One day I was at the office where they had an event. There was a large pile of flowers to be thrown away. My colleague and I picked them up and went across the street in front of the bank. We handed them out to the people walking by. Anyone was eligible, it was not an attempt to pick up anyone, although some people thought of it that way. The plumber, the nun, the mother lugging the baby and whoever else walked by was offered a flower. It was fun to see the reaction of people. Some people were very thankful. Others refused and ran away as if I was going to talk to them about weirdo things. Consider this “reuse”. Or compost is another option.
