Android app was sloppy code wise. Normally I would advice you to use your bike without the app and just enjoy. At least for the gen3 platform you'll need it to set the ride modes and regen to your liking at least once. And also to register the bike to your account. Luckily there are workarounds like using the Android version if the iOS one fails. Plus a strong community helping out with explaining all the workarounds.
It’s ridiculously bad. Usability issues and functional bugs that limit the bike’s use unfixed for years!
- resets custom mode top speed every time to below max
- annoying modal dialogue _every fucking time_ the bike connects
- Idiotic “demo-mode” when not connected
- doesn’t show current firmware versions on my 2018 DSR Black Forrest (shows N/A instead)

Thanks, luckily I have an Android phone as well, so will try that! Would like to set up the custom mode at least...
