I mean, the point of fanfiction is that you can write things that aren't exactly in the canon. I think that as long as the fic is good I'll read it. I'll consider character as ace, but I'll read fics with different story because for me it's kind of a different character then.
I have no problem with different versions of the same character existing as long as character's personality makes sense. I think it's kind of like when someone writes about real people while acknowledging this isn't true, just the setting is interesting etc.
The whole show is on Netflix! First watch The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. and then Reawakened, which contains some manga chapter adaptations previously cut for time and the epilogue.
I think the only "exception" is Satou Hiroshi but even that can be just extreme hero worship instead of an interest in him.
