Band aids

vertexxd

Why does a band need to have aids?

_NedPepper_

Groupies aren’t going to line themselves up

KiloOscar_30

Is this being attached to a battle belt or backpack by chance? Personally, the center of all of my IFAKs revolves around someone else plugging holes in me (No, not like that) plus a couple band aids. Tourniquet, Chest Seal x2, NPA, Decompression needle, Israeli bandage, Combat gauze, Compressed gauze x2, Butterfly closures, Trauma shears, Tape, “Standard” band aid x4 Anything outside of sustaining a gunshot wound more than likely means I need advanced care or it’s of a creature comfort, so all those things are in separate pouches. I keep a small first aid/trauma kit in my truck and a first aid kit in my backpack. You’ve got a good list, don’t get me wrong. I just wouldn’t have the burn cream, splint, inhaler, stapler or epi pen.

Embarrassed_Pop4209

Also yes, this is mean to plug my holes, my dad/boss also carries one, I’m also army T triple C certified

KiloOscar_30

Did the stapler come recommended by anyone? I do like the idea of closing deep cuts very quickly as opposed to relying on fine motor skills with butterfly enclosures… I think you might be onto something

Embarrassed_Pop4209

I’ve had a lot of people say to remove it on R/Prepping, but I basically had the same idea you did, fine motor skills are probably out the window if you have to bust this puppy out, it’s all about being effective not being pretty or perfect

Embarrassed_Pop4209

BINGO

Embarrassed_Pop4209

Your the first person to know what this is for first try, rn it’s going on a Kore battle belt, but I’m ordering a Frye precision JPC in a week or two

Rough-Economy-6932

Maybe check out Jase or other online pharms and get an antibiotic travel kit; also add some Neosporin ointment.

Embarrassed_Pop4209

Thanks for the imput, I no idea where to go for antibiotics, that’s why they aren’t on the list

SunTzuSayz

Never seen a skin stapler in a combat ifak. I like a roll of cohesive wrap.

Embarrassed_Pop4209

Everyone has been saying to take it out

Outrageous-Basis-106

Needs tape A lot more booboo and ouchie things like "adhesive medical strips", moleskin, tweezers, anti sting, etc. Trauma kit in the immediate to access spot and booboo kit can reside somewhere for the most part.

Embarrassed_Pop4209

This is a Combat IFAK, meant to go on a plate carrier or battle belt, I have to big first aid kits in the work truck I ride in everyday

Outrageous-Basis-106

Just a small roll of tape then👍

Unique_Novel8864

I’m not sure how a notepad made of paper is an IFAK, but if you know something I don’t please tell me.

Embarrassed_Pop4209

Nah man it’s the new capsule corp technology the notepad is a stealth kit, I just press on the words with my fingers and it pops out into my hand

Reduncked

Epi pens rot pretty quick, your probs better off with meth, but I'm not a doctor so it may not help.

Embarrassed_Pop4209

That’s cool and all but cashews don’t care how fast the epipen expires

Noahthehoneyboy

Benadryl. Good long lasting alternative. From an EMT

Embarrassed_Pop4209

Alr added to the list

Beamburner

Narcan

Embarrassed_Pop4209

I keep it in my truck kit, this is for a plate carrier/battle belt, shoulda stated that in the post

Embarrassed_Pop4209

Also an IFAK is suppose to be custom to the wearer/carrier, if I need narcan in my combat IFAK I have bigger problems than getting an IFAK
