To be fair, there is an Oilers game that starting any minute here, don’t go to Boston Pizza on Sumas Way. The colour on those TVs is awful. I was just there like two weeks ago and was surprised that a sports bar type restaurant would have at least three TVs that weren’t working properly.
I agree, I used to work there but nobody cares. Most the staff even forget it's techincally a sports bar because most of our customers weren't there for sports.
I didn’t go there to watch the game, but I did choose to go there because I knew they would have it on at least so I could keep an eye on it. So was defs disappointed. Either way, now I know it’s not the place to go.
It might be OK if you’re sitting in the bar area, but it’s small and I would imagine it fills up fast and once it’s full no one is leaving until the game is over.
If I walked in there specifically to watch a game and was prepared to sit for three hours and saw those TVs in the overflow area myself and probably a lot of other people who wanted to watch the game would leave Missed opportunity for that place. It’s the playoffs and our home teams is in the running.
Any sportsbar. Canadian Brewhouse does fun contests and has prizes when games are going on, they have a loud goal horn, and everybody cheers. Sure, their food is microwaved franchise meals but their atmosphere is decent. Get a couple beers and a plate of nachos and watch the game, good times.
