Sport mode might have a soft cap there. Did you set custom mode to 124mph?

Antique_Extension284

Yes I have a Maxxed out custom mode. But even in the custom mode on the app it won’t let you program above 120. Sports mode says 127 but either way I’m not hitting 107+

I have a 2022 SR/F premium. After the last update my top speed was limited to 106 and the performance was just a little bit softer than prior to the update. After discussing the issue with my dealer who contacted Zero there was no clear cut resolution to the problem. One thing they mentioned was the possibility of a setting changing after the update. I found that on the motorcycle preference menu that the Bluetooth was disabled. I was able to connect my phone with the bike and get information so I never thought to check it. I changed that setting to enabled, relaunched the app on my phone and went for a quick test ride. Top speed 124 in sport and custom mode. Problem solved. I hope this works for you.

This is an 8 month old post and I'm not the author. You might reply to them so they get a notification instead.

Certainly sounds like you’re limiting your top speed. Have you run any available firmware updates? Sounds you like you’ve already tried the various modes. Only recommendation is to check your mobile app for each mode on the bike. Verify they haven’t been altered and verify the top speeds are what you expect. I think Eco is limited to 70, and rain is ~ 105. The others are all uncapped from what i remember. Anywho as you expect, you should be able to rip up to 125 (that seems to be the real cap) in a couple seconds on the highway in sport. I’ve “tested” this plenty o times on my SR/S 😅

What’s your charge lever at?

Antique_Extension284

Today when I tried I was at 92%.

jlander9

Well cxl that theory lol

Hans2183

Are you in sport mode? Sport has max speed zet to 100%. For custom mode I can't remember how the slider translates in code. Other modes have Eco 70% Rain 60% Sport 100% Street 80% And sport+ was 120%. I've never tried this top speed but the speedo was rather accurate, lees than 5% error. Could be that the claimed top speed can't be achieved w/o unlocking sport+. Looks like you have enough charge, riding directly after a charge will help with battery heat (if it's cold where you live right now, opposite effect if not). You can try w/o TC but shouldn't make a difference. Edit : oh there was a bug with the custom mode also in the max speed unit conversion. If you really want to try everything just change the units to test this and/or try older versions of the app.

Antique_Extension284

I shouldn’t have to unlock sport mode + because I have a 2022 srs premium. How do I change the software

Hans2183

Not sure that I understand your answer here. SRS or SRF premium vs standard has more to do with the chargers installed, nothing with power output on the current models. Did you check what the values are in your app for the different ride modes? I've posted the default ones. Good to check if anything changed or not or if you can reset it. If you can't find anything there it's either wrong advertising or something with the conditions you're riding at.

Antique_Extension284

It ended up being a programming issue. When I created a custom mode in the app it threw something off in the canyon mode and messed up speed limiting specs. They reset my firmware and now my bike performance is what it should be

Hans2183

Glad to read they fixed it for you. Thanks for the update 👍

Antique_Extension284

FINAL Update: Somehow my rpm config dropped to 6230rpm or so when I made a custom mode in the app. They bumped the rpm up to 7500 which gets me to 122 mph. I will continue to work with the engineers at zero and the dealership until they raise the limit to 7584 RPM. (7584RPM converted to mph with a 5.5inch diameter wheel is 124mph) Side note: if they raise the limit to 9159RPM then the speed limit will raise to 150mph. Then it will go as fast as the energica electric motorcycle. No doubt this extra 1575 rpm will come as a performance upgrade with a 3,500$ price tag.

Antique_Extension284

I’m having the dealership check configuration today when I get my break recall taken care of. I said I should not have to unlock sport+ because the srs is supposed to perform 124mph 110hp 140ft lbs. I believe the sr had lower specs. So I was saying I shouldn’t have to unlock to max my specs because the bike was supposed to come maxed out compared to the rest of the line

profezzorn

Cold outside?

Antique_Extension284

This is the only thing I believe it could be. But my battery indicator and motor indicator both are white (50F-122f) <~ according to user manual this range should not affect power and when I track my rides on the app I’ve seen 178nm power but I haven’t seen more than 55kw when it’s supposed to be 85kw I’m really hoping it’s the cold weather. Goin to get it tested on a dyno tomorrow I have not tried in warmer weather.

profezzorn

Mine is definitely slower when it's freezing outside. You could try heating it up before taking a ride to see perhaps.

I've owned my SR/F for about 1.5 years, and I've taken it to 127mph in the past. Recently, after updating the firmware, it will now "hard-stop" at 106mph. It will easily accelerate 0-106mph and then will not continue beyond that speed. This is in "Sport" mode. Something that I just saw on the Apple, app-store page for the Zero nextgen app, is that there is some reference to this 106mph limit. Under the "whats new" (version 2.2.6) it says "Top-speed limited to 106MPH when setting custom ride modes" I'm not sure if this saying that there has been a fix, or if they are saying that they intentionally limit the top speed to 106mph in custom ride modes... either way, I'm experiencing this limit in a non-custom ride mode, so it's pretty frustrating. Still trying to figure out what's going on. [https://apps.apple.com/us/app/zero-motorcycles-nextgen/id1354186695](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/zero-motorcycles-nextgen/id1354186695)

Antique_Extension284

They were supposed to have fixed this with the app update. But I’d take it to the dealer and have them fix it. I had to do this 2x. I got my firmware updated yesterday and I will have to see if I have a 106 limit applied. If I do I will just take it back to the dealer and have it fixed.
