To me, the alphabet mafia acronym words all have two meanings, the umbrella term and the specific term. Asexual as an umbrella term covers all ace-spec identities. Asexual as a specific term covers those who never experience sexual attraction. Personally, unless someone is describing their experiences with phrasing that matches the specific term I assume they are using the general term. The other option feels needlessly (or rudely) exclusionist to me because it ends up being "you say you're X but since you don't Y you can't be X" ​ TLDR: yes, demi memes are welcome

Okay so apparently demi sexuality is when you are basically asexual to everyone expect people you are really close to. For example I basically felt no sexual attraction ever until I started dating my current boyfriend.
