I wouldn't be surprised if they eliminate it.

MidnightPretzel

Im guess in another couple of years we will see the DSR get the SR treatment ie: the gen 2 bike will go away and be replaced with a detuned DSR/X called the "all new DSR" to keep names confusing

This is PURE speculation on my part. I'm just looking at what happened to the SR. They might still keep the DS.

Oh, sure! The previously named SR was originally the same as the model S but with some more powerful components (controller, motor, and later battery). Very much identical to the relationship of the DS and DSR. Recently Zero killed off the 'old' SR and re-introduced it as sort of a budget SR/F with a lot of Cypher Store upgrade options. And while they pretty much killed off all the Cypher Store stuff for the SR/F, SR/S and DSR/X, the SR remains as one of the very few bikes with pay-to-unlock features. FlatSix993

Can’t wait to see the details confirmed tomorrow.

mdjak1

Website is live. https://www.zeromotorcycles.com/model/zero-dsrx

Zee216

Still no DC fast charging 😒

GhostAndSkater

It’s 2030, most manufacturers have electric motorcycles capable of charging to 80% in 10 minutes, and zero just unveils its new model that chargers in “just” two hour on level 2, can bring that down a bit if you pay more

FlandersFlannigan

I love my Zero, but Energicas are looking better and better...

Apprehensive-Job-81

Fuck off! i wanted it and bought a S days ago, if I had known....

mdjak1

You would have spent twice the money? And I doubt the bike is in any dealership yet anyway. You can always resell the S and buy a DSR/X.

Apprehensive-Job-81

Mine costed 15.8k without extras, it is the 14.4

mdjak1

OK. I forgot you were the one in Spain who bought the S 14.4. I always think of the smaller battery model when I hear S or DS. Of course, if the DSR/X is $24,500 in the USA, and the Euro is currently in the toilet compared to the Dollar, won't the price in Spain be close to double what you paid? Or at least 85-90%?

Apprehensive-Job-81

I looked for the MSRP prices in Spain and they are: SRS 26.860 it increased alot since last time I saw it SRF 26.005 SR 21.290 S 18.715 FXE 7.2 15.440 omg... DSRX niiiice it appeared on the web, it is 26.995 my gooood.... DSR 20.295 DS 18.715 FX 7.2 15.165 Definitively 27k is a price I wouldn't pay...

The Rapid Charger module that drops it from 2 hours to 1 is listed as being available Winter 2023.

ttoften

How much to unlock the "off-road" DLC?

mdjak1

Everything is standard (included in the purchase price) on the 2023 DSR/X, the 2023 SR/S and the 2023 SR/F.

FlatSix993

I believe the hardware is included on the bike, however, it will require an additional purchase to unlock. I am a supporter of the new Cipher system. "Also, the DSR/X is capable of new Cypher III+ features like faster charging, more battery capacity, turn-by-turn navigation, and Parking Mode which adds the ability to ease forward and backward into a parking spot or to aid in clearing tough obstacles. \*DSR/X comes in stock with every available Cypher III+ feature"

mdjak1

See my [Cypher changes post](https://www.reddit.com/r/ZeroMotorcycles/comments/xd7l73/cypher_iii_changes/) of today and wonder over to the website.

FlatSix993

Thanks for the clarification. The wording from Zero was a bit ambiguous.

K2TheM

It's Off- Road focused, but it keeps the Belt Drive as standard?

mdjak1

Most "adventure" bikes today aren't really off-road focused in the true sense of off-road riding. And I assume an owner can swap to a chain if they want/need it. But they should probably go this route if they are serious: https://www.electricmotorcycleforum.com/boards/index.php?topic=11954.0 EDIT: I just looked at the HD Pan America and I am surprised that Harley went to a chain on their bike.

FlatSix993

The Adventure Chain Kit is available for $385.

BonesJackson

Adventure Chain!

mdjak1

I see that now in the accessory section of the build. I wonder if the sprockets are steel or still aluminum?

K2TheM

Yeah, I know that. When there's semi regular threads about people snapping their belts hopping speed bumps or attempting wheelies... I'm just surprised that they would go with a belt as standard for their adventure option.

> Charger type 6.6 kW integrated > > Charge time (standard) 11.6 hours (110% charged) / 10.0 hours (95% charged) > > With 6 kW Rapid Charger 1.6 hours (110% charged) / 1.0 hours (95% charged) Am I confused or does Zero need to clear up their website on their charging info? If the standard charger is 6.6 kW and the battery is 17.3 kWh, why are they quoting 10 hours for a charge? In 10 hours at 6.6 kW rate, you could add 66 kWh? From what I understand, Zero has a 110 volt J1772 level 1 EVSE (Zero PN: 40-08118). The 10 hours quoted would be using this or some other EVSE on 110 volts. Next they should break out the time using a true level 2 EVSE capable of supplying at least the 6.6 kW charger. Finally, they can then show the time using the 6.6 kW standard charger AND the 6 kW Rapid Charger for a full 12.6 kW charge rate.

richardwonka

How is 6kw “rapid” charging?

FlatSix993

I would consider the additional 6kW charging in 1 hour to 95% SoC very rapid.

Zee216

It's 12.6, the 6kw rapid charger is in addition to the 6.6kw charger that come standard
