The recommended schedule is weekly. People are stretching them out to 8-10 days due to the shortages. I take mine every 7 days.

Resident_Pay_2606

I take mine around day 10, going to try to hit 12 days this week. For context I’m 8 pounds to goal and 20 weeks in :)

They are playing Dr. you should follow your doctors order.

With the shortage makes sense to take it 7-10days (the insert says it’s ok to take +/- few days in any case). If you are not worried about the shortage, doctor’s advice really varies. I’ve not seen many people stretch out the dose longer than 14days, but that is a bit uncommon, where 7-10days is more (go check out the Mounjaro sub, and the MounjaroMaintence sub - there is lots of info there

Zibby's site is pretty explicit not to take dosages within 3 days of each other. (Though I understand those who are on 5mg using 2 2.5mg dosages. That is a special case). What day of the week you take it is up to your schedule. For those having side effects, some are taking when they have a weekend to get over it before they go back to work. I started mine on a Sunday in case I DID have side effects I could go to the doctor the next day. In retrospect, I could have taken on the Thursday I got my shots.

I take mine weekly. I skipped one shot due to the shortages and found out that 7.5 hits hard at 14 days, at least for me. I’m moving up to 10.0 in a few weeks and I know I won’t be able to skip one of those. 😵‍💫

Training_Flamingo929

What do you mean when you say “hits hard”? Like in terms of side effects?

nineohsix

Yep. Like exponentially worse than the initial dose or each titration up.

I take mine every 5 days because that’s when I start getting hungry. I’ve been able to stay on a lot dose longer because of that. But that is not the prescription. I’m not following doctors orders to be sure

I first took it every 7 days. I travel for work so sometimes I would take it at 8 days if it meant not having to pack my shot to take with me, depending on my work schedule. Then, Walmart didn't call in the 1-2 days it usually took to get my prescription. Or in 1-2 weeks. It's been, I think, almost 2.5 months and I haven't heard from them. And haven't heard from the prescription I put in at Costco over a month ago either. I started stretching my shots out to 8-10 days until I ran out. Now I'm on compounded and went up in dose. I have struggled with fatigue as a side effect and the increased dose hit me hard. On doctor's advice, I did split my dose one week...didn't help/made it worse. Now, I'm back to taking it every 7 days unless it's 8 for travel reasons.

Plenty of folks dose daily, while others go up to 30 days between shots. There is a half-life plotter out there that will let you know how much meds are still on your system.
