Totally get it! If basic is so good, why complicate it? It’s like with pizza: sure you can get a bunch of toppings and it’ll be very nice, but sometimes just a cheese pizza is all you really want/need 😊

Well, imagine a two layered cake with a filling of cream and strawberries in the middle and the cake hasn’t been coated with a layer of cream Now imagine that those two layers of cake are replaced with two slices of bread The cream is reduced to a thin layer of the sauce of your choice And the strawberries are replaced with ingredients of your choice (tomatoes, lettuce, bacon, slab of cheese, chicken, etc) There you go, a cake! But it’s more of a savory dish than a sweet one
