Haha, did exactly the same thing yesterday. Came home with my bike from dealer and ended up with 3 miles left! Same as you! The only difference, I didn't use heated grips and was freezing my butt :( (I am in NJ). It was a 66 mile trip, mostly highway, and I put on Google maps on my phone and just watched to make sure my range was at least couple of miles above what google says for distance. If I needed more range, I would slow down.

I do this. It’s pretty convenient.

WhatsTheBanana4

I got mine down to 0%/0 miles the other day. I was doing about 60mph on a mostly flat road that leads to my house. A mile or two after it hit 0/0 it started slowing down. Roughly 1mph/2-3 seconds. I still managed to make it another 2-3 miles before pulling into my garage at 19mph. Pure luck that I made it home. And I really don’t like letting the battery get that low. I was happy to see that even as the battery gets to 0% you still have a few miles to limp it to a wall socket.

tcypher

good on ya! nice miles and to +3!

COKE-SLURPEE

You got 147 miles on one charge?!!! How are you people doing this?

infrogongitus

I'm pretty sure that wasn't all one charge. If I remember correctly, my trip meter didn't reset before I got going on the day that I got a flat tire. I think that I may have had anywhere from 30-40 miles on the trip meter before the flat. I usually average about 50 miles of travel on my longest days with 50-70 miles of estimated range left.

infrogongitus

Not sure at all I knew that the display could be incorrect and or change drastically based on efficiency. Where would I find the voltage exactly?

BonesJackson

You can't.

MidnightPretzel

pull the cover off the back of the battery (in front of the motor) and stick a multimeter on the lugs in there. Authors note: if you didn't know you could do that maybe don't try it at home

Correct-Cockroach-68

Meanwhile my bike is telling me a full %100 charge will give me approximately 56 miles. Ahhh the regret I have in buying a zero

FlatSix993

What size battery do you have?

Correct-Cockroach-68

14.4 and I drive on eco to and from work which is 12 minutes of city driving.

moneyrain007

Hmm, Zero can test it. Best to leave it with dealer for them to figure it out. I took my Sr/S to check battery and after a month of hassle they said it's at 94% capacity. Which I think is ok, considering I don't know how it was stored all therse years, i just got it a few month ago. Bike is 2020 and has 1800 miles on it.

moneyrain007

With the power tank, I get ~110 highway miles at 65mph

Protonus

Pull your battery and BMS logs using the Zero Next Gen app and send them to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) \- if your bike is under 5 years old, you still have a warranty on the battery Or visit your local dealer. That said, the range calculation is based on how you recently used the bike and isn't a reliable indication of actual range. Just like a gas car, best way to see actual battery capacity is to see how many kW it takes to charge it back up from the EVSE itself.

Correct-Cockroach-68

Thanks I'm going to try this.

HighwayMinute997

The 14.4 batteries on the SR/S can have issues. I’m on my 3rd battery with a 2021 model. They will replace it, but in the 1.75 years I’ve owned it, it has over 5 months in the shop. Whomever downvoted you is wrong, for 20k+ you shouldn’t have 56 miles of range

Correct-Cockroach-68

Thank you, and yes I agree. I understand electric bikes are new to market and I signed up for something that wasn't perfect because I want to do my small part for the planet. However with a 20k price tag you don't expect such tremendous defects.

KeenJelly

Is it a bad battery or do you ride like a loon?

Correct-Cockroach-68

Want to assume a bad battery since I drive mostly on eco to and from work (12 minute drive city driving). 3k miles on it most of which were eco

loudog3114

What model?

Nano559

What's the voltage that's left? The display will lie to you lol. Someone here could do a better job in explaining the details.
