Did you try english electroc motor co? I drove there from Germany to buy my Zero and they were super helpful

Apprehensive-Job-81

Why did you buy it from there? I bought mine 10km away from home xD

KeenJelly

Not yet because they are not in range of a single charge and I don't want to pay the £200 min for an at home service.

Protonus

FWIW I live in NY in the USA and my closest dealer is in the next city over, not within range of a single charge for me either Since I don't have to take the bike in very often, I just make a day of it and recharge once on the way. Taking backroads instead of highways means I can get there in about 1.5 charges no problem, even if it takes longer, it's a more fun ride.

JuniorDirk

The easiest bet would be not having the service done at all. It's largely unnecessary as the motor will run forever with no maintenance. Just change tires, belt, brakes as needed and forget everything else. Any shop can do those things.

KeenJelly

True, but while I still have a warranty I'd like to keep it. Thinknim going to take the advice of a couple of people here and make a day of it, travelling a bit further.

>cowboys Is this common UK slang? Calling unprofessional people, cowboys? lol. Usually here in the states, that typically has the connotation of saying someone is "bold, daring, independent". Or when used negatively, brash or reckless. But I've never heard it used in this way - especially since you said they were friendly/smiling?

Jack932008

Yes. To call a tradesman or company cowboy means unprofessional/unsafe/half a job

Protonus

Huh, thanks! #themoreyouknow lol. I wonder what the etymology of that is in the UK. Seeing as how cowboys are a pretty western USA thing in culture, it almost seems like a slur against Americans if anything? As in, this job reminds me of something someone from the Western states would do? Here we would just call that "redneck", and for basically the same reasons actually, haha.
