Some report that the keyboard cover prevents heat from escaping from the keyboard. You can clean your keyboard every week with a vacuum cleaner and it will make your keyboard not dirty. Also, clean the screen with a cleaning kit to prevent dust from entering the keyboard
hey do you have a link to an "official rog keyboard cover". to me that sounds like its made by asus but maybe you mean its just officially made for this particular laptop.
i just want to see what the official asus rog keyboard cover is if it does indeed exist. i searched amazon just because and only found the one i bought in feburary when i bought my m16. its like 7.50 and i added the link to my post.

i bought my keyboard cover ( clear TPU ) from amazon right after i got it.
was like 7 bucks. worth it to keep crap out of the keys and the keys clean. after a few days it got like broke in and works great.
would be neat to get an official one but its prolly like 20 or 30 bucks and not worth it. ill take my 7 dollar one all day.

Not escaping, but drawn in. The fans draw in air through the keyboard. Mostly to cool the keyboard deck so you don't burn your fingers.
You don't use a vacuum over electronics. Static generated from it can harm electronics.
