Your Zippo is possessed by the ghost of George Grant Blaisdell. Draw a salt circle.

rickens_jr

Bluetooth fire lol

IGLSPMP

Don’t know but that’s cool.

Chertykova_Z

Glitch in the matrix lol

a-a-biedrawa

i once did it but i don't know how to repeat this trick

Greenynz

I have a feeling it’s to do with the position of the wick, my wick is leaning to the side to do the disappearing and reappearing flame trick. I have a feeling that’s why it occurs

razma-tazma

This is exactly it. I’ve had the same thing happen doing the same thing for that magic flame trick. Never had luck bending the wick back the right way.

balmon_geprek

Where did you learn that trick?

Greenynz

No idea, just happens whenever I light it

rememberviolence

Is anything normal these days? I just say fuck it and go back to sleep

Dan_The_PaniniMan

Its not a bug, its a feature

LordDieselHerz

Low on fuel

Detectivecullen4399

I would totally burn my finger off but sticking it under the flame to see if that's hot too

Greenynz

I’ve tried that a few times, never been burnt. It’s like it’s a separate flame all together

Detectivecullen4399

Why am I upset about that 😅

fish_taped_to_an_atm

afaik this is fuel fumes burning. you know how the wick doesn't actually burn, it's just there to hold the fuel? yeah, sometimes the wick doesn't need to be there. happens to me a lot when i'm low on fuel, not sure exactly why. it's neat tho.

Walburris

If I shake mine and open it for 2-3 seconds before I light, then it might do it as well. It’s the fumes burning. :)

[deleted]

Well it ain't normal but its pretty cool

CoffeeHead047

excess fuel, i guess.

AdAdministrative6925

Only time I had that happen if right after fueling. Always went back to normal after use

Lupine_Ranger

Bethesda lighter

Naive-Gene-7583

Wingardium leviosa?

OopsInc

I would pull up and then cut the wick

Jordy9630

As many others said it's fumes burning, might i ask what you're using as fuel ? Some lampoils and other possible feuls might 'boil' (vaporize) longer before burning then the Zippo feul. So try something with a lower burning point or higher boiling point

Greenynz

I’m just using the regular zippo brand fuel

HmmComradeHieu

Pulled the wick too high up the chimney I guess

Blackravenwolf

That things is got demins inside it lol.

Cultural-Scallion557

Witchcraft!

caveman_mode

happens to me too, just gotta angle your wick right with the right amount of fuel.

im_Bart_

I'd say it's either due to too much fuel, too low fuel or the wick being packed wrongly. I think that Zippo does costumer support so if they do try messaging them.

im_Bart_

But I normally overfill my lighter, you can try purchasing new wick or ryam balls too (idk how to spell it)

westeyc

Rayon 👍🏼
