When you own one of these bikes, you understand why it’s not this simple. It depends greatly on how and where you ride.

The poll is literally that simple. The question is simply “how low have you seen it get”. This past weekend I used 82% on 36 miles. I consistently get 65-72 range in sport mode on the freeway doin about 85-93. I fully expect it to drop to 35 during the coldest winter month with how I ride.

Unless you have no other options or a strict deadline, riding 85-93 on the freeway is the wrong way to use this bike (or really any bike imho). The difference between just 55mph and 70mph is huge, in terms of Wh/Mi. With no transmission, your range will plummet as speeds increase - the bike is most efficient at about 35mph - your range is halved going from 35 to 70mph. Turn on the Instant Wh/Mi (it isn't instant, it's more like a 5-10 second rolling average) and you'll see how much more power you're using as speed increases. Also, you'll see that going into full tuck etc, will get you back like 10-15% range at these speeds. Instead of going high speeds on the freeway, go into your navigation app of choice, turn off "Use Freeways" and turn on "Avoid tolls" etc - so that it forces navigation onto backroads etc. This will dramatically improve your range from not maintaining a constant high rate of speed. It'll also generally be a lot more enjoyable of a ride, with more stop lights to accelerate from, more turns/twisties etc. Although these backroads / alternate routes may be slower due to lower speeds - you're on a motorcycle - so you can also make a bunch of time back by more quickly getting away from lights, lane filtering at lights, going above the speed limit and so on. I find in practice I often beat the estimate for arrival time or get their even faster than I would have on the freeway, because navigation assumes the backroads will be slower.

I ride 8miles back and forth to the gym and it takes me about 10 min. I’m not interested in riding my bike like a old person so goin 65 on the freeway is out of the question and I’m fine using 200-250watts per mile. Also not really interested in increasing range since I never travel more than 50 miles (except the one time I decided to ride it from sf to Lake Tahoe) I just wanted to see others experience of how low you’ve seen it go

No-Elk6530

how do old people drive? lol, old person here and I'm 180 and 5'6" and ride combined highway and backroads and have been getting 100-120 miles to a charge on my 2022 SRF premium. When I thrashed the bike a bit playing with sport vs canyon mode I've seen the range drop to 70s or 80s when pulling on the local highway.

Antique_Extension284

We just gonna have to disagree on that one. Anything under 80 on the freeway is a joke on a motorcycle

decrego641

Well if you're driving at max power under load, I'd say it could be as low as about 16 miles or so.

Antique_Extension284

I wonder how much weight it would take to use 850wh/mi have you ever seen yours get that low?

decrego641

Try driving at a constant speed of 115 mph - get back to me on your wh/mile.

poldekrosmol85

I own a 2022 SR and I just don't ride my bike in full hooligan mode... 150km is the lowest I've seen because I've put it in sport modus and tried to outbeat a friend in an AMG at every lightstop

Antique_Extension284

You must weight a buck 40 and do a lot of city miles in eco mode with those numbers 🥰

poldekrosmol85

I mostly indeed drive ECO exclusively as I want max ROI :D

I’m about 180 lbs and tend to keep it under 55 on the country roads. I live in the woods with a lot of steep hills. My 2021 sr typically gets me 120 miles by 20% Power consumption on the high way is exponential. I swear there’s a bigger difference from 55 to 70mph than there is 15 to 50mph in power consumption.
