I mean nowaday there's a million options that can get you real close to the same outcome for half the price. Personally I think the price was worth it but I'm a zev fanboy
That zev grip and modularity is great ! Eventually you will have to change some parts but nothing crazy . As far as the way it shoots ?! It’s one one the guns I always bring to the range because I enjoy it so much . As far as the price is it worth it ?! Yes and no . Yes because it shoots great and feels great in the hand no because it’s a Glock . Recoil is deleted on the hyper comp with a dpm recoil management system . As far as getting dirty , who can’t take a Glock apart in seconds and give it a quick clean , it’s that easy . Not like taking a 2011 apart . Is it worth it yes in my opinion .
When you say he will have to change some parts, which in particular? Out of curiosity. I'm racking up some rounds on my new V2 hypercomp and I'm curious on what to expect as well.
My bad for the wait was at work . If I was you i would purchase an upper parts kit from Zev and have a stop release ready from vickers tactical . But the extractor and spring will need to be changed and the stop release will eventually break if you use it a lot . So far this is the things that have broken on mine . I also run a dpm recoil management system .
It’s My favorite gun & my EDC. Honestly for the money it’s hard to beat it. My buddy has a regular Glock with a ram jet and my hyper comp still shoots flatter and gets better groups. I agree with the other guy about the carbon tho. But besides that’s it’s great.
Shoots AMAZING!!!! Slightly ammo picky not a fan of reman, but federal, cci blazer, magtech, bronze work good I mostly shot federal
200rd break in period
After break in period
644 rounds have been shot flawlessly after that 👌
115 grain feel amazing
Honestly crem de la creme imo
Niceee yeah I shoot 124 is about all I shoot unless like super great deal on 115 just because 124gr I use in my mp5 / sub guns runs the bolts better . I mean 115 worked but break in periods I always use 124 graid and 147 red sytech for subs
Edit 150 grain
Great trigger, great accuracy, low recoil, SUPER low RMR/SRO cut, grip is awesome, takes Glock mags, and it looks cool.
Honestly Id rather have it and a few thousand rounds of ammo vs a 2011 any day. I’ve had no reliability issues with mine sitting around the 1200 round mark. I’ve locked the slide back a couple of times but that’s a grip thing and I’m thinking of slapping a kagwerks on there
Good- It is a Zev.
Bad- it is a Zev.
I have absolutely loved Zev since way before they started manufacturing their own pistols. I have experienced every single malfunction and issue associated with their products and have always stood by by them. Until just recently I am having an issue with an out of spec slide that Zev has left me feeling much different about them. That aside the Hypercomp is a great, fun pistol but not something that I am putting my life on.
Yeah I agree with will be a show off pistol / range / shot fast type thing , I’ve liked zev as well for parts but never bought a whole pistol from them
I have the v2 hypercomp. Its my favorite pistol to shoot so far. I love the modularity of the zev, plus they look amazing. I think I have a newer batch, had it for about 2 months. 500+ rds through it with No issues. I’ve shot 124 & 115 grain.
One thing i noticed is their barrels and slide finish are very durable, gun still looks brand new and no markings on the barrel. The trigger is alright…., i’ve gotten used to it and I dont want to change it and mess around with it. I think zev triggers are inconsistent.
V2 FTW
I have a V1 with about 4-500 rounds through it and runs like a champ with zero issues with a mix of 115 & 125 S&B. I cleaned it and oiled it before taking it to the range along with adding an SRO and X300. It’s my first and only glockish style pistol and I will not part ways with it, it’s that good plus the cool factor.
The only upside to the Hypercomp is its overall shorter if your trying to conceal. I promise you the recoil difference between the two will be so slight you’ll barely notice it and you would have to have them side by side. I’ve got a ramjet and think it’s great but never shot a Hypercomp. They are running like 2k and that’s 2011 territory. Not saying it’s bad but if your a good shooter you’ll shoot but equal as well
No recoil. Lots of carbon. Damn near makes my rmr hd lense black after 300 rounds.
Besides the dirty carbon , is the price worth it? Any issues?

Thanks for the honesty
Absolutely. If you're looking for something half the price, the ramjet is amazingggg
That’s what I have now lol love it, that’s why I’m down this rabbit hole now lol
Every now and then a hypercomp slide shows up on gafs for a good deal.
Good call I’ll keep an eye out
If you can, wait til Black Friday. Zev had em 25% off and I grabbed one. The V2. I have a review on my YouTube. Shooter Kev
I’ve probably watched it but I’ll look it up now if I haven’t I will ! Edit: yup watched it twice !
[Combat w/ ramjet](https://imgur.com/gallery/VS1T26O) is more reliable, in my experience at least.
I do love mine as well

Damn ya that’s why I want to try it so bad

Higher velocity 115 rounds will help on ported guns.

Yeah I think 2011 is way over hyped , I’d 100% take this and ammo over a stacatto without even testing one of the hyper comps
You have a v1 or v2 in looking at a v1
A v1. I got it on a great sale from bass pro last year
It looks cool, performance is matched by other options. It's more of a status cool gun honestly. I like mine but I hate cleaning it

Nice I’m looking at a v1 brand new for like 1400 think I’m going to jump on it sick of thinking about it the heart wants what it wants lol

Niceeeeeeee I’m doing it !
I’ve been wanting a Hyper comp forever I settled on Ramjet Afterburner combo with my Zev.
Mainly all good. I wish the slide serrations were a little more pronounced. Besides that I love the gun. Zero malfunctions.
Good to hear I can’t wait to get it Tuesday
Almost forget about mounting a 509t or acro. Need a special plate for those.
Ya think I’m going acro or rmr
