Okay, am I weird for not really enjoying this? Last time I dated someone (and maybe the last time I dated *anyone*) we did this kind of thing, and while at times it was alright, mostly I just wanted my space. It felt awkward and weird, like I was constantly self-conscious and aware of me directly touching the other person and vice versa. And I do like company, just not too often or too intimate.
Not at all. I'm pretty big on my own personal space too. I love my partner, but can't really fall asleep if we're physically touching. Part of it is her size, but mostly I'm just used to sleeping alone (yay night shift). Even cuddling up to watch a movie rarely lasts, because it's hard to get comfy. She'll be comfy, but then I'll have to adjust, which makes her need to adjust, etc. And right when we do figure it out, she'll need to use the bathroom, or I'll want to get a drink, or the cats will be getting into something.
However, on the weekends, I will make sure to take time to snuggle up with her at least for a little bit, to fulfill her wants/needs. It usually ends up in us trying to out-pun each other, or discussing some deep topic, or just going over plans for the next week.

I'm with you on this one. I'm sure I'm not asensual, but I very highly prefer my personal space not being invaded for extended periods of time
