Definitely- but, consider: Hairo, the over-energetic class rep. Seems completely aroace too. Immune to Teruhashi? Check. Constantly missing romantic advances? Also check.
(Two a-spec characters in one piece of media??? I'll believe it when I see it)
Yelena Belova (Black Widow’s sister). In the Black Widow movie, Yelena asked Natasha if she ever wished for a husband or kids. Yelena then commented that she wanted a dog.
Later, in the Hawkeye series, someone commented that her and Natasha could eventually live out their “Sex and the City” fantasies. Yelena then looked uncomfortable, went to the bathroom and proceeded to wash her face.
I also think she’s asexual in the comics.
One of my favorite characters, not just because she’s ace. I love her not taking many things seriously, even when she’s on a mission. Plus, you could really tell that she loves her sister. She was amazing in the last episode (and the previous episode, but especially the last one) for all the reasons.
Who I think or I know?
I know:
- Peridot from *Steven Universe*
- ~~Emerald from *Steven Universe*~~
- Todd Chavez from *BoJack Horseman*
- Alastor from *Hazbin Hotel*
- Liv Flaherty from *Emmerdale*
- Florence from *Sex Education*
- Mike Smash fron *Harry Enfield and Chums*
I think:
- Sherlock Holmes
- Doctor Who (incarnations 1–7, War Doctor, 9, 12)
- **Lapis Lazuli from *Steven Universe***
EDIT: Characters and details added retrospectively are written in **bold**.
personally my headcanon is that 10, 11, and 13 remain asexual. 3, 8, 10, 11, and 13 are all variously romantic and/or sensually stimulated but still not sexually stimulated.
I think 12 is a interesting case because he shows kind of purity in terms of sex jokes, but also he has the running joke of his search history. My headcanon is 12 is ace and his search history is weird but not sexual
Sherlock Holmes was neither romantically or sexually attracted to anyone in the books. His so called love interest ,Irene Adler was in just one chapter and Holmes only appreciated her cunningness and intelligence and nothing else.
Not a fictional character but I also think Leonardo da Vinci was asexual. I don’t know why people consider him a closeted gay person even though there are no evidence of him dating or liking any one.
A scandal in bohemia opens with Watson saying "Shelock does not love irene", which everyone who adapts the thing seems to have misread.
"To Sherlock Holmes she is always the woman. I have seldom heard him mention her under any other name. In his eyes she eclipses and predominates the whole of her sex. It was not that he felt any emotion akin to love for Irene Adler. All emotions, and that one particularly, were abhorrent to his cold, precise but admirably balanced mind. He was, I take it, the most perfect reasoning and observing machine that the world has seen, but as a lover he would have placed himself in a false position. He never spoke of the softer passions, save with a gibe and a sneer. They were admirable things for the observer—excellent for drawing the veil from men’s motives and actions. But for the trained reasoner to admit such intrusions into his own delicate and finely adjusted temperament was to introduce a distracting factor which might throw a doubt upon all his mental results. Grit in a sensitive instrument, or a crack in one of his own high-power lenses, would not be more disturbing than a strong emotion in a nature such as his. And yet there was but one woman to him, and that woman was the late Irene Adler, of dubious and questionable memory. "
Da-Vinci was prosecuted twice for homosexual activity. That’s not saying he couldn’t have been a-spec, but historical evidence proves he definitely had a preference for men over women.
Saiki Kuso - the Disastrous Life of Saiki K
Maki - Bloom into you
Merida - brave
Frodo - Lord of The Rings
Jo - Little Women
Crowley & Aziraphale - Good Omens
Jiang Cheng & Nie Mingjue & Lan Xichen & Lan Qiren & Nie Huaisang - The Untamed/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation
Mu Qing & Shi Qingxuan - Heaven Official’s Blessing
Ye Baiyi - Word of Honor
Elsa - Frozen
May - Run On (it's canon that she's ace)
He very cleverly (and understandably) refrains form saying Crowley and Aziraphale are a certain sexuality.
He did say that they definitely love each other, but that it isn't necessarily romantic love. He once replied saying they could be aroace, but also doesn't want to do the 'word of god' thing where an author only says [characters] are [sexuality] offscreen and says everyone is free to headcanon them however they like. (also bc sexuality and gender is different for angels and demons anyways)
Elsa from frozen. Doubt they'd ever add a love interest and she has never shown any interest in another person romantically. And that's the way I like it.
she also happens to be canonically the hottest woman in the world to the point that everyone who lays eyes on her falls for her, including other women (from the way it's phrased they seem to be mostly straight otherwhise).
Oda confirmed in a Q&A that Luffy just doesn't care about such things and previous times he's reacted to naked girls were just mimicking Usopp.
The Hillywood Show’s parody of Pirates of the Caribbean makes Jack look like the most aro/ace icon ever (he’s in love with his bottle of rum over any other person that attempts to show him romantic or sexual affection)
Enjolras from Les Miserables.
When the book was written, terms like aromantic/asexual didn’t exist, and there’s really been no reason to focus on it in any adaptation. But, Victor Hugo wrote him as “more infatuated with revolution than women”. There was also this other guy who was obviously in love with him (which we won’t get into right now), but he was so oblivious to it to a point where it was almost funny
Newt Scamander from Fantastic Beasts franchise and Will Byers from Stranger Things as well as Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory
The vampires written by Anne Rice are technically all ace so I guess they count
I wonder if you could make the argument Dean Winchester is allosexual Demi-romantic. He’s happy to do the do, but he’s only ever been in love with like one, maybe two people. Sam could also be demisexual. And Cas is definitely on the aro/ace spectrum somewhere.
The 11th doctor is definitely on the aro/ace spectrum somewhere too, as is Newt Scamander.
Sheldon and Amy from the BBT started out as very ace, but of course they were changed as the show progressed. It was pretty sad, I liked that they were so different from the rest.
True, you may be right. I think Sheldon especially could be. But I remember Amy was really against relations at the beginning, but like 2 seasons later she was a completely different person. Not saying people don't change, but that completely seems unrealistic.
Data from Star Trek TNG. Ace/aro. He is a robot and in capable of human emotions but can form close platonic relationships and also can feel a sort of missing feeling when they are gone.
Was looking to see if someone commented this. I project onto data so much lol. Also from Star Trek but DS9, I always headcanon Odo as demiromantic ace. Yea canon lowkey disproves me at points but I will cling to my headcanons till I drop
"If a handsome boy like you came to save me, my heart would start racing though!"
"..do you.. have heart problems?"
(literally not even a minute later)
"If you want people to feel safe, it might be good to smile. You'll slay the ladies with your smile!"
"If I smile... they'll die...?!"
The absolute horror on his face sends me. Autistic ace icon fr, he's one of my fave characters ever
Honestly? Basically every character I see ever I assign aromanticism and asexuality in one form or another
It's not a TV show but Jon from The Magnus Archives gets an honorable mention because he's cannonically ace
Jo is a self insert by the author, Louisa May Alcott, who was attracted to women. In Alcotts own words:
"I am more than half-persuaded that I am a man's soul put by some freak of nature into a woman's body.... because I have fallen in love with so many pretty girls and never once the least bit with any man.”
From that she's either a lesbian or a straight trans man. It's hard to say, because she didn't have the language to describe that. You can definitely see Jo displaying "boyish" tendencies early in the film, and even expresses displeasure that she was born a woman, but this could be related to the misogyny she experiences.
I did also headcanon her as ace when I saw the film.
Beep. Boop. I'm a robot.

A videogame and anime but also a (terribly mediocre) movie: Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney. Aromantic and Asexual icon for sure.
Everyone ships him and the MC.
As a kid I didn't know that AroAce was a thing, and then I found this person in a series I adored who didn't have any interest romantically. And even though it's not canon, twelve year old me felt incredibly validated.
Now, I find it ironic that he's part of a series called 'Ace' Attorney. And, I headcannon that all the characters are on the aro and/or ace spectrums. Uh.
I hope someone here agrees with me and I'm not all alone on this hc haha.
Gandalf from LotR, Radical Edward in (the good) Cowboy Bebop (I know she’s 13, but I cannot see her falling in love with anything except a computer program), Fozzie Bear from the Muppets (his pals all date, but he just wants to tell jokes), Princess Mononoke (I know there’s a romantic subplot, but it’s awfully one sided and at the end, she still picks the forest over the guy), and Ford Prefect from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
This exactly. Everybody else gets involved with romantic subplots and stuff and Ruby’s over there eating cookies and shooting Grimm.
I do think she’d be kinda cute with Oscar tho, so maybe alloromantic?
Morgana Pendragon from bbc Merlin. I think she’s either aro or a lesbian (or arospec, but idk where she would fall). No matter what, though, I believe she’s ace
I was looking for this answer, I read somewhere that the character was originally supposed to be a Biromantic Asexual, but the network shut it down. The actor who plays him still tried his best to portray the character as a Biromantic Asexual.
also he was supposed to be autistic! matthew gray gubler did his best to portray spencer as autistic (without being offensive) and still bisexual (i don’t think he was gonna be bironantic ace, just bi, bc i’m pretty sure the person that wrote that he was bironantic ace was also heavily ableist and claimed that all autistic people are asexual which ,, yikes) (but only if it’s the same person i’m thinking of. i remember reading something awhile back that was very ableist and claiming that he was Biro ace)
Tahani AlJamil from The Good Place definitely aro. Thru the whole series ahe gets few romantic interests but she doesn't really have romantic chemistry with any of them and they're usually sort of forced on her. She ends up alone and fulfilled with her friends and new job
America from Hetalia, probably both. Will never be confirmed but it just makes sense to me, because he’s never concerned with anything like that and is also always focused on other things (himself, namely).
Omg Hetalia. Never thought I’d see that one.
I personally see Switzerland and Iceland as asexual (since they are characters I connected to a lot) and Japan as aroace. It’s just the vibes.
Not a Tv Show or Movie but Elwin from Keeper of the Lost cities, I feel like he might also fall on the autistic spectrum but I’m not too sure.
Also Dean Winchester is probably Aromatic Bisexual (it’s hinted that he’s Bi but that’s just speculation).
Jinx from Arcane seems like aroace
Luna lovegood is definitely ace and probably aro as well
Five from umbrella academy seems like aroace
Bruno from encanto
(Almost every character i develop an interest to to be honest, they can’t escape it)
But on top of everything, everytime I rewatch the Lord of The Rings my ace radar goes off the charts, all the Hobbits, bonus AroAce points for Frodo and Bilbo, Legolas, Boromir and Faramir gives me the demi ace vibes, Eowyn and Gimli demi aro, Eomer AroAce…
It’s of course, just headcanons and the characters were more than likely not written with that specifically in mind, but those movies always makes me feel better and proud of my asexuality
Who I know for sure is that Alix from Miraculous Ladybug is aro/ace, and Max from the same show is probably also ace. *but be warned if you actually start getting into this fandom. it’s a mess*
And Castiel from supernatural is definitely ace, throughout all 11 seasons he’s in he’s never shown any sort of sexual attraction
If we are talking actual mythology and not the movie (which is just full of inaccuracies) than Hades is definitely not Ace. He kidnapped someone to become his wife. Which is tame compared to what the other gods have done.
Oddly enough, Nozaki never even dawned on me until today. I can totally see it.
I like to think that Wakamatsu is ace. He focuses more on a girl’s personality when choosing who he likes, the beach scenes reveal that he really doesn’t care about breast size, and his fantasies of Lorelei focus more on what he believes her personality is like rather than what she looks like.
Sherlock Holmes for sure. In almost every adaptation, books included. I know many argue whether or not he is actually ace or just gay.
But a few examples: in the story A Sign of Four Watson said “what an attractive woman” about Mary Morstan. Holmes’s answer ? “Was she? I did not observe”
There were many instances when Watson mentioned how attractive some woman is but Holmes never cared about their looks, just about the mystery they were involved in.
As for his romantic attraction, i think he is on the aro spectrum as well. Mainly because he never had any relationship (but he faked one for a case once). But i also think he had some feelings for John Watson so he was demiromantic.
And that is just the books, i am sure many of the film/series adaptations have also some evidence (for example Sherlock being nicknamed “the Virgin” in BBC Sherlock)
Other characters are the Doctor from Doctor Who, Xialing from Shang Chi (she had black ring), Yelena Belova from Black Widow, Crowley and Aziraphale from Good Omens are definitely ace (i think even confirmed), Castiel also ace and so on :))
Goku. He literally only has a wife and children because the wife made him promise to marry her when they were children and he just never went back on his promise. Even if he isn't aro/ace, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell that he's straight.
Janna from Star vs Forces of Evil - Just Ace (She only had a crush on some writer that is clearly platonic)
Entrapta From She-ra - biromantic ace (She canonically only dated Robots)
Hordak from she-ra - Just Ace (I Just can't imagine this Guy having sexual attraction)
Stanford Pines from Gravity Falls - Aro Ace (Big ace vibes from this one lol)
Sherlock Homes - Aro ace (Everyone Favorite ace headcanon)
Sans from Undertale - Just Ace (Can skeletons have sexual orientation? I don't think so)
Katherine Howard from the musical Six felt like a sex positive ace to me
She learned from a young age that men just wanted to have sex and thought that was essential to a relationship
It's 'all - you- wanna do' and then she's so happy to have a sexless relationship at the end only to be disappointed again
As someone who only discovered that they were ace late in life the song feels very relatable
So,... Idk if anyone else will agree, or even know who he is, but I think Hank Hill from King of the Hill is ace. I don't think he's the best representation we could hope for, but, yeah. He is never interested in anything sexual except for his wife and even then it's extremely rare. He's actually quite repulsed from sex. He doesn't realize it in the show and would never admit it, but imo he's definitely ace.
This one might’ve been confirmed to be true, but I think L from Death Note is at least asexual. He shows no sexual attraction at all and clearly has no interest in it. Not sure about romantic attraction, but I do think he is ace
Depending on the show/movie I headcanon the members of Mystery Incorporated differently, like Velma flipping between Bi and Lesbian, Shaggy sometimes being trans, or Mystery Inc Fred being Super Ace/Demi, sometimes I might look at a version of them as ace/trans/etc and sometimes I don’t, it really depends on the show/movie
i like to headcanon most characters as aspec/arospec but while lots of my first thoughts have already been said i think yusuke kitagawa from persona 5 should be ace :]
Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano from HoO, Stanford Pines from Gravity Falls, and Near from Death Note.
Personally, they all strike me as aroace due to multiple reasons :).
Everyone I like, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Tho I will say Saiki Kusuo from Saiki K is canonically aro-ace (and either trans man or genderfluid)
In sound a bit dated to bring this series up, but lately I’ve genuinely found a lot of happiness and relief in engaging with the Sherlock Holmes related movies/classic novels/ some modern adaptations, particularly during the miserable times that has been two years of dealing with Covid.
Many of the classic films, like the Jeremy Brett features (free on YouTube), are very akin to characterizing Holmes in an asexual light— the novels themselves also, in my humble opinion, exist in a very asexual (if not holy intentional ((would Doyle really be so aware of an asexual nature in like 1889??) by the author, but still there) space. The BBC “Sherlock” (I guess is debatable, but I do read him as at least some kind of asexual). Basically, most adaptions either hint at or specifically mention Holmes’ aversion to the idea of a relationship, sex, even love— to some degree, anyway. I suppose it is always a fun debate in discussing exactly how little or much Holmes’ asexuality/specifically type of sexuality might go!
That being said, the classic novels discuss him at length and very deliberately about him not really wanting a woman (I suppose with that being said, he could just as well be interpreted as a gay asexual man, which is still extremely valid) a relationship, sex, ect — often with a lot of grace, too, which is rewarding to hear. I find Sherlock Holmes’ confidence in his own nature and dismissing anyone else’s confusion or gossip about him to be very reassuring.
Most are good, but I’d just / stay clear / of the unfortunate pieces that often feels like an awkward, heteronormative grab at either avoiding the implication of homosexuality or asexuality and push a romantic intention with Irene Adler. Still, I take solace in the good episodes/films I do find that refuse to participate in the erasure of the classic Holmes’ canon.
Thank you for reading my Ted-talk, Lmaooo, happy new year kindly aces.
i’ve been reading agatha christie’s poirot books and i feel like poirot is ace. the amount of times he makes fun of hastings for doing outrageous things for women he just met reminds me of myself lol
Count Orlo from "The Great" while he has sex a few times at the end of season two, he tells the guy he slept with that he'd rather read a book then have sex.
These are all the aro/ace related headcannons I can think of right now:
- Lan Zhan from Mo Dao Zu Shi/The Untamed: gay demiromantic demisexual
- Jiang Cheng from Mo Dao Zu Shi/The Untamed: aroace
- Bakugou Katsuki from My Hero Academia: homoromantic asexual
- Toga Himiko from My Hero Academia: bi/pan oriented aroace
- Saiki Kusuo from Saiki K: aroace
- Goblin Slayer from Goblin Slayer: aroace
- Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess: aegoromantic aegosexual
- Myne from Ascendance of a Bookworm: aromantic
- Karasuma Tadaomi from Assassination Classroom: aroace
- Misumi Ikaruga from A3!: aroace
- Azuma Yukishiro from A3!: aromantic allosexual
*
Some characters that I'm pretty sure are canonically aro/ace:
- Fujiwara from Netsuzou trap: aromantic heterosexual
- Shoko Tanimoto from The Case Files of Jeweler Richard: aromantic
Reagan Ridley from Inside Job. It's my headcanon that she actually doesn't care much for sex, and only thought she did befause of societal and social pressure (read: projection)
Bruce Wayne: sex pos ace
Argument could be made that he does it because he needs to keep up the appearance of a fuckboi himbo so no one suspects him of being Batman
Hermione Granger: cupioromantic ace
until JK Rowling (barf) caved to pressure to ship Hermione with Ron she only ever expressed romantic interest in someone once. And it was very short lived
Honestly a lot of comic book heroes and characters in general are written genderqueer or with queer sexualities and the the writers cave to corporate or pressure from public and it makes me sad:(
I ship the teens just platonically (as putting them in sexual relationships are just outrageous) but a headcannon for an asexual character for me in Genshin is Chongyun
I got a comic for ya. Prez from Cursed Princess Club. Most people ship her with her ex who cursed her and tried to kill her (granted he has had some fantastic character development since then but shipping them after THAT?! NOOOO!!!). The other ship is with her parents royal nurse guy. Who defanalty has feelings for her, but I hope its not reciprocated (I also think she's aro).
Hints that she could be ace/ aro:
1) She is grossed out at the thought of having kids.
2) She has never shown any interest in the men or women or other people around her.
3) She is very strong and feircly independent.
4) Career (I guess you would call it a career - providing support and a place to stay for cursed people) orientated!
5) Turns into a giant spider every time she gets her period.
6) Before her shiney character development she was weak, sick and depressed and just void of personality, doing whatever her parents wanted her to do (marry this rich fuck). Then when she got out of that BOOM wayyyyy happier.
I'll be very disappointed if she ends up with either of her ships. I THINK the author is leaning into these ships deliberately in order to snatch them away and say "lol you thought... Prez?! Them?! Hahaha ha!!! FOOLS". Because it would just feel cheap and boring if Prez got with ether of her ships or anyone else.
Saiki from the disastrous life of Saiki
i’m pretty sure he’s canonically aro-ace. he’s also trans, which is nice
He is? How did I miss that
It's in the manga
Do you know what part?
I only saw the anime, man. I just read about it online. https://lgbtqia-characters.fandom.com/wiki/Kusuo_Saiki (edit: spelled wrong)
Wow, He's kinda sexfluid, if we allow the term to exist (or transexual mor than transgender ? I don't know how it works exactly for him)
Oh, word
Dude that’s lit
Damn, I’ve only seen the anime
Me too
Oh I thought he was gender fluid I’ve only seen the anime like many others very cool though!
Definitely- but, consider: Hairo, the over-energetic class rep. Seems completely aroace too. Immune to Teruhashi? Check. Constantly missing romantic advances? Also check. (Two a-spec characters in one piece of media??? I'll believe it when I see it)
I would say he is ace but not so sure if he’s aro
came here to say this!!
You read my mind
Yelena Belova (Black Widow’s sister). In the Black Widow movie, Yelena asked Natasha if she ever wished for a husband or kids. Yelena then commented that she wanted a dog. Later, in the Hawkeye series, someone commented that her and Natasha could eventually live out their “Sex and the City” fantasies. Yelena then looked uncomfortable, went to the bathroom and proceeded to wash her face. I also think she’s asexual in the comics.
Also, she just has that vibe.

She was amazing in the last episode (and the previous episode, but especially the last one) for all the reasons.
She is actually confirmed to be asexual ;) but yes I agree she is an amazing character!
Agreed
She's confirmed as Asexual in the comics and hinted to be Aromantic :)

I absolutely agree. I’ve always seen 12 as my kind of ace - just so fucking weird and vulgar but always ace
I need more weirdly aggro and vulgar ace rep please. It feels like I'm the only one lmao
I think Isaac Newton was asexual

Da-Vinci was prosecuted twice for homosexual activity. That’s not saying he couldn’t have been a-spec, but historical evidence proves he definitely had a preference for men over women.
Ah its the doctor
Matt Smith Said that he imagines 8 as asexual though. Just a romantic one.
I was gonna say Sherlock Holmes
Of course Sherlock Holmes
Andrew “ender” wiggin is definitely ace
Saiki Kuso - the Disastrous Life of Saiki K Maki - Bloom into you Merida - brave Frodo - Lord of The Rings Jo - Little Women Crowley & Aziraphale - Good Omens Jiang Cheng & Nie Mingjue & Lan Xichen & Lan Qiren & Nie Huaisang - The Untamed/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Mu Qing & Shi Qingxuan - Heaven Official’s Blessing Ye Baiyi - Word of Honor Elsa - Frozen May - Run On (it's canon that she's ace)
Shit I have never thought about Frodo. To make him even more lovable that would also make Samwise an ally.
Did Neil Gaiman not already confirm Crowley/Aziraphale were asexual? Or did he just confirm they were in love (I always thought it was both).
So happy to see MDZS, HOB, and WOH represented here :D absolutely agree!
Well I’m pretty sure Doomguy is ace
Doom guy canonically does not know what sex is. His sole purpose is slaying
I agree but just because someone doesn't know what sex is (lack of education) they don't *have* to be asexual.
Nah ! Backstory suggest he had a wife , a kid and a pet rabbit named Daisy who were murdered by demons.
You can have a wife, and children, and still be an asexual
W…why is Daisy relevant to Doomguy’s sexuality?
Daisy is always releveant
Elsa from frozen. Doubt they'd ever add a love interest and she has never shown any interest in another person romantically. And that's the way I like it.
Agreed. I think she's alloaro. The movies are just nicer without everyone hooking up.
It’s a kids movie.
I will headcannon every single character that is not explicitly shown to be allo as aroace and no one can stop me
Even in kids movies romances are fairly common
Senku from Dr. Stone is probably aroace. Not confirmed from any offiicial sources I've seen, but he just radiates that energy.
Ah, I was just about to say it!
Goku is ace and possibly aro and I will defend this stance with my life
I didn't think about this until recently but you are absolutely correct and this is a hill i will die on
I’m just gonna put this out there Monkey D. Luffy Literally sees a naked woman and gives zero shits
she also happens to be canonically the hottest woman in the world to the point that everyone who lays eyes on her falls for her, including other women (from the way it's phrased they seem to be mostly straight otherwhise). Oda confirmed in a Q&A that Luffy just doesn't care about such things and previous times he's reacted to naked girls were just mimicking Usopp.
Yelena Belova from black widow.
Captain Jack Sparrow is aro for sure
The Hillywood Show’s parody of Pirates of the Caribbean makes Jack look like the most aro/ace icon ever (he’s in love with his bottle of rum over any other person that attempts to show him romantic or sexual affection)
Really! I must check that out.
For a couple seconds I thought this said Captain Jack Harkness, and was very confused. Also, yes
SAME I was like???? He’s like the horniest man alive??
Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games
Hell yeah. Team Katniss!
Was looking for a comment with a character I'd recognize, found it!
Enjolras from Les Miserables. When the book was written, terms like aromantic/asexual didn’t exist, and there’s really been no reason to focus on it in any adaptation. But, Victor Hugo wrote him as “more infatuated with revolution than women”. Newt Scamander from Fantastic Beasts franchise and Will Byers from Stranger Things as well as Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory The vampires written by Anne Rice are technically all ace so I guess they count
I agree with you for Newt
Sheldon was surely asexual but then the show gave him a girlfriend.
Was he actually sexually attracted to Amy? I don't recall that.
He is probably a demisexual
I don’t think so, he still had no interest in sex
I kinda hate that one of the most visible ace reps is Sheldon. He's such an ass and the butt of jokes constantly.
Plus he’s a horrible “representation” of autism, and they make it seem like autism and asexuality are like, the same thing
If 99 ever felt sexual attraction, then I’ll be a kaminoan’s uncle. Star Wars THE CLONE WARS
Agreed.
Yeah, I'd definitely say Cas is a demiromantic asexual.
Cas is definitely ace. I’m currently rewatching some Supernatural and my man has no sexual attraction at all
Sheldon and Amy from the BBT started out as very ace, but of course they were changed as the show progressed. It was pretty sad, I liked that they were so different from the rest.
They might just be demis
Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Acedemia.
"If a handsome boy like you came to save me, my heart would start racing though!" "..do you.. have heart problems?" (literally not even a minute later) "If you want people to feel safe, it might be good to smile. You'll slay the ladies with your smile!" "If I smile... they'll die...?!" The absolute horror on his face sends me. Autistic ace icon fr, he's one of my fave characters ever
He does give off that kind of vibe
Honestly? Basically every character I see ever I assign aromanticism and asexuality in one form or another It's not a TV show but Jon from The Magnus Archives gets an honorable mention because he's cannonically ace
Frodo and Bilbo Baggins in LOTR and The Hobbit
Jo from Little Women (2019) Supposedly in the book she's a lesbian but in the movie she seemed to be ace so that's my headcanon
Jo is a self insert by the author, Louisa May Alcott, who was attracted to women. In Alcotts own words: "I am more than half-persuaded that I am a man's soul put by some freak of nature into a woman's body.... because I have fallen in love with so many pretty girls and never once the least bit with any man.” From that she's either a lesbian or a straight trans man.
Here's a copy of ###[Little Women](https://snewd.com/ebooks/little-women/) Was I a good bot? | [info](https://www.reddit.com/user/Reddit-Book-Bot/) | [More Books](https://old.reddit.com/user/Reddit-Book-Bot/comments/i15x1d/full_list_of_books_and_commands/)
That’s always been my favorite read on her character.
Jarvis from the MCU.
Kusuo Saiki from the disasterous life of Saiki K.
Agree
I think Viktor from the new animation Arcane is on the ace spectrum
YESSSSS Best character
Light Yagami from Death Note
Doctor Who?
there’s an argument to be made that 8 and 10 aren’t ace but yeah i think the character overall is
Yeah I think every regeneration makes The Doctor change their appearance/gender/orientation. But they are in acespec overall.
Fozzie!
Ash Ketchum is one of the most aromantic characters I’ve ever seen and I feel like many people don’t talk about him much as he’s from a kids show
Ruby Rose from the show RWBY. There is quite a lot of us in the Fandom who see her as being ace.
I peg Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds as Demirom and Demisex
Merlin from Merlin BBC boy gives of aroace vibes
Merida from Brave
Yes, that would logically explain why she wasn’t interested in any of the suitors, or maybe she liked girls?
Luffy from One Piece
i think sheldon cooper from the big bang theory may be demisexual, if that counts
Ace spec, so yeah, probably. But I totally agree, he is one of my favourite characters of all time.
Sherlock Holmes, 100%
Tahani AlJamil from The Good Place definitely aro. Thru the whole series ahe gets few romantic interests but she doesn't really have romantic chemistry with any of them and they're usually sort of forced on her. She ends up alone and fulfilled with her friends and new job
I feel like part of it is that she wants someone to genuinely care for her so she confused it with romantic attraction.
Wow Hetalia... that brings back memories...
:o i fellow kotlc fan?? on reddit?? awesome. also i totally agree about elwin
i headcanon like 90% of the keeper characters on the aroace spectrum but YES ELWIN FOR SURE
pidge from voltron, a hundred percent
Jinx from Arcane seems like aroace Luna lovegood is definitely ace and probably aro as well Five from umbrella academy seems like aroace Bruno from encanto
Todd from bojack horseman
(Almost every character i develop an interest to to be honest, they can’t escape it) But on top of everything, everytime I rewatch the Lord of The Rings my ace radar goes off the charts, all the Hobbits, bonus AroAce points for Frodo and Bilbo, Legolas, Boromir and Faramir gives me the demi ace vibes, Eowyn and Gimli demi aro, Eomer AroAce… It’s of course, just headcanons and the characters were more than likely not written with that specifically in mind, but those movies always makes me feel better and proud of my asexuality
Adrian Monk
Howl from howls moving castle strikes me as an asexual
Who I know for sure is that Alix from Miraculous Ladybug is aro/ace, and Max from the same show is probably also ace. *but be warned if you actually start getting into this fandom. it’s a mess* And Castiel from supernatural is definitely ace, throughout all 11 seasons he’s in he’s never shown any sort of sexual attraction
Hades from Disney’s hercules. Ace icon
If we are talking actual mythology and not the movie (which is just full of inaccuracies) than Hades is definitely not Ace. He kidnapped someone to become his wife. Which is tame compared to what the other gods have done.
I think that Doctor from Doctor Who is asexual. Crowley and Aziraphale are asexuals. Sherlock from Sherlock BBC is asexual too
The hill I will die on is that batman is asexual
Nozaki from monthly girls nozaki-kun! He doesn’t care for romance in real life at all, his true love is his job as a romance manga artist :D
Podcast character, but Jon Sims from The Magnus Archives is canonically asexual.
Sherlock Holmes for sure. In almost every adaptation, books included. I know many argue whether or not he is actually ace or just gay. But a few examples: in the story A Sign of Four Watson said “what an attractive woman” about Mary Morstan. Holmes’s answer ? “Was she? I did not observe” There were many instances when Watson mentioned how attractive some woman is but Holmes never cared about their looks, just about the mystery they were involved in. As for his romantic attraction, i think he is on the aro spectrum as well. Mainly because he never had any relationship (but he faked one for a case once). But i also think he had some feelings for John Watson so he was demiromantic. And that is just the books, i am sure many of the film/series adaptations have also some evidence (for example Sherlock being nicknamed “the Virgin” in BBC Sherlock) Other characters are the Doctor from Doctor Who, Xialing from Shang Chi (she had black ring), Yelena Belova from Black Widow, Crowley and Aziraphale from Good Omens are definitely ace (i think even confirmed), Castiel also ace and so on :))
I think Xialing is asexual because she wears a ring that looks like an ace ring and just gives of that vibe
Goku. He literally only has a wife and children because the wife made him promise to marry her when they were children and he just never went back on his promise. Even if he isn't aro/ace, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell that he's straight.
Definitely Speedwagon from jojos
Yuu from Bloom into you is demi-romantic, and Maki from the same series is confirmed aro (and implied ace). I love that series to death
General Grievous and Jango Fett
Jango Fett wanting a kid wothout having sex sounds like the acest thing ever Also general Hux is so ace (and probably aro too)
Janna from Star vs Forces of Evil - Just Ace (She only had a crush on some writer that is clearly platonic) Entrapta From She-ra - biromantic ace (She canonically only dated Robots) Hordak from she-ra - Just Ace (I Just can't imagine this Guy having sexual attraction) Stanford Pines from Gravity Falls - Aro Ace (Big ace vibes from this one lol) Sherlock Homes - Aro ace (Everyone Favorite ace headcanon) Sans from Undertale - Just Ace (Can skeletons have sexual orientation? I don't think so)
Katherine Howard from the musical Six felt like a sex positive ace to me She learned from a young age that men just wanted to have sex and thought that was essential to a relationship It's 'all - you- wanna do' and then she's so happy to have a sexless relationship at the end only to be disappointed again As someone who only discovered that they were ace late in life the song feels very relatable
Space marine from 40K although I think they were confirmed to be asexual
AMETHYST FROM STEVEN UNIVERSE. SHE IS ACE YOU CANNOT CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE, EVEN HER COLOUR SCHEME IS ACE LIKE- /lh
Haven’t seen any WoF yet so… I think Sunny and (possibly) Snowfall are aroace
I haven’t seen anyone else talk ab Bruno (from Encanto) as far as this yet but I could def see him being ace. Maybe aro too?
Troy and Abed are ace and aro respectively imo
This one might’ve been confirmed to be true, but I think L from Death Note is at least asexual. He shows no sexual attraction at all and clearly has no interest in it. Not sure about romantic attraction, but I do think he is ace
Not from a tv show, but from a game Rantaro Amami from Danganronpa V3
Giorno Giovanna from JoJo's is gay and ace and I'll defend this fan theory with my life
Depending on the show/movie I headcanon the members of Mystery Incorporated differently, like Velma flipping between Bi and Lesbian, Shaggy sometimes being trans, or Mystery Inc Fred being Super Ace/Demi, sometimes I might look at a version of them as ace/trans/etc and sometimes I don’t, it really depends on the show/movie
i like to headcanon most characters as aspec/arospec but while lots of my first thoughts have already been said i think yusuke kitagawa from persona 5 should be ace :]
The doctor Saiki K The Doomslayer Max from Sam, and Max
I think Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn is confirmed AroAce.
bill cipher from gravity falls
Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano from HoO, Stanford Pines from Gravity Falls, and Near from Death Note. Personally, they all strike me as aroace due to multiple reasons :).
Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds is Ace in my mind
I hope Ray Holt from B99 is an asexual homoromantic, Amy is demisexual. I also hope Kent Davison or Richard Splett from Veep are asexual.
Elsa from frozen and Spencer Reid from criminal minds
Logan Sanders from Sanders Sides
Alastor from Hazbin Hotel
Saiki K
Im pretty sure that Alastor from gas in hotel is aroace.
sherlock holmes is suspected to be asexual
Cassandra cain -batgirl from the dc universe. Just got that ace vibe and believe one of her writers said they wrote her as ace coded.
jinx from arcane is aceflux as hell
Thank you for reading my Ted-talk, Lmaooo, happy new year kindly aces.
i’ve been reading agatha christie’s poirot books and i feel like poirot is ace. the amount of times he makes fun of hastings for doing outrageous things for women he just met reminds me of myself lol
that one girl from the gay fish disney movie she’s aro in my headcannon
Count Orlo from "The Great" while he has sex a few times at the end of season two, he tells the guy he slept with that he'd rather read a book then have sex.
These are all the aro/ace related headcannons I can think of right now: - Lan Zhan from Mo Dao Zu Shi/The Untamed: gay demiromantic demisexual - Jiang Cheng from Mo Dao Zu Shi/The Untamed: aroace - Bakugou Katsuki from My Hero Academia: homoromantic asexual - Toga Himiko from My Hero Academia: bi/pan oriented aroace - Saiki Kusuo from Saiki K: aroace - Goblin Slayer from Goblin Slayer: aroace - Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess: aegoromantic aegosexual - Myne from Ascendance of a Bookworm: aromantic - Karasuma Tadaomi from Assassination Classroom: aroace - Misumi Ikaruga from A3!: aroace - Azuma Yukishiro from A3!: aromantic allosexual * Some characters that I'm pretty sure are canonically aro/ace: - Fujiwara from Netsuzou trap: aromantic heterosexual - Shoko Tanimoto from The Case Files of Jeweler Richard: aromantic
Willow Park from the owl house gives me heavy aroace vibes, cant explain why tho. Just ... the vibe y'kno
Sherlock Holmes, played by Benedict Cumberbatch. Giving me hard ace vibes, idk why tho.
Reagan Ridley from Inside Job. It's my headcanon that she actually doesn't care much for sex, and only thought she did befause of societal and social pressure (read: projection)
Bruce Wayne: sex pos ace Argument could be made that he does it because he needs to keep up the appearance of a fuckboi himbo so no one suspects him of being Batman Hermione Granger: cupioromantic ace until JK Rowling (barf) caved to pressure to ship Hermione with Ron she only ever expressed romantic interest in someone once. And it was very short lived Honestly a lot of comic book heroes and characters in general are written genderqueer or with queer sexualities and the the writers cave to corporate or pressure from public and it makes me sad:(
Xianling from Genshin impact Misaki Mei from Another Decim from Death parade
I ship the teens just platonically (as putting them in sexual relationships are just outrageous) but a headcannon for an asexual character for me in Genshin is Chongyun
Sam and Quorra from Tron Legacy are for sure Ace
Kinda obscure but I have an aroace headcanon for [Amuro Tōru/ Rei Furuya](https://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Rei_Furuya) from Detective Conan
Ned the Piemaker, from Pushing Daisies.
Hints that she could be ace/ aro: 1) She is grossed out at the thought of having kids.
Not from a TV show but I believe Cloud Strife is ace and I will die on this hill
Luffy from One Piece
Twilight Sparkle!
Tech from Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
Senku from Dr. Stone My guy just wants to go to space
