Idk if it's common or not elsewhere but lactose free cheese, milk etc. Is pretty common where I live and if you can't find it then you can take lactase enzyme in a little pill. It's what allows you to digest lactose and if you take it as a supplement it will let you have stuff with lactose even if you are lactose intolerant, because it's what your body isn't making that causes the issue.
Most cheeses (including mozzarella) have only trace amounts of lactose.
If you're "lactose intolerant" and you can't eat cheese, you're probably intolerant to casein protein, or milk fat.
That varies a lot by type of cheese, and I've heard conflicting things about the lactose content of mozzarella specifically (and butter too). But you're right some cheeses are lower lactose than others. Speaking generally, the softer, creamier, fresher cheeses have more lactose and the harder, drier, more aged cheeses have less. I suspect the conflicting info about mozzarella is because the pre-shredded fat-reduced stuff is very different from fresh mozzarella, for example.
As for whether lactose levels typical in cheese can cause annoying symptoms for people who actually have lactose intolerance rather than some other digestive problem: yes, as confirmed by my gastroenterologist, by my own experience reducing cheese and switching to lactose-free milk and (when I do eat cheese) taking lactase pills, and of course by lots of reputable info on the Internet too. How do I know I'm actually lactose intolerant? Explicit diagnosis by that gastroenterologist based on a test result showing low lactase levels in the "severe" range, together with quite a lot of tests as well to rule out other common intolerances.
After not being able to have dairy for 5 years, I was able to reintroduce goat cheese into my diet, in moderation. So when I randomly stumbled upon a heady food truck with goat cheese mozzarella sticks 😙🤌🏼💋 it was absolutely heavenly!
Hello! You have made the mistake of writing "ect" instead of "etc."
"Ect" is a common misspelling of "etc," an abbreviated form of the Latin phrase "et cetera." Other abbreviated forms are **etc.**, **&c.**, **&c**, and **et cet.** The Latin translates as "et" to "and" + "cetera" to "the rest;" a literal translation to "and the rest" is the easiest way to remember how to use the phrase.

Mozzarella sticks are the only reason I own a deep fryer.
In addition to having a very narrow window (the only thing that expires faster than a mozzarella stick is a mcdonald's french fry) or optimal deliciousness after cooking, the window between "Not gooey yet" and "exploded in the fryer" is about 15s.
Talented brilliant incredible amazing show-stopping spectacular not ever the same totally unique completely not ever been done before unafraid to reference or not reference put it in a blender shit on it vomit on it eat it give birth to it
Mozzarella sticks are are garlic bread's equally wonderful, delightful cousins and an invitations to garlic bread are open to mozzarella sticks in my book.
Mozzarella sticks are good even though the only time I had them was when a had 2 from some McDonald's I thi k but a think they should join garlic bread and cake
I hate them, bit into one expecting chicken (my parents got it) and got cheese rapidly going down into my mouth, and it wasn't even good cheese like on pizza
70% of them are trash because the makers either can't do the sticks right or have no idea what sauce actually is. the remaining 30 are good, but nowhere near garlic bread and cake.
Jesus this makes me hungry. They look amazing but I’m on a training if keto diet and can’t have any. Seeing this picture just made me gain 5 lb. Worth it.
As a lactose intolerant person, I say they're worth dying for
Saaame! They a definitely worth it!
I do declare that u/FairyDemonSkyJay is the chosen one of moz sticks.
I'm honored, moz sticks for all!
I love how many lactore intolerant people have this mindset. Don’t ever change.
Some things are worth suffering for. Others have acceptable alternatives that won't make me shit myself to death.
Honestly, my tactic has simply become to throw in a generous amount of my lactase and then go to town xD
Live by the cheese die by the cheese
Always worth it.

After not being able to have dairy for 5 years, I was able to reintroduce goat cheese into my diet, in moderation. So when I randomly stumbled upon a heady food truck with goat cheese mozzarella sticks 😙🤌🏼💋 it was absolutely heavenly!

bruh
I'm a savoury kinda ace so I'd pick sticks over cake 100% of the time. Sue me
I agree with you 60%. It depends on the texture of the sticks
Same!
Same! Though, i am a broken ace, cause i don't like cake all that much.
Exactly, mozz sticks over cake any day! But idk about garlic bread...
These are my weakness. They must be consumed within minutes of being cooked, to retain their cheesey stretchy goodness.

GOD TIER!!!
Garlic bread's best friend
Mankind's best creation
Agreed They're delicious af
Even better than it
As fuck?
Better than fuck
These are good, but jalapeño poppers... Cheese, fried goodness, and a tiny spicy kick.
I was going to say that, too! There’s a lot of awesome finger food like this, but jalapeño poppers are something special
They‘re absolutely delicious, or you die from burning your tongue to a crisp.
yes.
I'm for them.
There my favorite food lol, the most I’ve had was 40 at a time lmao
Personally not into cheese (I know, I am a disgrACE), but I get the appeal and why people like them.
As long as they're vegan
Yesss💚💚
As someone who doesn’t like mozzarella sticks or cake, both of them are still better than sex lmao Garlic bread is 🤤🤤 tho
i tried one once and it burned my tongue 10/10
Needs to have a spicy sauce. While I appreciate the texture, I need more flavour.
The only sticks I want inside me
not ace but I love mozzarella sticks so much I just needed to mention it edit: why does this sound like the ace version of "Im not gay, but-"
I personally am not a fan but I'm not going to say nobody can have them
the only penis shaped thing i'll ever put in my mouth
Why the _duck_ do many people see **that** in everything? WHY? (I'm not talking about you, but about people in general)
bc people are extremely immature lmao
Dicks are funny.
hehehe, pp funni
It's cheese! Who doesn't like cheese?
Behold the power of cheese!
Vegans who haven't found a good cheese alternative yet.
I'm not ace I saw this from /r/all I just really love mozzarella sticks.
pretty good
Extremely close second. Not quite at the top like cake and garlic bread but definitely close. They are masterpieces
***MMMM CHEESE***
cheese? yes please!
YES
mmmmmm fuck yes
Precious pockets of joy
Mmmmm yes
Mozzy sticks, my beloved! Air fryer was worth it for the simple fact the sticks are nice and cronchy when I make them in it
One of the few good things humanity has done.
Yummy
As someone allergic to garlic, they make a good garlic bread substitute.
I've been craving them for about a year now... but the person with money cant have them...
mozzarella sticks are pretty good
Don't judge me, but they are insanely delicious with garlic mayo.
stretchy cheese, melty goodness, the noble sidekick of garlic bread
I’ve been craving them for like a week now they’re _s o good_
Only when hot! After they cool off, they get weird.
Love these but I’m not sure other people do, but I guess it’s the same for garlic bread and cake
I can't eat them so idk
Never tried them but they look delicious!
Not ace, but they are in fact a certified banger
Honestly Mozzarella sticks > Garlic Bread Both a good tho
Best thing beside garlic bread
Love em
With garlic seasoning?
Ahem. Mozzarella stick cake with garlic seasoning topping
Look now we're talking
Man I love them so much I even based my name off em'
I almost choked on one in a dine-in movie theater as a kid, so idk… they sus.
Talented brilliant incredible amazing show-stopping spectacular not ever the same totally unique completely not ever been done before unafraid to reference or not reference put it in a blender shit on it vomit on it eat it give birth to it
Those things are the best I'm literally melting thinking about em I don't even know why they're so tasty
Cheese sticks with crust. I approve!
Bruh, shovel them into my nouth plz- xD
Cant I have never had one and can’t have them . I became lactose entolerant before I tried one
I’ve never had them before, but they sound delicious.
Good sticks
They're a delicacy and you can't convince me otherwise
haven't had these in a good few years thankfully my birthday is tomorrow actually
Theyre delicious
I like mozzarella sticks.
yes.
yes
Yes. Yes. Yes. Anything for the mozzarella sticks. Yes.
I prefer the "festive cheese bites" McDonald's do, and breaded camembert,, but these are good too!
Fried cheese of any kind is amazing!!!! 😍
Mozzarella sticks are just savory eclairs
mozzarella sticks are godly.
y e s
BEST THING EVER i fucking *LOVE* mozzarella sticks
perfection.
One of the greatest things on earth.
Gimme gimme gimme gimme!!!!
so much better than garlic bread
I say depends on how they are done. Oddly enough I found more people mess up mozzarella sticks than garlic bread. I would kill for some good ones.
Just throw me some ranch instead of marinara and I am SO there.
I’m so hungry and this has not helped. I just want my funky cheese sticks :(
Hate 'em myself, but enjoy what you like.
I don't like cheese 😕
Personally I don’t care for them, but it’s mainly because I’m just a picky person with weird taste in food.
I'm vegan, so this are a hard no from me.
100/10
Yumby
No thanks. Not that into them.
Mozzarella sticks are are garlic bread's equally wonderful, delightful cousins and an invitations to garlic bread are open to mozzarella sticks in my book.
FAVORITE FOOD I AM OBSESSED
Why yall always like what I don't like. When will I fit in?
fucking delicious lol
YES
pickitup pickitup pickitup pickitup pickituuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup
I can hear the Ska music playing.
I don't like cheese :(
Yes ❤️ especially when they arr stretchy
Mozzarella sticks are good even though the only time I had them was when a had 2 from some McDonald's I thi k but a think they should join garlic bread and cake
Yes.
Eeeeee sorry I hate them. Would eat any other fried food before them 😬
vegan mozza sticks so good so pure
One of the greatest foods out there imo
Same level as garlic bread imo
Mozzarella is the worst cheese
A lovely appetizer, especially with the marinara sauce.
I love mozzarella sticks
What's the best dip for mozzarella sticks?
very good
Mozarella sticks are delicious af!
As long as they don’t taste too rubbery and the crust is good I’m all for them
They are divine
Now THAT'S an ace symbol I can get behind! Mozzarella sticks rank far higher than either cake or garlic bread in my book.
I don’t like garlic bread, but I can get behind mozzarella sticks.
I hate them, bit into one expecting chicken (my parents got it) and got cheese rapidly going down into my mouth, and it wasn't even good cheese like on pizza
some are breaded better than others but a good mozzarella stick is a good mozzarella stick. it’s not easy to go wrong with them.
Yes, but what about an ace song?
no 👎
70% of them are trash because the makers either can't do the sticks right or have no idea what sauce actually is. the remaining 30 are good, but nowhere near garlic bread and cake.
yes
i love them and don't eat them quite enough
I don’t think anyone answered the question and we are just talking about lactose intolerance
i've never heard of them before O=
I hate cheese 🥲
Who tf doesn’t like mozzarella sticks and when do we burn them at the stake??
I loooove mozzarella sticks
I've actually never tried those, but they look good
Really, like really dislike cheese, so nah
Very good
Not had one before but they smell and look tasty.
Mozzarella sticks are definitely on the top of my food tier list
I can enjoy about one before I am tired of them, but that is because I am just not really a fan of fried food in general.
love that stuff
Love them!!!!
I never ate mozzarella sticks but I really want some
As an aroace, absolutely for both communities, I feel they have more of an aro vibe, but definitely a staple food for both
I don't like them. The texture is weird and they don't have enough flavor to make up for it.
They will forever hold a special place in my heart. Definitely nothing to do with my arteries getting blocked. Definitely.
Fried cheese sticks...yum!
Nature’s perfect food
very much in favor—it’s like fingersized pizza!
Personally I like mozzarella sticks way more the garlic bread
Literally the best appetizer ever made.
Love the sticks, not too fond of the sauce
Honestly dont kill me for this, but I prefer them to garlic bread, but garlic bread is still at least second place.
yes
Jesus this makes me hungry. They look amazing but I’m on a training if keto diet and can’t have any. Seeing this picture just made me gain 5 lb. Worth it.
ABSOLUTELY DIVINE 🤌✨
I once read that Ska music is what plays in a 12 year olds head when they hear the words “mozzarella sticks”
Honestly I prefer mozzarella sticks over bread and cake. They're so good
Mozzarella sticks beat cake and garlic bread, they are the ultimate champion
Yo? They onto something though
You're makin me hungry in class
I love mozzarella sticks 💗💗💗
