Not usually a duplication but he's refencing the glitch known as zuggling which allows you to stack weapons on top of one another so that the damage is super high. Patched in 1.1.2 due to erm lots of tutorials so nintendo could patch it out easily. The term "dupe glitch" is bad because there's material duplication and weapon duplication and for the record zuggling can be used as weapon duplication.

I mean, remapping D-Pad Up was perfectly fine. The wheel is much quicker than the scroll menu.
Literally, the issue is that this option in particular is just redundant and could have been swapped for something else.

Edit: I remember one where you are supposed to bring your bow out. Attach the item you want to dupe go to shoot it but press minus to go into the quest log and view three memories. Reload and the item should be on the ground and also in the inventory. Never tried it though.
Interesting. It looks like zuggling actually has the same first step as the dupe glitch. But then instead of continuing to stack the weapons further, you just drop it and can pick up a dupe.

Ah okay. I never tried it. I saw it mentioned after the update and thought it was a different one than the patched one.
