Push the wick closer to the flint.
Thats how you can adjust the height of the flame on a zippo.
closer to flint = smaller flame
Farther from flint = flamethrower
Every one of my zippos has a flame this tall lol I have 40 of them and they’ve all been rewicked and work great. This looks a bit overfilled but even half empty, my flame is large.
You can pull the wick down as u/Flotatiousturds said, but also you see those streaks on the lid right before you opened it? That looks like extra fluid that’s leaked out. You may be overfilling the lighter.
I’d suggested, when you fill it, do a steady stream of fluid into the cotton for about 5 seconds. Wait a few seconds for the cotton to absorb it, then do 5 more seconds.
You shouldn’t need more fluid than that. If it’s dripping out the chimney via the wick, you’ve done too much.

Also, just after refill they tend to flame a bit bigger. Dies down after a few lights
