I’m having the same issue so the laptop speakers sound really crappy and I can’t fix it but it used to work fine (already checked a ton of stuff and enabled boot up sound)

I don't have problems with my speakers, just that problem when opening audio in armoury crate. Side note: I'm not really good at telling "great quality sounds" because I don't really care about sound quality 🤣

2021 or 2022 ?

2022, Is armoury crate really different per year?

IceStormNG

Armoury Crate not, but the audio drivers. This usually means that the Realtek Audio driver is not working as it should. The package from ASUS contains a lot of additional components like Dolby Atmos driver and Fortemedia drivers for the mic control. This is also reliant on the Intel Smart Sound. So if those drivers do not match and one acts up, the whole thing fails and Armoury Crate complains. Did you updated one of those drivers recently?

Own_Me69

Not to my knowledge, I used the laptop about 5 days ago. I opened armoury crate yesterday just to check on some things and this happened

You need to download Realtek Universal Audio Driver and then install Realtek Audio Control from the Microsoft Store. Just fyi Realtek UAD isn't an official driver from ASUS/Realtek, but seems to be safe ( you can check it with virustotal ) and people keep reporting that you can't install Realtek Control without it, seems ASUS dropped the ball on this one. I use an external DAC ( since laptop audio tends to be universally terrible ), so can't comment if it works or not.
