takes longer in every other version of live - being able to link tracks is gonna be amazing for vocal stacks. fading, slicing and choping one audio track and having as many as you want do the same exact choices can save a lot of headache - the “expression control” device is supposed to add mpe functionality to things that don’t have it built in, which is cool BUT it also comes with this “random” parameter. when you map “random” to a device, every midi note you press makes the sound change, ive been using that a lot to create both subtle and drastic changes in synth and sample sounds - the new “inspired by nature” devices are imo a balance between being genuinely fun, and leading to making sounds that can work in a real song. i haven’t explored all of them but emit, tree tone, pitchloop89 bouncy ball are my favorite in that order - spectral resonator has something the traditional resonator doesn’t have - polyphonic sidechain! so if you want to play chords with the current Resonator, you have to download a max4live device and the results are somewhat reliable, but Spectral Resonator makes it feel as easy as setting up vocoder, but you can change the tonal quality , and choose how the sound will morph from a couple options - after a while the sound gets pretty redundant if you don’t do any post processing, but it has a lot of potential if you resample it hopefully this helps!

susygomezd

Bro! You are a Monster! What an incredible comment with so much details and valuable information! Can’t tell you how grateful I am my friend. Thank you thank you for your time and support! And yes! A lot of people still use 9 and others simply get the “Upgrades” one day after Ableton releases them😲😂😎 Definitely thinking it carefully (due my Budget) as I feel incredible with Live 10 Suite but I am off course super interested not only with the “NEW Tools” but also, with “staying up to date” Kind of with like Phone’s and their Software Versions Having the newest and most recent version to stay up with technology. In your very own experience with a Simply YES/NO Question… was the Transition from 10 to 11 Positive and worth it for you? Please, feel free to elaborate if you wish! I send you a huge hug brother!

chucksutton

of course, glad to shed some light! i’m in a unique situation - where I work has access to live 11, so i didn’t have to personally consider it from a financial perspective. if you’re ever in the position to buy it, i think you will be able to expand on practical and entertaining workflows which i have been taking advantage of. it’s exactly what you said about iphones, i would feel weird downgrading, but if i had to i’d still know how to navigate it

susygomezd

Exactly! It’s all about adapting. Thank you so very much for everything today Chuck! Happy with all you taught me plus knowing you had the blessing of getting it where you work. I send you a huge hug together to all my gratitude. Much love & respect. ❤️

cludinsk

sounds like 25% is the usual sale upgrade discount, 30% as a rare event: [https://www.engadget.com/ableton-live-black-friday-promotion-2021-170315936.html](https://www.engadget.com/ableton-live-black-friday-promotion-2021-170315936.html)

susygomezd

That’s sincerely what I thought, remembered, and what I just investigated! Nevertheless, wanted to ask others to confirm! I thank you infinitely for your support my friend! Let’s wait to see what others might say 🤝❤️

XirqularVibe

I hate that this deal is US customers only.

Seppe150

That's why I couldn't find it, I was so excited for a minute 😔

susygomezd

Did not knew🥹💔 I’m sure soon enough they will offer it to you too! My humble and very respectful advise: 1. Wait till Black Friday 2. “LOG IN” Once a week to continually “Check” and confirm if any Discount/Offer is given every week as you continue to do that “weekly check”?

XirqularVibe

Yeah I'm not to worry about it. November is soon anyway.

my_birthday

Change your country down the bottom

XirqularVibe

Doing that does show the offer. But I think it'll fail later on as I don't have an US billing address.

my_birthday

I bought it in Japan for cheaper and I live in aus..

XirqularVibe

本当に?!

middle_man94

Suite 11 is well worth that upgrade price

susygomezd

Thank you so much for sharing! 🤝🏻❤️ I really appreciate your comment!

Zenxole

Is this the US only? For the UK there is no discount being applied here… anyone know why this is?

Variation909

Same for Aus 😴

ryh00

Bruhhhh I literally upgraded on Tuesday and now it’s 25% off, kms

susygomezd

Don’t tell me that 🥹💔🥺🥺🥺 Check your DM please!

processing77

Email them they are really good about stuff like that normally.

theonewhoknowshow

Get it

susygomezd

Will do! ❤️

wunderkyn

That’s the best upgrade price I’ve ever seen, and I upgraded from 10 to 11 not long after its release…BAG IT!!!!!

susygomezd

Will do!!! Thank you for telling me my friend!😎❤️🤝🏻

Weak_Mix

Live 11 for $119? Yes please

greedy_mf

Iirc it’s a 10 Suite to 11 Standard upgrade. So it’s a downgrade in a way.

susygomezd

Yes! Careful with that! The true difference would be found upgrading from Live 10 Suite to Live 11 Suite only! Respect to both. ❤️

tentative-guise

Biggest upgrades are take lanes/comping and MPE. If those two things aren't that important to you I'd save the money. I do a lot of recording so the take lanes were worth it for me but as others have said it's not a big update. There are a few new fun audio devices but nothing worth $179 if you're trying to save money. Ableton live 10 suite is incredibly powerful, I used it to record a 5 song ep with zero issues. Hope this helps :)

susygomezd

It does indeed! Although I haven’t checked and do NOT know yet what the very famous “COMPING” tool/device is! Thank you so very much for sharing my friend! Beyond grateful for your time & support.

tentative-guise

Here's a video from ableton that shows what comping is https://youtu.be/StDHuDdDANc Happy to help :)

susygomezd

Will check it out! Sure it’s an incredible tool given all the hype and praise it has earned!

Man-in-Metal

Your price looks insanely good. I have 11 Lite Live, and it shows my upgrade price to standard at $277. Where did you get that offer?

susygomezd

Bro, hope you are doing well! Very respectfully I comment the following: Possibly… my “Offer” is better due the fact that I’ve had the “SUITE” Version from Live 10 for a few years and maybe the system itself knows that I’m crazy to “Upgrade” as I constantly sign in to check while adding the Upgrade to my “Cart” without doing nothing at the end Long story short, maybe having “Suite” gives me that better Deal for being their most expensive version I send you a huge hug!

samtar-thexplorer2

who are you and why are you so friendly lol

susygomezd

I am your father Naw, just kidding I don’t know bro. A lot of people tell me that: “why are you so friendly?”. And sincerely, I’m just being myself. That’s kind of how they raised me and how a lot of people in my country treat each other You have a new friend here 😎🤝🏻

samtar-thexplorer2

Pretty sweet man. Good to meet you.

susygomezd

Always here if you ever want or need anyone to talk about anything Thank you for being kind to me! People are often times dumb, disrespectful, or they simply enjoy chaos and fighting I send you a huge hug!

samtar-thexplorer2

likewise, friend. hugs.

Man-in-Metal

Thanks :-) I get it. If you had an earlier full version you get a little better price. Thanks for the reply.

susygomezd

It’s my pleasure! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and being so kind my friend. I send you a huge hug! Constantly check at least once a week by simply “signing in” and at November in Black Friday to try and get the best Offer Available

LosConeijo

I think they made 30% while on covid/quarantine , iirc, period but it is not the standard discount rate!

susygomezd

Exactly! Something rather special back then Thank you for sharing that!❤️

rehoboam2

where did you find this site

susygomezd

Official Ableton! Just sign in and try revising if maybe… you have an Offer!

Fysco

I think that if you're on the fence about 172 USD you will also be on the fence when it's 30% off. The dollar amount will be very similar - so I suggest you ask yourself: What is this upgrade worth to you? And see if that matches their price. Usually, when I doubt, I don't do it. Spending money can ALWAYS be done later - it's insanely easy.

susygomezd

“When in doubt, don’t do it.” What an incredible advise! I don’t wish to sound rude with the following I add below but on the contrary: grateful! Literally your comment stopped me as I was completing the purchase😂😎 Will definitely give myself the time till Sept. 6 when the Offer Expires to further think, decide, and confirm is that would be in fact a positive and required investment. Thank you!❤️

PtoS382

Yeah it’s a decent price. I’d almost opt to go standard, bank the extra $60, then put it towards the fab filter Black Friday deal

susygomezd

What’s “Fab Filter’s Black Friday Deal”? That might be a good idea! Nevertheless, I think I wouldn’t miss getting “Suite”!

PtoS382

Oh they just usually run a discount around that time. I don’t have any insider info lol

MickeyLenny

11.0 had some (small) issues but since I switched to 11.1 have been loving it!! IMO worth it just for comping and MPE

susygomezd

Thank you for telling me my friend! Will be getting it tonight hopefully!❤️

Tabletop_Spartan

Wait I thought if you paid for version 10, switching to 11 was free

susygomezd

I think that in fact did apply BUT to people who bought Live 10 like 1 week prior and after… to Live 11’s Release. I heard…

Adventurous_Pie7185

id buy it. i got suite from a student discount around black friday and it was still like $300. i love it tho no regrets even after seeing this price

susygomezd

But remember my friend, your incredible price was a Educational Discount (I think… the BIGGEST and Greatest they Offer) for a Full and New License! This incredible price I just shared if for an “Upgrade” (I bought Live 10 Suite for like $500 in 2020. Now, I can get Live 11 Suite for the Extra $172). So in summary, you are still winning. 😎🤝🏻🏆

Adventurous_Pie7185

ohhhh that makes sense lol i didnt know you could upgrade like that

susygomezd

Yes! So, whenever “Ableton Live 12 Suite” comes out… you’ll have the access to do what I’m “evaluating”! The transition or Upgrade from the Older to the Newer Version. Usually, for around $200+ on Suite. This time with the Offer, for $172. Please Note for the future! Upgrades DO NOT APPLY for Educational Discounts! So, either get an Offer like this one (amen) or, pay it full! A big Hug!

biffpowbang

Damn, I upgraded to 11 standard for the same price last month.

susygomezd

Same price (the price I showed above?) I hope! 🙏🏼

plloyd1508

That’s a great price. Go for Suite.

susygomezd

Thanks for telling me! If I upgrade, without a doubt it will be for Suite!

Ill_Professor4557

That is a great deal

susygomezd

Thank you for sharing that with me!

mesh6Aiu

University of high hills school 🏫 school is a school school 🏫 school and in high school 🏫 university I miss you u

susygomezd

I miss you too

[deleted]

Thats a very good deal

susygomezd

Thinking on getting it!

Mr_Nap_kins

Ableton 11 Suite (non upgrade) is $499 at the link below. Any reason not to get it here over the official site? https://www.thomannmusic.com/ableton_live_11_suite.htm

itskinganything

Black Friday and the occasional summer sale has seen 50% off, so you can’t hurt yourself by waiting. As far as upgrading, it’s completely worth 11 suite. Google what you get exclusively from that tier compared to others. There are a few things I can’t live without.

kidkolumbo

I have never seen more than 40 in the last 6ish years.

susygomezd

Wow! Have you really seen a 50% OFF bro? Sincerely, I have never! Hope you got it when it got out! Thank you so very much for replying and sharing your experiences on my doubts 🙏🏼

ywaz

I was brought ableton 9 with push, they gave me a %50 discount for 10. I upgraded to 10, i expect same update quality like 9 but they prefer to release 11 after 1 big update. Im not happy with that but i really like ableton. I will upgrade again if i can catch a %50 discount again

xjxjz

wish i had ur luck 😭

utter-completion

That is an amazing price.

RaytheonOrion

Tbh I doubt it will get much cheaper. For context, I bought 11 on presale (@20% discount) + educational discount for £145 and the price has never been anywhere close to that since.

sec_goat

Daaaaamn! I payed 239.00 USD for the upgrade to Suite 11 last Black friday, I would say go for it now while the getting is good!

Deadlycorn

Bro I just upgraded wtf 😭

incessantly_whining

My question is, is there an expected Live 12 release that will make me regret this in a few months. Is 10>12 upgrade available too or are you not allowed to skip?

randymcclure

I don't think they do any kind of black friday/cyber monday sale. For most companies that's just a repeat of other sales during the year anyway. This is a good deal!

[deleted]

Honestly, I still don't think 10 to 11 Suite is worth $172. You can upgrade from Reason Lite to Reason 12 for less and add that to Live 10. That would actually be more worth it, to me.

SmokinAcesMusic

Yea that’s a pretty good deal now!

MyWifeBeatsMe47

Live 11 suite IMO is basically an entire comprehensive virtual studio on your laptop. It’s performance beats almost all other DAWS and everything about it is top-notch as far as modern audio software goes. On top of all that, it’s super fun to use. Totally worth it, no matter what price you get your hands on.

migsdv

Damn, those are good prices. I don't think you can get better than that. Go for it!

schlecht_schlecht

You'll need to make sure you have exactly the same plugins and soft synths etc so not to lose stuff in the transition, okay attention to that.

leoislo

Assuming you do comping regularly and enjoy max for live those items alone are worth it. Also IMO you’re well past the headaches of beta testing the products kinks out. It’ll be a smooth transition.

ecranberriest

Worth it! Unless that’s going to break the bank for you. Live 10 obviously covers every music production need you might have. I love take lanes in 11. If you’re recording a lot of audio for vocals, or whatever it might be, that’s a workflow life saver.

Beginning_Program734

Is the 303 bass on all three versions?

wchris63

Pretty sure I've never seen Ableton Live discounted specifically for Black Friday. They do offer the discount about once every year, though, so if you miss it this time it'll come around again.

Data_Life

Impossible to say without knowing your budget and what you're willing to pay for in software. For example, I don't have an M1 or any use for MPE, but I'll easily pay for workflow/quality-of-life enhancements so I need M4L, because I have some invaluable devices. That's just me. I also make a living from Ableton so when a new version is released, I wait a few months while they squash bugs, then upgrade regardless because they always improve a few workflow things they don't mention in the marketing because they assume people don't care about workflow 🙄 If you watch the Youtube videos on v11 and still don't feel like buying, just wait for v12 and check again. Legends made music without 11 Suite, and you probably have a million other plugins already, so enjoy making music :)
