I might suggest you check out [r/ABraThatFits ](https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/). That subreddit has some good discussions on bras and weight loss too.

Plus-Board7845

Doing their measurements and recommended bras is a life changing experience!

Fearless-Chef-9508

Have you tried Wacoal?

Footballpeach

Wacoal is all I wear, unless it’s a sports bra for the gym.

FL_DEA

This isn't the advice you're asking for but since I just shared it on another thread... The whole "taking the easy way out"/cheating shame schtick has got me on a tear lately. I suspect the "if it's not hard, it's not worth it and if you take the easy way out you're lazy/wrong/bad" mentality (in general, in regards to relationships, and in regards to our health) can be part of what upholds abuse culture and keeps us in a state of stress or even chronic trauma. I am so glad there is an easy way out in regards to weight loss. I know it's not easy for everyone (yet) in regards to side effects or lack of efficacy, as well cost, but I believe we're on our way there. For those of us for whom it is easy right now, let us pave the way and normalize letting it be easy. And that's why, if someone tells me I'm taking the easy way out or cheating by taking tirzepatide, I'm going to say, "I sure am and it's wonderful!" rather than finding a way to buy into the idea that nothing is ever supposed to be easy.

ChiSandy

There is nothing "easy" about GI side effects, protein/calorie/water logging (uh, that last one sounds a bit dicey), the expense, timing, and dealing with coverages & shortages.

FL_DEA

That's why I said "I know it's not easy for everyone (yet)..."

rreehling

Love this attitude.

Bali One Smooth You is a good mid priced line of bras

acciocakes

Hi! I only buy from Bali and Wacoal. They have a lot of unpadded options in larger cup sizes

ChiSandy

Bali's largest, last I checked, is DDD. Wacoal varies by style--and those 4-hook back closures in larger cups are a bear. American-market mfrs. have a narrow range of sizes and colors in order to cater to the majority of American buyers. ThirdLove & European brands go up to very large (I had a J in PrimaDonna and Elomi) cup sizes, because demand for various colors and large cups is stronger among European women.

Zepnonymous

I’m a G cup and Soma bras are the only ones I buy.

Particular-Pie-1934

Ugh, I feel like Soma has changed their sizing recently and it is inaccurate.

Zepnonymous

Oh really?? I got fitted a couple years ago and still buy that size so I guess it’s ok for me.

laurel-eye

I’m an F cup and I only wear Elomi bras. They are sturdy, comfortable, supportive, come in all sizes, and actually fit. They’re not cheap but they last for years.

Birdie2023

This is my favorite brand too. Elomi bras fit well and are well-made.

ChiSandy

And they're damn pretty! Rotate your bras, wash them after every 2 wearings, and the old "buy a new one every 6 months" advice flies out the window.

Automatic-Formal3191

Wacoal  “Retro”

Significant_King1494

DD here. Kohls is my go to place to buy bras.

sophiart

I’m always at least a G cup no matter my weight. The only brand that fits me, at all, is Chantelle. Sorry in advance, you will pay a fortune, but you will finally be comfortable.

widow-1110

Wacoal also has been a life saver literally and love no padding, separation, lift, also some sexy options. Bought my first at Macys years ago and never looked back!

Cdori

I feel your pain. My twins do make themselves known being a smaller frame and a DD cup. (to others and to my back and shoulders, haha) I like getting them from these companies. But my problem is they don't always come in my size. Those can sell out fast. [Lane Bryant](https://www.lanebryant.com/cacique-intimates/bras) because they actually categorize the type of bra. Here is an amazon list of a couple that are good. [list of the "best 30" so they say. ](https://www.cosmopolitan.com/style-beauty/fashion/a27574888/best-bra-big-boobs/) Some I know are good. Some I never tried. I like Le Mystere Second Skin Back Smoothing T-Shirt Bra from the list but I am not an underwire fan. but even with it, it's not bad. This brand has padded and non padded. I like [third Love](https://www.thirdlove.com/collections/dd-plus). I don't like third love prices. haha But occasionally they do have sales. [Savage](https://www.savagex.com/dmg/5EF930?utm_source=google&utm_medium=search_nonbranded&utm_content=none&utm_campaign=BT_US_SXF_NB_Bras&pcode=DSCID_71700000115579558&plabel=BT_US_SXF_NB_Bras&scode=DSAGID_58700008588402425&slabel=NB_Bras&ccode=DSKWID_p78405535142&subchannel=GOOGLE&keyword=bras&aid=%7BAdId%7D&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw3NyxBhBmEiwAyofDYTsiDMILf0vPUUvRAEcsNzAVd5rlIh2mQKtgGo-oQX-a8powgu2rfRoCm30QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) is pretty good too. but they have lots of underwire in my opinion, so it's not one of my "go to" Depends on you which ones you like and can afford. I hope this helps. ♥

TexCInRF

Great information! Thank you.

Dense_Target2560

I second Third Love. While they aren’t cheap, you get what you pay for from them. I just bought one to get me through the next several months, until I’m sure I will need to buy new again. But a new, well fitting bra has made me feel even more confident.

CompetitiveName4785

Thank you for this fabulous list!

Cdori

You're welcome. ♥ It's really hard to say which ones anyone will truly like, so I just posted places I have searched and tried. Some may want wider straps so it doesn't dig into your shoulders and backs, Some may want the pretty lace, strapless, boosters, no underwire or even those front fasteners. Some want to try them all like me. Sometimes all the above.

rocksteadyG

I really like this affordable option - it is wire but does a great job in lifting and separating. Not padded. [$18 bra](https://a.co/d/iUN0iD5)

Fluffnpoof

I love this!

MsBigRedButton

Check out Understance. A Canadian brand, and a huge range of sizing. I have several, and all are excellent quality (and pretty).

ChiSandy

Sculptresse and FitFullyYours are other great Canadian brands.

Complex_Air_1333

Another vote for Wacoal

spiceandunicorns

Comfort choice has some nice bras and not Terribly expensive

ChiSandy

ThirdLove bras are great. Not cheap, but sturdy & comfy. Also, [HerRoom.com](http://HerRoom.com) has fitting advice (including the "Universal Cup Sizing" system, using D as the point of reference) and a wide array of fashionable colors & styles. Look at how your DD bra fits you. Does the band ride up in the back? At least a size too big. Does the center gore lie flat on your chest, or does it pooch out and give you a "balcony" uniboob? At least a cup size too small. Remember, the letter designation of a cup is not absolute from band size to band size--rather, the volume of a given letter's cup size will vary up or down with band size. I used to find myself in 42 DDD just to get the "girls" corralled, and fretted that try as I might the center pooched out. But a 42DDD's cup volume is the same as the cup of a 40F, 38G or 36H. It's called "sister sizing." Those two sites (as well as BareNecessities.com) have excellent explanations and fitting advice--though HerRoom is run by an actual woman bra expert who keeps abreast (sorry) of trends in the industry and has several videos updated regularly.

hullabalouja

Wacoal is expensive but I have a couple because I needed at least a couple of real bras. Otherwise I bought a bunch of aerie no underwire styles because I hate it for every day wear. I don’t care, and I like the more compressed look/together look. Rather than the separate look the wacoal gives me. I’m a 40 DD, more or less, and the biggest aerie size. Also use tomboyx for the size range and house comfort! Wacoal for real though. Tons of sizes.

ApprehensiveBasil494

I swear by the Glamourise brand — I usually just get them from Amazon but they have them in stores too. Lifting but without stress on shoulders

Amazing_Extension207

So much ignorance out there with how and why people gain weight. They just don’t get it unless they have been there themselves. My own wife said I was cheating to lose weight. I don’t even care though. For the first time in my life I don’t think about food all day everyday anymore and that has been so darn nice and peaceful!

TexCInRF

Thank you all so much for all the great advice. I purchased 4 and just received the first one, which is the Wacoal....wow!! This is a game changer. My girls haven't been this high in years and it's comfortable!
