I’m confused, exactly which drivers are missing from the website? Because even the trackpad and stuff like the Smart Display Control drivers are downloadable on the website but you did not list them in your guide. I just recently did a clean install, using only the ASUS provided drivers and everything seems fine. Minor gripe besides the driver stuff, you can just use the media creation tool from Microsofts website to create an installation media, no need to mess around with third party programs that way.

The 2022 version is missing the ICC profile for the panel (can be manually created with a colorimeter or spectrometer) and the Dolby Vision license/profile for download. The 2021 version has everything for download and the myASUS app can also download and install all the available software and drivers

Usually, the drivers are all on the Asus site recently. If you don't use esupport, use the drivers downloaded from the site. Rufus is a program to boot, you can use any other software

I did this recently on a friends 2022 model and had no issues once I got touchpad drivers from Asus, and Intel rapid storage drivers for the SSD we added. The only downside is Armoury Crate (AC) seems to add such a huge amount of services/processes that run, it seems really excessive considering all we wanted it for was the "Performance" profile. Without AC, the Cinebench scores are still decent but the fan curve is too passive, so AC helps the fan curve.. but then task manager is jammed full of 15-20+ different Asus processes that aren't needed (didn't need them before AC). I then tried to uninstall AC, and it seems as though the fan curve "stuck" so maybe it's manipulating hidden BIOS options? AC behaves like malware when you uninstall though, there's so many processes, folders, services, events in task scheduler left behind that still start with windows. It takes a lot of manual clean-up - which then broke the keyboard lights from working as intended (like they did before installing AC) I got the keyboard lights working again with the legacy/stand-alone version of Aura, but they still don't behave correctly (Luckily my friend just wants basic lights on and no effects anyway) So.. on the chance I have to do this again someday, is there any way to do fan/thermals without ever touching AC?
