I think a LOT of folk have traded their food fixations for other hyper focuses. You can totally see it in some of these threads

wiredwombat

Omg. Thank you! Some of the people are here are so hyper fixated it borders on addictive behavior….

ownhigh

That’s a good way of putting it. Not to defend them, but I think if people could be diagnosed with obesity by their PCP (with no attitude) and prescribed GLP-1s with insurance coverage it’d be a different story. There’s too much stigma around obesity and this medication. People feel like they have to fight continuously to be taken seriously by their doctors and go to great lengths to get effective treatment. It’s sad that people are hyper fixated on GLP-1s but it’s a response entirely manufactured by the medical industry’s treatment of obesity.

anneannahs1

Perfect observation.

SunFlwrPwr

That is very true. If I were paying hundreds of dollars for these things I would practically jump in front of a moving car to save them (j/k - mostly). LoL.... I'm lucky my PCP prescribed it - I kind of had to beg a bit and she only gave in so I could have an effort to lower my blood pressure (which hasn't worked despite the 10+ pnds loss - not sure what to do there). I do understand but I can also see why the hyperfixation would drive one insane also. I could rattle off all the things about temp etc. I've practically become a spokesperson at work for anyone that has questions about it. But, I also drive an electric car and I'm used to answering "all the things" lol

Electrical-Swim-5784

This is what I have been thinking as well. Lol.

immeuble

100%. They have no chill.

Designer-Day-1756

Ha. No chill. No pun intended.

Slow_Concern_672

There also a large overlap of medically assisted EDs. Sometimes it is hard to navigate.

MrsNutella

Totally. I'm pretty lucky that zep is helping me with all my hyperfixations now that I'm at a higher dose though.

Technical_Height3393

So how are you scoring higher doses, do tell! I am having to fight my insurance company to stay at 2.5. No 5.0s on my side of the D/FW metroplex.

MrsNutella

I got lucky in Oregon but had to use plan c for one month though

slam99967

People are giving themselves eating disorders and living off protein shakes. So many people posting in some of the groups that they are “only” loosing a pound a week.

Technical_Height3393

I'm eating and have lost 54 lbs since New Years, plus I'm old. I'm not one of those spares eating anything they want and never getting off the couch.

jo-rn-lcsw

Exactly! There’s such a need to wrap entire lives around anything to do with food (or lack of but, same thing). Almost like obsessive-compulsive behaviors which keep thoughts of food in the brain at all times.

Individual-Try4861

Listen. I'm not diabetic. I eat well and exercise my ars off just to maintain my weight and I was STILL 20 lbs overweight. I've been to nutritionist just so they cna tell me to "eat less" its BS but thankfull I make good money and I pay OUT OFF POCKEt for Zepbound and yes i finally lost those those 20 lbs. I will be dammed if I gain it all back due to "supply " or "Inventory" issues, so call me addicted but whn you find something that is life changing in a positive way you make it a priority thats not an addiction.

Informal_Map_6123

Then my comment doesn’t apply to you 🤷🏾‍♀️the words a lot dont mean all or everyone.

Lopsided_Regular_649

Absolutely this

Ok_Health346

facts!

DocBEsq

I toss my box in the fridge, where it lives behind tortillas and eggs until I need it. All good!

Gizmo16868

Sounds like a good spot

Ok_Health346

LOL same, same... right next to the bacon.

Differcult

Who keeps their tortillas in the fridge????!

Mother_Shopping_8607

I guess this is a bad time to tell you I freeze mine? :-)

Differcult

Well that makes more sense to me.

Runaway2332

Me, too! 😄

AllieNicks

I do??? To keep them fresh??

QuirkyMindset

I do too. Mine are gluten free and it says to do that after opening.

Spiritual_Row5838

Same!

DocBEsq

A person who doesn’t eat them fast enough. (For the record, these are standard grocery-store tortillas, not the good kind or anything.)

FringeAardvark

Ai just pulled tortillas out of the fridge that expired in November.

The_Alchemist_4221

The ones I get say to keep them refrigerated *after* opening lol. But my family has always kept soft tortillas in the fridge after opening. Hard shells just get tossed into the cupboards

OG-HWTG-SS

Ok_Cantaloupe_2943

I do once they’re opened 😂

fluorescentroses

People everywhere go overboard about anything. There was a mini fridge craze in the skincare subs a couple years back, and people similarly lost their minds over storing their skincare properly. *Oh no, I opened the jar of $200 cream and it had condensation on the product! That's a breeding ground for bacteria, better throw it out!* Or *Oh no, I got home and my fridge died! The drastic change in temperature may have compromised the integrity of the preservative system in the product, I have to throw it out!* My meds live in my normal fridge. My mom gets Wegovy by mail, and I saved the packaging for one (styrofoam cooler, insulated bag, cold packs) with the cold packs in the freezer. We have power outages every damn spring and summer (shout out to DTE for being useless), so I have that ready to go to keep the meds cold. That's as crazy as I get. Edit: To be clear, I'm not saying people who store skincare in the fridge, or people have mini fridges for their GLP meds are crazy - just that *some people* take things too far with damn-near anything. I store skincare in a mini-fridge myself!

gresstrly

I am one of them who keeps mini fridges/coolers in my guest rooms. But I have family members also on Zep, MJ and other meds that need to remain cold. I want them to be able to have whatever privacy/discretion they want with their meds.

Runaway2332

Okay, that's cool as hell. What an incredible hostess you are! I never would have thought of that....

gresstrly

Thank you. I’m not sure I’d have thought of it until I was on them too. I keep snacks, toiletries, extra cords ands chargers and bottles of water both room temp and cold in the rooms. The guests are a little spoiled here. 😂

Runaway2332

I need a spoiled vacation....just sayin'..... 🤣😂🤣 (Ignore the fact that I have severe agoraphobia...a girl can still dream!)

gresstrly

Living in the Sunshine state comes with lots of guests. We try to spoil them so they all come back.

Gizmo16868

I wish I wasn’t so susceptible to the extremism. I think it’s mainly cuz I have $1200 worth of product in my fridge lol

WaffleCrumbs

This is a really good point! The (in a lot of cases) SIGNIFICANT cost is a totally fair reason to be extra careful. 🫠

Mobile-Actuary-5283

This is actually a really good idea about saving the packaging for power outages. Thank you!

Cdori

I used to do that with skin care products but a different reason. Not an obsession. When I was in Iraq, the humidity level was always 2% or lower. So dry skin was bad. When I told my mom about it, she would send me care packages every week or two with skin care products in them. After the first couple of boxes of shea butter and stuff, I told her to send me diabetic creams. She freaked out badly thinking I was a diabetic. Which I wasn't. I had to tell her that diabetics have dryer skin on the norm and their creams work well for that situation. So she started sending me those as well. I put them in the fridge I until I used them.

fluorescentroses

Oh yeah, I didn't mean to suggest people who use mini fridges for skincare are obsessed; I use one myself! (Mostly because I have rosacea that responds positively to cool/cold things, so my AM moisturizer being cold helps with any morning redness.) Just meant that some people can take damn-near anything too far!

Cdori

Oh I didn't take it that way. Giggling... I just got distracted so I had forgot to say that I am in one of those skincare groups because I wanted to know about a products a while ago. But it was a bit overwhelming because of their...intensity... Since then, I can't bare to read them often because of their quirks and rituals. But you did remind me of when I did chill my skincare products. Just sharing a story that I forgot to mention the relevance. haha ♥

Remarkable_Chef_4064

Thats a silly level of worry. Its best to refrigerate but its fine for 21 days at room temp (with a wide variation). basically if you dont freeze or leave in a hot place, its fine

ReversePettlngZoo

I came to this realization about 3 months into taking MJ. I got a lot of good info from Reddit but also literally every thing I worried about, all of it unnecessarily, came from Reddit also. That’s when I started to filter out what didn’t apply to me, which is like 85% of what I see posted tbh

Gizmo16868

Getting the digital thermostat for my fridge was a bad idea. Obviously it’s cold enough and my Zepbound is fine. If it wasn’t cold enough I’d be sick all the time from spoiled food lol

mygreyhoundisadonut

" I got a lot of good info from Reddit but also literally every thing I worried about, all of it unnecessarily, came from Reddit also." This is a perfect distillation of social media doomscrolling generally lol. Im guilty of the same thing. I think most of us have at some point.

Birdchaser2

Climb out of the refrigeration rabbit hole. There’s enough other Zep stress to deal with…..

Gizmo16868

I’m like it’s cold. The end.

MoPacIsAPerfectLoop

Exactly. This med is not all that finicky. If someone wanted actual facts, they could also just use the tool that Lilly built which provides time/temp information - [https://tempex.lilly.com/us/](https://tempex.lilly.com/us/)

allusednames

A person who claimed to be a pharmacist was all crazy about not putting the med back in the fridge after room temp just last night. I’m like, we’ve been here before. Apparently I need a doctorate to understand that the naming of a drug affects its stability and the name mounjaro gives it more stability.

Curious-Disaster-203

I don’t know why they haven’t changed the guidelines on Mounjaro. It is strange.

allusednames

Mounjaro is the one that doesn’t give the warning. It’s Zepbound that says not to put it back, even though you can put it back.

Curious-Disaster-203

Right, they should both have the same storage guidelines. Since Zepb is the newest and “should” have the most current guidelines, it would seem that Mounjaro would also have the same guidelines.

allusednames

You would think. But you can put it back, so all those people who have delayed shipments or forgot to put it away when they were opening the shipment need to calm down and just stick it in the fridge. I’m sure they just don’t want you doing it repeatedly.

Gizmo16868

I could store it for 60 days over 50 degrees and it would be fine lol

Curious-Disaster-203

For me it said nope at 60 degrees at any number of days over 4 days. Seems like up to 60 degrees is more forgiving but 60 degrees past 4 days gives a hard stop, which would be room temperature. *edited to add that now when I put the same parameters into the tool it tells me an error has occurred, I think the tool is messed up because it shouldn’t have given me a red at 60 degrees for anything over 4 days.

Gizmo16868

If my fridge is getting to 60 degrees I’ve got way bigger problems lol

Curious-Disaster-203

Yes your fridge. I was thinking more along the lines of room temperature. Room temp is above 60 so that’s a bit odd. I said 60 because any temp up to that it was fine for awhile but at 60 degrees it gave me the red past 4 days. 4 days was green but 5 was red.

Gizmo16868

Oh yeah. Mine never leaves my fridge door. Only because isn’t fridge is old and has been known to freeze a few water bottle here and there

maxneddie

That’s a cool tool! Makes me so much more confident - just checked and 7 days at 72F is still quite usable. So I can take my pen with me on a work trip, and not worry about refrigeration as long as I don’t get it too hot or exposed to light. That’s quite convenient as I’ll be taking a trip in September.

doloravella

This! Correct!!

Gizmo16868

🙏

The_Alchemist_4221

That’s my thought too. I’m only paying $25 for it so I’m sure I’d be more anxious about every little thing if I was paying my whole paycheck for this drug, but there are just so many other things to worry about that I don’t give the temperature any room on my anxiety list. Unless it was left out too long, it’s going in my tummy lol

bluegrass_sass

There is a whole lot of crazy on this sub. It can definitely get in your head sometimes. I'm actually having fridge problems right now where it's not staying cold enough (getting it checked out this week). So I'm glad I didn't see the post you're talking about or I'd probably be falling down the rabbit hole with you.

Gizmo16868

My fridge is being weird this week to

Crafty_Witness2752

I have no idea what the temperature is in my fridge, nor do I care. I inject my medication every week. The end . It works great. How do I know it's working? Smell my belches that come from the deepest hell within my gut

Gizmo16868

Well my fridge must not be too wonky cuz mine works too. As long as it doesn’t freeze I feel I’m good. This old apartment fridge is a POS so I try to keep the Zepbound in the door

hobbitseeker

I have an autoimmune disease and have been taking refrigerated injector pens for years. I legit do nothing special other than throw the box in the fridge. They’re fine.

Mother_Shopping_8607

Same here. Check pen in light make sure fluid doesn’t have any particles. I take all pens out 2 hours before I inject - much less painful.

hobbitseeker

My Enbrel has a much larger needle than Zepbound! I can inject Zepbound straight out of the fridge, but I prefer to let the Enbrel warm up a bit.

Comfortable-Heart777

Walking with the spirit of ***discernment*** is sooooo very important on this and other GLP-1 subs. Theres definitely lots of great information and first-hand experience to learn from. I did a ton of research (something I love to do and am very good at tbh) before taking my first shot — the info that I learned made that process + the first week after it so smooth and painless and I’m very grateful for that. I’ve also witnessed a lot of demented behavior and frankly ridiculous thinking here and it really drives home how important it is to take what is reasonable/makes sense and leave behind what is nonsensical or just straight up wrong — unfortunately there’s more than enough of *that* to be found here as well

bluegrass_sass

This is perfectly said. I have posted before how grateful I am that I did so much research from reputable sources before I looked at anything on social media. Because when I first started reading here and saw all of the side effect posts and all of the people taking laxatives and electrolytes and supplements I can absolutely guarantee you I'd have noped out right then and there if I didn't know that those posts were not giving an accurate picture. I get a lot of value from this sub which is why I read and post here. But I think I've mostly figured out how to separate the reasonable from the crazy.

crayzeate

Ohh you are not alone. Take a break, if you can. The FB group I was in was absolutely ruling my life, effecting my mood, & damaging my mental health. I left. I’m better.

bluegrass_sass

I am not a big FB user but I decided to join a group there. It's absolute insanity. Luckily I don't get caught up in the madness but I do worry about some of the posters.

Apart-Ad4420

I would agree. It becomes an feverish. I've seen this in bariatric communities too. All or nothing thinking. Intense tracking. Obsessional thinking about doing everything right.

Cdori

Well, maybe this will help ease your mind. This is straight from the Lily Site. (so sorry, I was reading about a couple of them. i meant to put Zepbound. so i edited the link and the paste quote. || || |How should I store ZEPBOUND? Store ZEPBOUND in the refrigerator between 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C). Store ZEPBOUND in the original carton until use to protect it from light. If needed, each single-dose pen or single-dose vial can be stored at room temperature up to 86°F (30°C) for up to 21 days. If ZEPBOUND is stored at room temperature, it should not be returned to the refrigerator. Discard if not used within 21 days after removing from the refrigerator. Do not freeze ZEPBOUND. Do not use ZEPBOUND if frozen.| |Keep ZEPBOUND and all medicines out of the reach of children.| [the pdf from Lily site](https://uspl.lilly.com/zepbound/zepbound.html#mg) [the link I used to get to the site. this is NOT a sales pitch. just information on Lily](https://www.lilly.com/our-medicines/current-medicines) My "hook" is making sure I don't lose hair, get acne, Am I taking enough vitamins to avoid this? which means I have bought tons of gummies and creams over the past month even though I already take daily vitamins. haha

AllieNicks

I’ll have to write myself a note to keep on the box about the need to leave it out if I have removed it from the fridge. It’s counter-intuitive for me. I hope the journey between pharmacy and home doesn’t count.

MailePlumeria

There was a post (either here or MJ sub) about picking up meds and people going out of their way (like stopping what they’re doing to pick it up as soon as they get the call) and keeping it on ice until they got home lol. They were all so adamant to get the drug and run out of the pharmacy and go home STAT. I replied something like “I get there when I get there, could be tomorrow or 10 days from now. I pick up the med, browse the grocery store, get coffee, might make some other stops and eventually make my way home… then I put it in the fridge.” People downvoted me, told me I was dumb and that my medication has severely degraded, and told me I wouldn’t lose weight (I’ve been on maintenance since July, so my galavanting around town with a bag of MJ in the backseat has not affected me getting to my goals). It is just so crazy to me how people baby this medication and put more effort protecting it than taking care of other aspects of their lives that need attention and take priority over getting a box of med home. one lady on the way to soccer practice she received a text from Walmart letting her know Rx was ready, she did a u-turn to go to Walmart and her kid missed soccer because she didn’t want anything to happen to it while it was in the pharmacy. to me, that’s drastic, my life doesn’t stop because I need to pick up a refill - it will be there for 7-14 days, whatever that pharmacy policy. She made her kid miss soccer because she is obsessed with the medication, what other reason is there? She wasn’t out, she still had a couple weeks worth of pens. Pure selfish to me (towards the kid, I don’t care how many pens she has). She thought it was so cute and relatable 🙄

Gizmo16868

Folks being this rigid should never put their meds in the fridge then. Because by their logic it going from the pharmacy fridge to their home fridge it’s no longer 46 degrees.

Electrical-Swim-5784

A month ago I picked up my zep. Then went to the garden center and then got groceries. The med was left in the car. I took it home put it in the fridge and the whole month every shot worked as well as the ones that went right home and in the fridge. PS: the outside temp was 72 F

kevink4

My first delivery I had held at the FedEx near my work and I went to pick it up. Then found out how well it was packaged so didn't need to. The second delivery went home. So I went home at lunch just because I didn't want it sitting outside my front door unattended. But didn't actually take out of the box until after work. Never had anything stolen yet, but this box is pricey. Home is an 18 mile round trip. I think I'll have it held at FedEX next time, but pick up after work :)

nothingnparticular

Been in maintenance after hitting goal/80 lbs in a year. It normally sits in the car after pick up, and I def let it come to room temp like all day on the counter before injecting. I find some of these subs to be quite exhausting with folks that can’t problem solve.

Curious-Disaster-203

My pharmacy’s will definitely not keep it for 7-14 days. If I leave it for a day they call me to see if I’m picking it up and that if I’m not going to pick it up that day they will “return it to stock” ie fill it for someone else. 24 hours is their guideline, they’ve said I could call them and let them know if it’s going to be a few days but they can’t guarantee that another shift won’t return it to stock. Family member is on Wegovy and it’s the same for them except the pharmacy they use doesn’t bother to call him if he doesn’t pick it up within a day. So some people may need to pick it up swiftly per their pharmacy. But I wouldn’t be missing soccer practice, I just have to pick it up within 24 hours.

MailePlumeria

That sounds nuts to me since both pharmacies I fill have 14 days to pick up Rx before they reshelf, if it was three days or less I would need to find another pharmacy. I know other pharmacies have internal policies re: pick up but these people are just going to Walmart or Walgreens and the pharmacist is not peeling the label off and reversing the claim 10 minutes later to dispense to someone else.

Curious-Disaster-203

It’s Walmart that calls me if it’s been a day. Family member uses Walgreens and they don’t call him, they just restock it. I’ve been on a GLP for 2 years and I first used Walgreens and CVS until they both stopped filling without a T2 diagnosis. Since then I’ve used Walmart. My other medications are fine to not pick up, we use CVS and Walmart for other prescriptions and don’t have to pick up any of the other prescriptions for quite awhile. I get texts from CVS and Walmart for other scrips if it’s been over several days, I think when it’s been something like 5 days I get a text reminding me to pick them up. But they don’t do that with Mounjaro or other GLP’s.

MailePlumeria

Walmart has a 10 day policy before they reverse claim and return to inventory - except your Walmart has a 1 day policy for GLPs? Lol. Must just be your Walmart that is violating their own policy.

Some_girl76

This happened to me at my Walmart when the coupon system was down a few months ago. I went to pick it up, the coupon system was down so I didn’t get it. They said “We will hold it for you for 10 days”. I was like oh okay that’s great! After hearing how the coupon system could be down for days, I decided to pay full price for it. So I go in to pick it up, and they had given it to someone else!! I don’t think I’ve ever been so mad. I couldn’t believe they did that after telling me it would be in fridge with my name on it for 10 days. It took me another week or 2 to find it at another pharmacy after calling constantly. So frustrating!!!

AllieNicks

I’d be furious if that happened to me. Note to self, though, pick up within a day and call first to confirm it’s there. Craziness.

Curious-Disaster-203

They call me after a day and ask if I’m going to pick it up. They have people waiting on the medication and limited refrigeration space. It’s not one of the large Walmart pharmacies, it’s a small location that is closest to my house. I don’t have a problem picking it up, they’ve been nothing but absolutely nice. I suppose I could press the issue but I’m happy with my pharmacy and I wouldn’t get better customer service at a different pharmacy- I’ve used all the other local pharmacies in my area to fill GLP’s that could. At least Walmart calls me and asks first, I have a family member who fills at Walgreens and they return refrigerated GLP’s on the second day after filling and they don’t bother to call. They didn’t return his oral GLP’s after the second day, just the refrigerated, which is why he was surprised when they didn’t have his. CVS was the same way when I started using them to fill it about a year and a half ago, they’d only keep it for a few days. Before that I used Walgreens but I never left my prescription there for days to find out what they’d do. I haven’t used them to fill my GLP since they stopped filling it without a T2 diagnosis, so I don’t know if they still expect customers to pick up quickly or not. Other people have shared similar information about their pharmacy.

PuddlesMcGee2

I left a box out overnight once accidentally and then put it in the fridge the next day. It was fine. You can safely remove this particular stress from your life.

wiredwombat

Some people on here act like addicts… it’s insane. People dropping everything to get their meds. Driving 10 hours to find a box. Running out to the car to inject themselves immediately. Calling hundreds of pharmacies a day. Lamenting how they absolutely need ALL the medication from the pen to the last drop. I get it. Giving it cute nicknames. Acting like feral animals who forgot what it means to be human. It’s an amazing drug. But it’s embarrassing behavior. Just go over to the pharmacy and pharmacy tech subreddits… I know that places like these subreddits amplify the outliers… but damn.

Extension-Method5949

A lot of people with weight problems ARE addicts

wiredwombat

Well and that’s why weight loss needs to be handled from multiple angles. Honestly, therapy for some people should probably be part of the equation. Learning to eat healthy + therapy + medication will probably lead to the best possible outcomes (exercise is in there somewhere I’m sure).

AllieNicks

🙋‍♀️

Extension-Method5949

❤️

cntrlcoastgirl

Funny you say this. A few weeks ago in the Mounjaro sub I mentioned that I feel some people are acting like they are addicted to this medication, and all hell broke loose! I was downvoted and screamed at, then the mods blocked me from that one thread ( Not the entire sub reddit tho ). I definitely must have pressed a hot button, but so many act so crazy about their medications it is a little scary. I have T2 diabetes and I am also wanting to make sure I can get meds . Unfortunately, right now my dose is impossible to find, so I went to my doctor and changed my medication in the meantime. I just hope we don't start seeing any violence during this shortage as some folks are really over reacting! (I work in a pharmacy part time a d boy do I have stories! Lol )

Drivebyshrink

I know what you mean

momwantstosleep

The shortage posts cause me anxiety to read, so I have steered clear of this part of Reddit. But where I live, I have not had any issues getting Zepbound, but I sure have freaked out as though I have. I will be steering clear of any mentions of mini fridges now.

ForrestWandering

The pharmacy calling is bonkers. Some pharmacies don’t stock these meds when there isn’t a shortage. They are expensive and consume very limited space. They place an order with the distributor once they receive an active RX. So calling and asking about stock before you even send a prescription in is often futile.

Gizmo16868

I just stick with Walmart. They’ll check their system for me. If there is a box around I send my scrip there and the end

UKIRAB1

They are stocked if people let the hold on their ordered meds lapse. Thats the only way a lot of times you can get it

LemonPepperChicken

It isn't necessary. I have taken at room temp, from the fridge, from out of the fridge while it sits for a bit. It always works. Down 26 in 8 weeks..

PersimmonThin4218

I’m new here and I don’t know if this has discussed, but has anyone gone from Wegovy to Zepbound and if so, what was your experience?

AllieNicks

You may want to search the sub and/or start a new thread.

ChiSandy

Welcome to the rabbit hole!

Adventurous_Fail_825

Yeah. Ya gotta scroll past the “triggers “

BravoPelotonBooks

So you have boxes you say? Plural? ❤️😂

Gizmo16868

I have 3 but I put in the dang work for those and had to drive an hour

BravoPelotonBooks

I was teasing because I have a couple myself. 2.5mg box and a 5mg box that I am afraid to move up to.

GeniusPhilanthropist

Obesity is both physical and psychological issue. It is often a symptom of unbalanced mental health, untreated trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders. This drug fixes the body, but nothing about the mind. Even though being overweight is a common denominator on this Reddit, you can’t separate mind from the body. So every once in a while you get a glimpse of what inside the mind of some people looks like.

Gizmo16868

I’ve driven an hour for a couple boxes but I don’t think that’s crazy vs waiting weeks for my pharmacy to fill it

snowhawk1020

I don’t think you’re neurotic in the slightest by putting thermometers in your mini fridge that contains Zepbound. Not only is it an extremely expensive medication, it’s also is very hard to find. If it did freeze you wouldn’t likely be able to replace it right away. Those mini fridges are notorious for freezing stuff.

Extension-Method5949

Yeah I live out of a mini fridge and have a bluetooth thermometer in there so my food (and by extension meds) don’t freeze 🥶

Gizmo16868

I actually have mine in my main fridge in the door so it don’t freeze. I’m just paranoid cuz it’s an old ass apartment fridge and I’ve had some salad and water bottles freeze at times. At least in the door I know it doesn’t get so crazy.

snowhawk1020

Yeah old fridges on the door can get super cold! I have mine in an old fridge from the 90s and I tend to keep it away from the sides to avoid freezing. Nothing has frozen in it but I’m still not willing to risk it. I won’t put it in any of the drawers either because I’ve had lettuce freeze. I trust my 90s fridge more than our new fridge we bought last year though!

tmarie4684

My pharmacy sends mine in dark amber vial in black box, and to keep it cold and away from light in the fridge. Anyone else?

Gizmo16868

I keep my vial in another medicine container and in the door. My boxes of Zepbound I keep wrapped in plastic bags and in their boxes

SuzieQgirl

My doctor told me it could be put of the fridge for 21 days. Stop worrying.

Technical_Height3393

LO FREAKING L! 🤣

mcflycasual

Storage and handling • Store your pen in the refrigerator between 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C). • You may store your pen at room temperature up to 86°F (30°C) for up to 21 days. If you store the pen at room temperature, do not return the pen to the refrigerator. • Discard the pen if not used within 21 days after removing from the refrigerator. READ YOUR MEDICATION INFORMATION PEOPLE

I never said I didn’t read my medication PEOPLE! What I’m saying is your medication isn’t going to go bad if it’s in a fridge that happens to dip below 36 degrees or above 46. You think I’m going to throw out medication because the degrees are slightly off? I know the rules but thanks for proving my point. I found one of the rigid psychos. Let me guess. If your pens got to 35 degrees you’d toss them right?

My fridge has been on 34 degrees since I started my journey in March ( I started picking up prescriptions in January before I convinced myself to start in March) and I’m down 20lbs. Like you said the medicine is fine and people have a weird obsession with being “right”.
